A.After owning the HRV system for a few years, I can confidently say that I have no regrets going for HRV. Their initial installation was to a professional standard. J.I shopped around and compared prices of home ventilation systems. I had HRV and another supplier visit my home to give me a quote. One other supplier gave me a quote without even visiting the house. I eventually decided on HRV due to the excellent service I received from Chris Yu from East Auckland. He explained the details of the HRV system and he invited me to visit the office to compare the different ventilation systems in the market and it was clear why HRV had the best systems and service so it was an easy decision. I would highly recommend you contact Chris and clarify all your questions and doubts with him. The installation went smoothly and it was done in a few hours. I'm a happy customer.
P.We had a callout to repair an HRV ventilation fan that had stopped working. The electrician showed up and quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired it within 15 min. He also explained the known fault and described how his fix would prevent a re-occurrance.
It's great to have 1st visit resolution of this problem without the drama and this was accomplished within the callout fee.
C.Paul gave professional info regards the HRV filter, compare the quality vs money, impressed with the grade of filter HRV provided that is same as used in hospital. He was patient and answered all my questions.
J.We had our HRV installed a few years ago and been serviced by this company since then. They will carry out the filter change every 2 years to ensure the quality of the air we breathe. When replacing the filters, they will carry out a quick test to ensure that the system is functioning properly. Booking for service is easy and the technician is professional and knowledgeable. Minor issues picked up during the test will be rectified at no extra costs.

P.Great service from Home Synergy/HRV East Auckland. Michael was friendly and professional and was able to answer all our questions and helped choose the correct HRV solution for our home and within our budget.
Installation was booked a few days after original meeting and they called to confirm and turned up on time. Install was completed within an hour and half and everything was cleaned up after! Michael then came by 2 days later for a final check and to answer any questions we had.
Overall we were so impressed with the service we received from Michael and his team and best yet all the condensation had gone within 2 days leaving our home feeling much drier and the air cleaner. Thank you 😊

M.I would without question recommend Home Synergy/HRV East Auckland if you are considering purchasing/installing an air con unit. One of our existing heat pumps failed and after looking for recommendations on whom were reliable companies to use we got referred to Michael Chong. We know why so many other people referred us to him. From quote to install was done in a week. Communication was excellent right the way through, including after install care to make sure everything was to our expectations. The install team came on time, did an excellent job and left the place spotless. Michael made checked everything was done right. I was super impressed. The sales person explained how the HRV system works clearly and concisely. It does exactly what it he said it would do. The installation team finished the job in less than 2 hours too.
The key benefit of the system is the temperature at night is regulated so it isn't overwhelmingly hot in the summer.
C.I just want to thank you and your 2 guys, Brad and Brandon. From first inquiry to installation was a matter of days. They were so professional with the installation and barely an inconvenience.
But most importantly we now have a dry home. No moisture on any of the windows. During winter I used to suction off half a litre in the lounge area alone with the karcher machine.

D.We had an HRV system installed on 8th January 2019. The installation team arrived on time and we were able to easily discuss the locations of the outlets to best suit the situation here. It was immediately obvious that the installers knew their product well and knew how to best install the system. They worked quietly and efficiently and cleaned up each area as they went along. It didn't take long to complete the job. One of the outlets, which was located in the main bedroom, was a little too noisy so after a phone call the team returned the following day to readjust it. Over this very hot summer the HRV system has worked well to keep the air circulating and keep the house temperature to a satisfactory level. After being away from home on holiday for a couple of weeks we distinctly noticed the whole house, which had been closed up, smelled much fresher as we walked in. All in all we are extremely happy to have a Home Synergy HRV system in our home.

B.Should have got it years ago! Just superb at all the promoted advantages. No longer have to go around windows every morning with the Karcher Window Vac. This requirement stopped the day after the HRV system was installed. Excellent helpful sales chap and the installer did our job quickly and efficiently and he was on his own. No mess either. Super quiet. Worth the dollars for our home. As with all modern tech stuff installed for oldies - would have liked a little bit more patient schooling on the control panel. Otherwise brilliant - and we are intending to install a system in our daughter's home for the benefit of the family. '

D.We recently had a fully ducted system installed at our place. I chose HRV based on other recommendations and due to the prompt response from Michael. Additionally the time from initial consultation > quote > install was barely 1 week! The system was installed in a timely manner but unfortunately the system struggled to adequately cool down most of our house due to the fact a large side of our house is directly exposed to the afternoon / evening sun, which was a killer this Jan / Feb. However, Michael and Jeremy (installer) were super proactive about rectifying the issue and after checking the system out they ended up upgrading our system to a larger one with extra vents for no additional cost. I should also mention as part of the initial installation they moved our 1 existing small heatpump to our downstairs rumpus room (as that was the only place that wouldn't be covered by the ducted system) again, at no additional cost.
To anyone considering a ducted system I would consider the fact that they don't provide the same level of power / instant cooling of a traditional heat pump. In order to get the most out of the system you really need to leave it running for longer to maintain the temperature as opposed to blasting it for short periods like you might do with a heatpump. Also if you have any areas that are directly exposed to prolonged sun a traditional heatpump may be better for those areas. The obvious advantage with the ducted system is you don't have a bunch of ugly units sticking out on the wall as they look a lot more sleek being flush in the ceiling. Another bit of advice - add the extra ~$300 for the wifi module which enables you to control it from your phone anywhere as it's a huge advantage!
In summary, Michael's care for customer satisfaction is what really stands out to me. He never made me feel like I was over-reacting or complaining and was always prepared to work through any issues with me. Highly recommend

Is it worth the money? Its expensive for what it is
Would I buy a HRV again? Not sure, even though I like it, I would shop around and see what others can offer.
The thing I hate are all the follow up phonecalls! I get phonecalls about what add one and filter changes my system needs at least 2-3 times a year, eventhough I told the people on the phone many times NOT to call again, it does not stop. Today I had another call. I now change my filters myself with after market products (if they are the same quality, I don't know) but I do not want to have any more to do with HRV and I wish those phonecalls would stop!
V.Been really helpful along the way from Sales meeting to Installation to follow up queries. Easy to get in touch with - always found someone to talk directly too. The Receptionist was helpful and Michael Chong, Managing Director very helpful when we had some queries. Finally a company who gets customer service matters.

A.They were efficient and just got on with the job with no fuss. System appears to work well - I have noticed the condensation is now on the outside of the windows rather than on the inside of the windows. The shower vent also works very well and I like that there is a timer switch so that I don't have to worry about turning the vent off.

They called in advance, arrived on time and were very helpful in explaining the user instructions

L.Heat pump was installed within a week. Very good service and follow up service. Installers were polite, friendly and helpful. I received a phone call to check all was ok with the heat pump on the weekend from the manager.
