E.Second time here and it is perfect! It’s a great stop for us coming from Napier to Auckland. The kids LOVE the play area, spa and pool.
Diann & Tony have been here 40 years this year he tells me and you can feel it. This place has had everything poured into it.
Lovely decorated rooms, comfy beds, great pillows…just a great spot to rest for a night or 5 :)
And only 2 min walk to town where you can get great Coffee and pastries at The Coffee Gallery! 👍🏽🙌🏽💯
A.I paid a small price for one of the older motel units, mine was clean and very spacious and the bed was very comfortable, the room had an AC unit which was great. The unit is old however and the facilities need updating, but I got what I paid for and was happy with it and comfortable.
The outdoor pool was fine, but not heated, so was too cold for me, the gardens were lovely and the play equipment was great. I lived watching the Doves dancing.
H.Absolutely loved this hotel! Rooms were super clean an spacious, The staff were super friendly & helpful! we loved the pool, spa. Play area outside for the children was amazing, so many things to play with!
D.I found this motel very clean tidy. If I could give half stars I would . So it would b 4 1/2 stars lost half a star because one of the pillows didn't have a pillowcase on it. Other than that the room was very comfortable, it is also close to town and takeaway places. I'll definitely be back when I am coming through Matamata.
A.The owners were so good to deal with and we would always stay with them again if in the area. No worries either if you are towing a trailer. So well set up for everyone and so clean and modern. Thank you.

E.Lovely room, very spacious, and some good details, eg useful kitchen utensils, card games and bath robes. Huge kids' playground with heaps of outdoor toys. We didn't use the spa or pool although they looked inviting. Lovely flowers in the garden, and friendly owner. One small improvement would become make sure there is a bedside table on both sides of the king bed, and to organize plug access for phone charging near the bed.
D.One of the most impressive motels. Very clean and well maintained. Suitable for family especially having little kids. Our family enjoyed the spa and swimming pool as well. I really recommend this motel.

L.Very clean and tidy. Beds comfortable. Was very rainy cold day when we arrived. Room soon heated up by heatpump.Staff lovely and friendly. Was very close too the venue we were going to so very handy. Would certainly stay again if we come to Matamata.

P.Outside looks a bit dated, but nice refitted bathroom, tidy unit. All the usual facilities, even fluffy dressing gowns. Great kids play area on grass.

A.Very nice clean and comfortable room, we checked in late and the guy was very helpful showing us the room before we committed to it. He came across very proud to own his motel and so he should.
Only a couple of minutes walk to get food so we found this very convenient.
D.Although this is an older property, it has been beautifully renovated. Our room was bright and attractive - gave a very good impression when first walking in! Our unit was well equipped with conveniences, and was very comfortable.
Although we did not have children with us, we noticed some excellent facilities for kids, including a play area and toys. There is a small grocery store immediately next door, for any needs.
Definitely go again!
E.Very nice room, full kitchen, robes available for use in the room, large shower, and climate controlled environment (not that it was necessary - the weather was great so we could open the windows)! Just a few minutes down the road from Hobbiton, the place was excellent to sleep the night before and get a jump on touring the next day. Definitely recommend it!
N.Wonderful motel, super clean (which I enjoy most about hotels to be fair) and close by to the city centre with restaurants and shops. Management was great, the room spacious and the beds comfy. I like them slightly firmer, but these were absolutely fine to sleep in!
S.Walking distance to the i-Site with a great playground. We stayed there with kids and they loved it. Plus, we were able to easily walk to the Hobbiton Bus so we didn't have to drive at all after getting drinks in the Shire.

J.We had a lovely stay here for one night, it's conveniently close to the i-visitor centre for the Hobbit Studio tour. Plenty of cafés, takeaways and eating places within walking distance and there's also a large supermarket nearby and even s McDonald's if you really fancied it. The management were really nice and allowed us to leave our car parked there when we went for a day tour.
P.Top motel. Best we have ever stayed at in new Zealand. Super nice villa unit. Top quality decor. Cant fault it. Very friendly owners. Relaxing atmosphere . Thankyou. We will be back.

A.Nice motel to stay, convenient location, big pleasant backyard for kids to play. Only small thing is the swimming pool is too deep and cold otherwise all good.

C.Recently Jan/Feb 2022, I had the pleasure of staying as a guest at Broadway Motel, Matamata. Motelliers Diane and Tony Voyce . After I was made welcome, shown to my self contained unit, I was pleased to see it was Clean, modern, comfortable, everything found, and upmarket. plus beautiful patio flowers outside. I felt at home. Diane and Tony Run this Motel professionally, friendly and respectful as were their staff. I am home now, taken me a while to settle down again. Thanks Diane and Tony, I may book in again around Xmas..Regards Clair ..
