R. W.Absolutely recommend this small family owned "little gem" motel
The room was so comfortable, clean and refreshing. We got upgraded at no extra cost. Our hosts were down to earth, very friendly and welcoming. The motel is on a busy road, we couldn't hear the traffic, it was quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and the bed was perfect. We'll be returning in the new year.

L. A.We enjoyed our 5 night stay, nice and cozy motel for family and couples. The staff and management were friendly and welcoming. The room and facilities were clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable. We liked that the room had its own kitchenette and facilities, which meant we could prepare our own meals, save a few dollars for activities. We will definitely go back and recommend this Motel to others!!

M. A.I went to visit my friend (who came up from Wellington) in Whakatane at the motel. Spacious, family room. I personally think it could've done with HRV Heat pump instead of the two heaters.

A. F.Very friendly owner and staff. Good location. Good room. One thing to note: there was no air conditioning in our room and from the look of the cinder block walls, little to no insulation either. It can get pretty toasty in the Bay of Plenty during summer. An AC fit out is probably not that cheap but I think the owners should consider it. We had a lovely stay
H.I booked my son an daughter n law a room .. New owners. Pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the room however I'm not a fan of bedspreads. Basically, being a cleaner myself, I know these blankets do not get washed immediately after use. Else the owners seemed very friendly an accommodating.
D. D.We had a lovely stay at this cute dog friendly motel. We upgraded for a room with a bigger patio, so worth it as missed out fishing due to the wind. The room was perfect, very clean and tidy. The host was exceptional and had good advice on the local fishing area. Highly recommend the Tourist Motel. 😊

H.stayed here one night as part of a road working crew, facilities were well looked after and a guest laundry for extra sheets, blankets or towels is a big plus. they have a spa pool being enough for a family of 5 however the one drawback is no Air Con. but fans in rooms or if you ask they may have one.
