D.As the owner of Stonehaven motel it is very disappointing to read Mr Latchmans review. He was asked at 10.15 am if he would like a late check out for a extra fee. He agreed.
We also accommodated his very late check in. He was obviously unhappy with having to pay extra and this is reflected in his disgruntled review. We comply with all regulations required by local council otherwise we would not be operating. Fortunately I’m sure most people can read into this for what it is. Here at Stonehaven , myself, family and staff do our utmost to ensure all guests enjoy their stay and this is reflected in most of the genuine reviews we receive.

l.Beautiful motel, check-in was so smooth, the owner of the motel was very hospitable, the room we had was so clean, quiet, comfortable & cozy. Had everything we needed. We will definately be staying again.😊

A.Had a slight issue with booking.com due to lack of info however once sorted was an awesome stay room was immaculate bed was comfy best to ring the owner before booking of a first time stayer :)

G.Very pleasant & clean place, Dave was very helpful as we were stranded after an AirBnB we had booked turned out to be fake (apparently, it’s possible).
Has SkyTV and free Wi-fi with a strong signal. Countdown and New World 1 min away, which is also super helpful. The reserve and the river are almost behind the property.
s.Motel owner is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are imaculate and tidy and have everything u need. Would definitely recommend this motel and will be staying here again.
L.It's walking distance to Mt Parahaki (Parihaka), and supermarket. Clean and quiet, as the main traffic uses the 2 other roads instead
M.Nice place, fresh towels and milk everyday, a decent lump of free internet, and packets of tea, coffee, and drinking chocolate. Good service and a lovely place to stay.
T.The friendly person at the reception makes a huge difference in mapping this place a great place to stay in - not to mention its central location, spaciousness and good internet connection.
L.We stayed for 4 nights and felt very welcome. I agree on the toilet not always flushing properly but you can't have everything.

T.(Translated) The motel is ok. Food market is nearby. The hotel is clean. Facilities include stove, microwave, kitchenette. The Wi-Fi left a lot to be desired. If the wireless is not that important you can book the motel with a clear conscience.

Das Motel ist in Ordnung. Lebensmittelmarkt ist in der Nähe. Das Hotel ist sauber. Zur Ausstattung gehören Herd, Microwelle, Küchenzeile. Das WLAN ließ bei uns zu wünschen übrig. Wenn das WLAN nicht so wichtig ist kann man das Motel mit ruhigen Gewissen buchen.
