T.Lovely motel with lovely staff. A very tidy and comfortable unit with great facilities on offer for paying guests. You may like to look at your visitors policy however. Another unit had 3 cars of visitors which took up the parking intended for the people staying and these visitors were also using the facilities intended for paying guests. The noise from these guests and "choice" language from the youngsters also was not courteous towards others staying there which may have been addressed by the management. We will stay again if we could be assured that our stay wouldn't be the same as last time.
F.Very clean, great units, definitely be back. Great owners, easy to book. Brilliant outdoor pool - a must on a hot Hawkes Bay day.
k.The best motel I have stayed in in N.Z in a long time, when attending Block Course at EIT. Phone reception when I booked was awesome , very helpful & friendly. Front of house staff (same person I think ) was also so friendly. Rooms are sound proof, Private & immaculate and cleaned daily . Just couldn't fault this motel !Fully recommend- Well done team - thanks for a great stay !
S.I often stay at motels and Asure Colonial Lodge has got to be one of the best that I have stayed at. Clean room, wonderful service and fantastic staff. Will definitely be my stop over whenever I pass through.
L.While this is an older property the renovations to update the rooms have been well done. The size of the bedroom was a bit small for us, but there was a generous sized bed. Location was good for our needs, but being in a front room near the road was a bit noisy for us - being used to the country

A.Booked in at short notice (funeral) only stayed 1 night. Very friendly approachable folk. Arranged a late checkout, no problem at all. Very comfortable unit conveniently located, free WiFi and parking. Have stayed here before and will do so again.

J.Mark and the team at Colonial Lodge are absolute salt of the earth people. We found ourselves in a bind after breaking down in Taradale and not only did Mark put us up in their clean, well appointed apartment at the Lodge (fully stocked kitchen facilities, lovely bathroom luxuries, extremely comfortable bed with fabulous pillows) he called his mechanic, who agreed to fix our car on Boxing Day! Then, despite the Motel being fully booked (understandable on the busiest day of the year), Mark put us up in some additional accommodation that he had available, putting extra effort in (going out to buy a fridge etc) to get it beautifully ready for us to stay. We can’t recommend this Motel more, not just because the rooms and facilities are amazing but you won’t find nicer people to deal with.
D.Very clean, nice and quiet, good facilities!
Only one issue for me, and it was the whole reason we booked, was the bed! It was a queen, so nice and big but it sank in the middle. My partner and I just kept rolling into the middle all night. Such a shame as everything else is spot on.
L.Handy location, easy to find. Safe parking. The room was immaculate and comfy. The amenities available were plentiful; bbq tables, bbqs, pool, spa and more. Very welcoming hosts. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. We’ll definitely be going back next visit to Napier!!
P.Great place, big rooms, clean and tidy, TV in every bedroom. Good games room, BBQ area, spa and outdoor pool, laundry and close to shops. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend the motel and will stay here again.
P.We just had two nights and loved it. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff! Great facilities with the games room, swimming pool etc. Perfect for families. 5 minute walk to Taradale shops for the essential coffee! Recommend Source Cafe.

J.Nice place with friendly staff, nicely decorated and modern. Decent wifi internet with 25mbit up/50mbit down when we were there. Shower was quite short if you are 6ft or above. Passable tvs in every room.

N.Nice setup with quite rooms. Individual heat pumps make it easy to get the perfect room temperature for a good night's sleep, something that is missing in many other places. Would stay again anytime.

V.Awesome accomodation for travelers with children. There are spacious rooms with all nesessary equipment and amenities, a kitchenet. There is a game room on the territory of the lodge with a table tennis, aero hockey and a pool table. There is also a trampoline and a spa bath. We enjoyed the stay there.
P.Great setup for families, with pool, spa and great games room including table air hockey pool, ping pong and a Play Station.
Rooms are basic but renovated. Really good experience here. Rate for families.
B.Lovely place to stay. Very friendly helpful staff and great amenities for the kids made our stay all the more enjoyable. I had some work to do and could do it happily do it on my laptop using the free wifi whilst the kids had fun in the games room - win win.
