Absolutely beautiful stay for a last minute accomodation if you don’t mind missing the comforts of aircon and a kitchenette (again they were pretty full and was last minute stay needed) - the rooms were very clean and spacious (just no sky movies and limited dvd choices) and when room service was ordered some of foods we chose were unavailable. Buffet breakfast was nice but not hot. The views and building were lovely and the staff were amazing and easy approachable when we needed anything and were very happy to help when needed

Yum food with a good chef(Male) food is delicious and Cooked perfectly 👌🏼😊 rooms are standard nothing fancy and recommend all rooms have air con or a fan because it gets overly hot in there to the point I had to leave my front door wide open just to breathe without feeling suffocated 🙄 other than that it's algoods

Omg so beautiful and there meals are amazing that I have two large meals and two puddings and 3 drinks to myself never eaten that much before lol there rooms are very clean, beautiful ❤️ highly recommended to and love the services and workers there to well done will be back again fast lol 😂

Neat, clean & tidy. Great shower & beverage area, love the hot 🍫 chocolate brand. Only downsides - given a menu fir dinner & arrived to find it was buffet, which was amazing & my single bed did not work for an older adult woman - mattress slipped my, was lumpy & uncomfortable. Worked for a 2 night stay.

Lots of parking and great shower. Linen 100% needs replacing though- stains on bedding and the sheets are too crispy/like paper. Room a bit dusty. Would also be nice to have a choice of pillow thickness rather than just one option.

A great place to stay within a short walking distance of the city centre. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was showing signs of age in some places, but was presented to a high standard, with the fee being quite reasonable. The free unlimited Wi-Fi was a welcomed feature. The adjacent restaurant was aesthetically pleasing and the food was quite nice. Overall, despite some very minor gripes with the room, I very much enjoyed my stay and highly would recommend.

We stay at Settlers every time we come to Whangarei. The rooms are very clean, tidy warm and dry. The highlight of our stay are the staff, very friendly and they go above and beyond. They had the heat pump on before we arrived at the hotel so that our room was nice and warm. We’ve left stuff behind In the room after checking and they have held it for us and made arrangements to return it. We’ve tried out her hotels in Whangarei but they are not as good. We recommend this place and will continue to stay when in the city.

I had a comfortable stay here for four nights. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and good shower. Despite being near a busy road the rooms were quiet. The onsite restaurant also offers a good menu with good portions for the price. I recommend the Steak. I would not hesitate to stay here again in future.

A bit apprehensive on arrival as there were a lot of renovations going on but that meant our room was newly furnished and really nice. The property has a large frontage with huge trees which is lovely to look at from our window but …

All good. Lovely friendy lady at reception. We ask for a balcony room and got one no problem. Clean tidy room. Easy of road close to city centre. Easy parking. Good size bed. Very comfortable. Very nice restaurant.

Very friendly and professional staff. Check in was quick and easy. Lovely comfortable bed and quiet rooms. Handy to town and easy parking. Onsite restaurant has a nice atmosphere and great food. Have stayed here twice and enjoyed both experiences. Definitely recommended.

Stayed there this weekend and was really pleased with this hotel. The staff there are amazing, Rick (***ager) greeted the bridal party in the carpark when we arrived and it made me feel like everything was under control and being taken care of. The hotel offers a great location and the rooms are comfortable.

Nicely situated about 15 mins walk along the river to town centre/harbour front. Seems to be mainly used by commuters and driver's but has a reasonable bar and restaurant. Word of warning, the standard double is very short on space so if you have suitcases consider an upgrade to the comfort room at around $30 per night difference, well worth it for the ability to unpack comfortably.

We had a street side room which you'd think would be noisy but it was extremely quiet. The heatpump/heater on the wall made the room toasty warm in minutes. Everything we encountered was of a good standard but the staff made extra difference. Recommended for a break in whangarei and would happily revisit.

Our out of town quests took 10 rooms, double, twin & single, renovated and soon to be renovated. Staff are more than helpful with a freindly smile. The room had a lot of character and looked as though it had been recently renovated. Cheers Rick keep up the good work.

Enjoyed an overnight stay. Larger groups could use the open plan dining area which has plenty of room and a tranquil outlook. On my stay breakfast was included in the price, basic but all you need. We had a disabled guest for dinner and we were well looked after.

Bed and sheets didn't feel the cleanest and all night we could hear the traffic and noise from outside. We would not recommend this establishment to anyone following this experience. The venue is dated but the small room by the reception provide us with space to hold our seminar. Few niggly bits in the room that need some attention.

I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone visiting Whangarei to stay at this hotel. Throughout they maintained a high level of professionalism while maintaining a wonderful personal service. We had an ex buffet meal in the restaurant with plenty of choice including soup, meats, salads, veges, and desserts.

Around a 10 minute walk into town. Easy walk to marina for a relaxed after dinner walk. Thank you Rick and team for creating such a no-stress occasion. I will stay here again when I next visit Whangarei, and have recommended this place to all my friends and family in Australia.

Attended a confrence there. Kitchen staff where polite. Accomidating. Food was simple but delish. Plenty of food for all. Venues was clean and set up was great. Needed more staff on. Or those they had needed to check on coffee area. As maintenance was lacking. Needed to find someone to refill the very small water tanks and milk jugs.

Very friendly staff, nice garden with small pool and garden. Brekkie and dinner possible. Is more motel than hotel with common balcony or garden downstairs. Abt 15 min walking from center. Close to nr 1 hiway north-south all over the islands. No pretentions but all you may need seems to be here. Room ok, bathroom small with noisy fan, but you won't often use that at night.
