Very well priced. Rooms exceptionally clean, and I love a fridge that keeps drinks extra cold. Friendly hostess. Only downside is we have a big ute and we were very lucky that it was not busy or we would not have fitted in the little car parks. Would definetly stay again.

Rooms are average but mostly clean. My kids found a pair of children's knickers in their bedroom robe that were taken out by staff when requested. The spa pool is colder than warm. There is somewhat of a language barrier.

Budget motel for the people who aren't looking to spend too much but want something comfortable. We paid $150 for a small room that has a queen bed, tv , kitchenette, couch & desk. The kitchen is equipped with an medium sized oven & modern microwave. The bathroom is a good size and has modern stand up shower with great pressure and a large modern basin & mirror. Free WiFi is also available and works well. Down the road there are a few small dairies/bakeries and a couple of fast food joints.

I genuinely can't fault Continental Motel at all, I rang late in the evening in desperate hope they had a room available which was needed within 2 hours for two of my children and I as we'd been travelling 5 hours already. Lovely Katherine (I'm guessing owner) helped me through an over the phone booking and our room was ready when we arrived just after 7pm, it was absolutely immaculately cleaned and smelt lovely!! I've was a professional cleaner for many years and I was outstandingly pleased with the level of cleanliness to which I found the cleaner in the morning and gave them my compliments before leaving ! Beds were comfortable along with the pillows so all and all brilliant overnight stay for us and we would definitely stay again to break up a very long journey. Note the Indian restaurant 250m up the road was delicious aswell!

Only stayed for a short overnight stay but was very impressed with the clean and tidy room. Especially after a long drive, We had the room that overlooks the pool and our only disappointment is that we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy it. Will stay again

The staff are wonderful, friendly and courteous. The studio apartment we had, very clean and spacious. Will definitely stay there again. Not sure about the cleanliness of the spa pool, the water was the color of pale brown.

Had a fantastic stay at this motel in the weekend. Room was slightly dated but very clean and spacious. The pool and spa was a treat on a hot day the facilities were very well kept. The proprietor was very kind and well-mannered. Will definitely return for another stay next time we visit Whangarei.

Only got to spend a night, wish we could have stayed longer. Room is set up well local to so much. Pool looked good but didn't have time to have a swim. Clean and easy to get around.

We had 2 bedrooms one room had a queen bed the other with 2 single beds, there was also a single bed in the lounge room. Everything was quite clean, it had air conditioning in the open plan kitchen/lounge. The bathroom was big the shower didn't drain very well and ended up flooding. The spa and pool were nice and clean. Take away and the local shops were also really close by.

Nice big shower and clean room, well equipped kitchenette Good location, close to town. Beds getting a little saggy, but still comfortable and slept well. WiFi was good, able to stream movies without any issue.

We loved this Motel. Very accommodating. Very affordable. Our single room unit was for 4 adults. One bedroom with 2 singles. Queen in lounge. All you need in the kitchen and bathroom. Pool and spa. Laundry . Kennington Pub with in walking distance. Supermarkets within 500m.

Dave, is such a welcoming host! I have stayed at few motels in the area but his service is second to none! Lovely spa, and pool if you wanna go for a swim and pretty homey place. Is a home away from home! Also love the restraunts down the road! So convenient!

Ticks all the boxes for us. Stayed room 7 over Auckland Anniversary. King bed, super comfortable, A/C in the room, cooking facilities. All at the right price. Operators friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back to this motel in the future

Ok room. Bathroom needs update. Shower missing some door parts. Leaking on floor. Great laundry swap daily. Plenty of towels for swim and hot tub.

On a last minute booking got a cozy room, clean, fresh and comfortable, the host was helpful and friendly. I worried about being in an outer unit so close to the road on a Saturday night but the only noise was the secadas and crickets. Recommend to anyone on all budgets.

The rooms are big and even though the motel is on a Main Street it was very quiet during the night. The pot to heat water had a short but I got it to work. When we came back from our day out the host had replaced it with what looked like a new one. We were allowed to check in early which was really nice.

So after a swim in the pool, it was of the dine out. What a great location this is, near the famous 'Jimmy Jack's Rib & Craft Bar'

Ansen is exceptional in his Management role here at Continental Motel. I often stay here regularly and usually from two to five nights. Location is perfect with two supermarkets, takeaways, restaurants, chemist gas station and gym within walking distance of the motel. There are very good accommodations available in Whangarei but this motel with the amazing staff, just has the little bit more that I default to every time. Often booked out I try and book as early as possible. Kia Ora

When we go to Whangarei for a getaway or business, we choose to stay at the Continental Motel as it is excellent value, super clean, modern and tidy, has a pool and a spa, super close to the main shopping area as well as restaurants, supermarkets, bars ... and the owners remember us and are very friendly and welcoming. All of these things make for a great place to return to after a long day and we appreciate having this motel as a consistently great place to stay.
