J.This was a really solid place. Other motels all seem to be on main roads but this place was set back on a quieter street. We stayed three nights and slept comfortably thanks to the AC and comfy beds. Place was very clean and the housekeeping team were great. Got a genuine friendly welcome at reception.

K.Nice and quiet, great communication with Jenna about the after hours check in process which was easy and appreciated. The bed and shower are great, and the AC is nice and cold, great for hot Whanganui days. Free bottle of water and makeup wipes are lovely too

Clean, bathroom and kitchen gave us all we would need for a two night stay.
Heat pump worked well. We were not savvy enough to get the TV going as we would have liked.
Good wi-fi.
Beds were somewhat softer than we remember from a previous stay. Could have been firmer for our taste. The grounds and planting have been attending to very well in contrast to the untidiness of the previous visit.
C.Room was comfortable and had been updated which was nice, bathroom was lovely had a nice power shower - bit disappointed that the swimming pool had been filled in otherwise okay. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about Whanganui

B.Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Burwood Motel, such lovely people and so welcoming. Room were comfortable too and the motel is close to everything e.g. supermarkets and takeaways ( fast food - McDonalds, burger king etc. Loved the facilities that motel provided such as Netflix.

J.Great value for money. Large room with kitchen and large bathroom. Coffee plunger with coffee, tea and fresh milk. Big bed and lovely clean room. Receptionist couldn't have done more for us (we needed three parking places!).
m.We booked 3 units for our whanau. All three units were extremely clean and tidy. We enjoyed our short stay and we will re-book for future stays and recommend other whanau and friends to stay. Thanks to owner Ken and his amazing staff for looking after us.
A.Our renovated unit was attractive, very clean and quiet, with comfortable beds. The heat pump was good to have in the evenings. We appreciated the extra efforts towards hygiene, for example, running all cutlery and crockery through their dish washer daily. The staff were always helpful and warm.

K.Wow! We weren't expecting this. We booked in to a 3 star motel at a cheap price and we were expecting something very average...so happily surprised. We have stayed in 4 star motels alot worst! Infant this room 21 was fantastic. It was spacious, very clean and modern. The bathroom was really flash. This was in our top 10 motel stays of all time!

L.Usually stay at the Aotea on the main drag, but they were quite expensive for the night I stayed, and Burwood had a very cheap room rate.
Was a little concerned when I pulled up, as the outside of the motel looks quite old and tired. Check in was very friendly and efficient. Parking directly outside the room. Room had been recently renovated by the looks of it, and it looked as though other rooms further down where in the process of being renovated. Not that I heard any construction noise.
Room had a large separate, well equipped kitchen, with a lovely modern bathroom coming off the kitchenette. Room itself was large with a door out to a small garden area. Two beds, with a comfy sofa in the corner. Large wall mounted TV with freeview and Netflix. A screaming hot night in Wanganui, so was thankful for the lovely air conditioning.
Whole unit was impeccably clean including the linen.
Good location close to Victoria Street and all the eateries along there. The Tariff was extremely good and Burwood offers fantastic value for money.
Cant fault this place except for the dated exterior, so 5 stars for Burwood, and look forward to returning.

It advertises a pool. It is a waist high, above ground pool, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. Lots of floaties for the kids to play with.
Laundry was available which was a bonus.
Rooms were clean and had kitchenette... Another bonus for us.

C.Clean and tidy rooms. We booked 4 rooms and the whole team were happy with the accommodation. Friendly receptionist on arrival too.
T.Rooms are spacious and comfortable! Close proximity with regards to Burger King, Maccas, Pak n Save and Countdown. However the staff isn't there 24/7. If at all you are planning to do an early morning check out make sure you inform the staff well in advance. This is because you might have to drop your room key in a box near the reception since the staff member wouldn't be there early in the morning.
C.So modern + clean and presented perfectly. Service very cheerful + welcoming. Very handy to centre of town.
We will always head here again if staying in Whanganui.
J.Had the pleasure of staying there two nights over Christmas break. The rooms have recently been renovated to a really high standard, and as such are immaculately clean and a real pleasure to stay in.
The beds, linen and pillows are all very new, and as such very comfortable
There's a pool, a sauna, and a spa, as well as ample facilities to wash clothes etc.
The host Aimee was really helpful, and it was a pleasure to deal with someone so friendly and professional.
Location is fantastic, very central to the entire city, and really close to the CBD.
