w.This is my favourite motel and i have been to many but this team understands what customer service is.
My room was emaculate, so so clean & the team is so friendly and so welcoming & i saw their appreciation of their customers by being greeted with warmth.
I gave 5 stars because during a pandemic it was nice be treated with care instead of just wanting the money, really a great place & I will reccommend to anyone. Thankyou team.

j.I had the absolute pleasure of being able to stay at the Kensington Motel for 8 weeks while I was up in Whangarei for work. Gordon and Heather are just the most lovely couple I’ve ever met, they made me feel completely at home in a new city, they we’re very kind and helpful and even went out of their way to help me look for a rental. The room was nice and cosy and made the time I was staying just fly by. I could not personally recommend a better place to stay in Whangarei other than the Kensington motel with their fantastic owners, Gordon & Heather, thank you guys so much!

s.The Motel is run by very friendly and helpful 😀 proprietors and it is very clean and welcoming. You are close to all amenities and some equally nice 😊 takeaways to cater for everyone 😀. Yummy 😋. I enjoyed 😉 my stay there and will definitely stay there again. 🥰

Only taken over 6 weeks ago.....they provide clean rooms, great location near Kamo food outlets and only minutes from central Whangarei.
N.Nice and tidy, beds always made on a daily and also comfy. Staff are really kind and helpful. Would recommend if staying for both short or long term.

T.Cleanest motel I've stayed in Whangarei to this date!! I have ocd and it drives me insane but felt like home and actually got to enjoy my room 🤗👍

A.Plain looking little motel from the road, within easy walk of Kensington Hospital, lovely friendly staff, beautifully clean and tidy room, bed was an absolute dream, nice and firm, lovely cosy blankets, shower was awesome, plenty of pressure, got proper milk in a little bottle, plenty enough for a few hot drinks. Fairly quiet, and nice access out onto the back road nearer the hospital as well.
J.I stayed in a studio room. Excellent quality! Best firm mattress I've slept on in a loooong time. If you like firm mattresses like I do, you will appreciate this place as much as I do.
Update: I like it enough to book again!

C.As last time a good stay. When I booked I was informed that the Motel was almost booked out with a school sports team but in the past they have been well behaved. Well they were and thank you for giving us the option of seeking out alternative accommodation. Great hosts and a good homely, clean unit.
B.Great little motel in a great location. The staff here are really lovely. Nice and tidy rooms, very comfortable. Internet here was also fairly good for a motel compared to most. Some amazing takeaway food options right next door! The pool area is really nice, great for kids. Would definitely stay here again.
J.Definitely value for money. What we like:
1. Location, it is next to 3-4 restaurants and Z petrol station. Countdown and New World are within 5 minutes walk.
2. Quiet, although the room is next to the road. We can hardly hear the noise.
3. Dedicated parking in front of our room.
4. Fan is available for use in summer, although we wish there's air-conditioning.
5. Clean and spacious room
6. Equipped with kitchenette and microwave, we even get a bottle of free milk!
Dislikes:
1. The bed is a bit too high for us.
2. The wifi speed could be faster.
M.Exactly what you need, it's tidy and nicely priced but I will say the shower has no pressure so it's like getting sprinkled on and is very slippery.
T.Clean and tidy with welcoming and friendly management. Great value also. I am really happy with my stay here and would book again.
A.Our room was gd we went out and they clean our bed room. One thing they didn't have big bowl for yr breakfast .The pot handle is loose

K.Only there one night, however Wonderful hosts, warm, welcoming. Lovely rooms (R8) everything there, couldn't ask for much more. Just wish we had stayed longer. Central to everything. Cheers and see you again soon.

D.Didn't actually stay, was visiting, but the rooms are well presented, well serviced. Not a luxury room. Not sure what the noise levels at night are but it's pretty close to a main traffic route.

This time round I came with my family only for a one day/night stay, We all really enjoyed how close things were, supermarket, chemist, restaurants etc.. the friendliness of staff and cleanliness of motel with great price range, THANKYOU!

after a very long day, we arrive to the hotel and jumped straight into the cold pool niiice!
2 minute drive to countdown
crossed the road to the liquor store
walked 1 minute to the fish and chip shop (yummy nasi goreng, battered sausages)
i would definitely recommend staying here
