H.I've stayed here a couple of times, same room(unit) about halfway back from road on ground floor. Cannot fault these guys or recommend them enough. The room was crazy clean, the shiniest kitchen bench and shower tray I've ever seen in my life!! The room had two double beds and a single, nice warm heater, sky tv, very comfy in general. The owners are really nice and friendly. The 2nd time I stayed here my son was in hospital and to top things off I got a flat battery when I went to pick him and partner up. Without even asking, they asked if I needed a jump start and came out straight away with cables. Legends! The cost is really affordable and it's super close to everything. Only thing I'm gutted about is that I didn't manage to sneak in a spa.
v.Rooms were comfortable, friendly staff, short walk to MacDonald.Only problem is trying to get out of the driveway.Not a lot of room to back around and drive out.
J.Clean and well located to town. I stay here alot with my daughter. The one bedroom units are perfect for us with either a double or single on the lounge. The bedroom had both a double and a single bed. Always spotless - you can see your reflection on the kitchen bench. Quieter location as it's not on state highway 1 where (if like me a light sleeper) you can hear the logging trucks at ungodly hours go by. If AA member ask for your discount 10%.

H.For a cheep motel its actually really good. I have never beem in a cleaner motel in my life.
The sink and shower is clean you can see a reflection of your gouch while showering it is unreal.
Starf here are very good and accommodating to your needs.
Close to town.
Small diary across the road.
Very close to McDonald's and kfc.
Down side is parking can be quite bad if you have a vehicle with poor turn circle as it is one way in, one way out.
It is on a main road so there is alot of traffic noise.
P.Stayed here many times because of the friendly owners, good rates, well laid out rooms and kitchens. Also close to centre of town and lots of great eateries nearby.

S.Visted a friend that stayed their recently nothing flash, price per night a bit steep, windows have no security latches so safety hazzard for those with kids. Could do with a spruce up to make it seem a bit less dull. Could be worse though.

R.Quiet studio rooms to the rear are ideal for travellers passing through the town.
Clean and comfortable.
Nearby Jimmy Jacks restaurant provides a good evening meal option.

a.Well maintained, clean and good 1 or 2 bedroom units. Close to city center and beside McDonald, KFC and many other restaurants. Owner is friendly and reasonable. Although the free wifi was relatively poor and disconnecting frequently, personally I will consider it as my first choice of stay in whangarei for future visits.
