We had the 2 bedroom unit which sleeps 6. It was spacious, clean and well maintained. Beds were very comfortable.
Being dog friendly was also a huge plus.
Rates were reasonable.
Owner was friendly and very helpful. No complaints here.
Definitely would book here again.
K. P.Very nice, were brilliant at reception. I was late in but they were very happy and very friendly. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and location is perfect for shops. 10/10 from me. Ill definitely be back. You can do a nice walk out to dinner from your room. Its within 800m from restaurants.

After arriving later than expected from Aussie, we searched high and low for accommodation in any town and all booked. Finally came across Barringtons with 1 room left so I called and was told they'd wait up for us (at least an hour away)
By the time we got there it was 9:15pm but Kaye was so welcoming and purely by luck did someone cancel the room. The room was really big, the shower/water pressure was unreal and the whole set up was great. I really love good service and
Kaye was happy to have a chat despite us arriving past check in time! Good service is far and few between these days and we were really lucky that we found this little gem!
I do hope you guys get to come to Aussie with those future grandbabies!

An express check out was organized and the a/c was set so we arrived very comfortably. Our room was very spacious and clean.
We were amazed to find lazy boy chairs and moccona coffee as an extra.
Our only complaint is...we did not have enough time here!

N. B.Very accommodating hosts, friendly and helpful. Clean, large rooms, good location. Great carpark--I chose to stay here primarily because I could see from online photos that I'd be able to keep my eyes on my wee motorbike and the hosts are so nice they offered (unprompted) to store it in their garage for no additional charge. I didn't take them up on it as it's a very safe location but I appreciated this extra touch.

C. G.I have had the pleasure of staying at Barringtons for the past three weeks for work. Sue is amazing! The ladies who service the rooms are brilliant, friendly and welcoming. The rooms were so comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Because I work nights, Sue would come in and turn on the heating and lights so when I got home at midnight it was warm and safe. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you to Sue and the team for making me feel welcome and safe :) super clean, great wifi, bed was a delight and the showers were awesome.

Sue (Mananger) was fantastic! Funny, accommodating, went the extra mile on many occasions and proved an excellent host.
We stayed in a family unit that fitted our needs exactly for 4 nights post the Easter period
Tidy, clean, had all the necessities required. Spa / Bath combo, double bed + 2 singles

M. S.Barringtons Motor Lodge was our best value stay during our trip to the North Island. The motel is clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable, the lady at the desk was very helpful and friendly. The kitchenette had everything we needed to cook and eat an easy dinner. There even was a spa bath and a shower. We booked direct with them via phone and it couldn't have been easier. No Airbnb charge, our own space, it was just functional and we had a great stay. Many thanks!

I had accommodation previously arranged due to my fear of being murdered in motels thanks to movies I've watched in the past but I couldn't get to it in time. I felt welcomed straight away and the owner of the place gave me a quick run down of the rules and pointed out where to go for help which made me feel good. I had to wait while the room was being cleaned but it was made av for me. I got home from the wedding late at night but the area was lit enough that I wasn't fearing for my life ... although it didn't stop me from sleeping with the lights on. Thanks again.

k.Spent 1 night here on a recent weekend trip to Whakatane. Was allocated a King studio (rm 12) which was comfortable & spacious and relatively quiet.||Comfortable bed & more than adequate kitchenette with m/wave & hot plates plus fridge.
