T.Comfortable, well located, friendly welcome, and easy overnight charging for our electric vehicle. Ambience and some fittings are dated (80s) but I didn't notice any maintenance issues. Shower was new but on the weak side. Beds were quite springy but surprisingly comfortable. Basic but good value.
e.The riverside is a great value motel. The decor is dated, but has been well looked after, there is plenty of space and the kitchen is excellent. The beds and other furnitureis very clear and tidy and well we were there the owner came along every day and maintained the room we were in and with a smile if we needed anything he was on happy to help we are looking forward to seeing riverside motel again and on our next trip to whanganui the riverside motel will be our first choice for us

J.Having been a Whanganui resident for decades until recently, it was strange having to book a motel.
We were very happy to stay here. Graham was such a wonderful host.
Don't underestimate this comfortable, clean, superbly situated motel.

S.Good value for money. Best bit was the host, who is friendly and helpful, and goes above and beyond. The decor is a little old but seems well looked after. The room was spacious and comfortable for the price. We would stay here again.

B.Reasonable average accommodation. We felt decor a little tired. However very convenient to city and pleasant setting beside river. Road noise was a little tiresome during commuter hours. Helpful staff.
A.Good location, yes this motel is a little old, but so is whanganui in general. We stayed twice, both in a 1 bedroom and in a studio. The one bedroom was definitely better, and a more comfortable bed. The rooms were well equipped with kitchen gear, and other supplies.
D.This place is wonderful. We were offered a upstairs room. Beautiful view over the river. Great price and beautifully clean. The room was fresh and surprising big. I was impressed with the owner's attention to detail. Great advice on what to do and were to eat. I would recommend this motel.. stay in room 7. Cheers

G.We were fortunate to find this great little motel, only 3 minutes walk from the centre of Whanganui, but in a peaceful setting overlooking the beautiful Whanganui River. Our family sized room was excellent, with a separate bedroom for our daughter; very clean and functional. HIGHLY recommended. Whanganui is a lovely place to visit. Don't forget to check out Durie Hill elevator just across the river!
M.This is a very nice motel in a very good location over looking the river, we have used it for a few times and we have never had a reason to complain.
