T. S.Professional staff. Room was lovely, sea view, spa, separate loo, reasonable size. Seemed clean. As it's over the cafe below, there was a bit of noise on Sat am but not a biggie - the sounds of life. Handy to a good selection of eateries. Too much of a swell to swim at the beach.
T. D.The Crown Hotel is a diamond in the rough! Had never been to the Hawks Bay and staying in the crown hotel was the cherry on top! Had booked a room with a view over the harbour, clean and spacious room with a balcony with a table and two chairs. Bathroom was nice and clean and a sperate room dedicated to the toilet. Was close to the beach and plenty of onsite parking. Close to local amenities and not right in the Hawks Bay town which to me is a plus, the cafe within the same building (can't remember the name) was great, awesome food and it came out QUICKLY! If you're in the Hawks Bay and looking for somewhere to stay you can't go past the Crown Hotel.
A. &. J. S.Stayed here for a weekend away from Wellington. Excellent location. Clean, comfortable rooms. Our bed was past its use by date but other than that, we'll stay again.

D. W.The hotel is lovely and well kept. However the jewel in the Crown are the staff. Probably the most helpful, welcoming can't do enough for you staff I have ever experienced. I have stayed in far more expensive hotels and never recieved the level of service we experienced at the Crown. The rooms are great and spacious modern and clean. There is also a bar which was great as we were there on good Friday. Massive well done guys 👍
T. K.Very accomodating and warm staff which we felt on arrival in the reception and their assistants .around the hotel. Comfortable bed. Nice view and room. Very convenient to shops and restaurants. Great location for an early run or any exercise .. Will definitely stay here again in the future. We’ve tried other places before but this is the best in that area👍👍👍 by a long way...

A. F.We were very impressed with The Crown Hotel, all round. The reception team were amazingly kind - we stayed there for the night of our brother’s funeral and as we had to travel quite a distance, we called ahead the day before and asked if we could please have an early check-in....nothing was too much trouble, they were full the night before but made sure that our room was the first to be serviced when the guests checked-out which meant we were able to check-in before the funeral and that of course, meant we didn’t have to travel in the clothes we wanted to wear to the funeral. We were very impressed with everything about the Hotel, the staff, the rooms, the location (the funeral was at East pier so it couldn’t have been better), the food (we dined in the restaurant)....all-in-all a well-deserved 5 stars from us - we will be back!! Highly recommend.

C. S.I stayed for 2 nights recently and couldn’t fault the hotel. We asked to change from a twin room to one bedroom when checking in and although they were quite full they were able to accommodate us. Nothing was a problem and the staff were very helpful. The room was well stocked, very clean and there was plenty of free parking.
Also there’s plenty of eating places right on their doorstep.

E. D.Beautiful hotel in a nice location beside the sea. While it's not central, it's still got plenty of amenities near by and is a short drive from the centre of Napier. We stayed in a 2 bed suite. The suite was a good size with a compact, but functional kitchen/dining/living area. The Bedrooms were both a good size with comfortable beds. The suite had a balcony the length of the suite. Overall the room was clean, modern and spacious. Staff were helpful and there's underground parking.
R. Y.Well located hotel that worked well for our group which included two elderly people who stayed in mobility access rooms. The spacious rooms could be improved further with better lighting and cabinetry.

L. S.Clean, quiet, spacious. Sea views and a discount at the movie theater next door. Awesome restaurants close by as well. It's about a 4 km walk into Napier city centre. They also have bikes to hire.
T.Great to be able to walk ***** beach a beautiful setting. New condition and spotless. We had a breakfast and a dinner at Milk and Honey Service was great in the morning. A lot of places include it in the room price and I will be favouring those from now on.
T. D.Went here to sit an exam. Exam room was spacious and tables were covered in Ironed white table cloths. Staff in main entrance we're friendly guiding us to the exam room seems like a really luxurious place to stay. Room wasn't too hot or too cold. Felt relaxing.
P. N.The room was lovely, checking in was an issue not having a credit card, so had to pay a bond. Shame you get penalised for choosing to only have a debit card. But again the room was great and would stay again

T.We found the Crown Hotel a very well appointed place to stay on our short visit to Napier. Suite was very clean and tidy. We instantly felt relaxed and quickly unpacked to savour the view with a drinking the balcony. The staff were all polite and helpful. Excellent service at check in.

The rooms are very nice, with a well laid out bathroom and convenient temperature controls. They could use a better closet space, but that seems to be a characteristic of local hotels.

T.We overlooked the water and had a lovely room on the 4th floor. Hotel is attached to a good restaurant (Honey and Milk) and a quirky little cinema. I would certainly recommend this as a place to stay and am proud that my home town has such a stunning hotel to spoil our visitors.
S. P.We just stopped here for one night, but would have been happier to stay longer. Excellent hotel, very comfortable rooms, with a good cafe and also arrangements with other places nearby to charge to our room. Neat! We had a room with a balcony overlooking the beach - quite idealic.
T.Service was excellent from all staff that I dealt with by phone and checking in and checking out. Very friendly helpful staff. Th floor apartment suite overlooking the bay with a lovely balcony. Napier is a very interesting place to visit with all the art deco architecture, including the old part of the Crown.
T.We really enjoyed staying here as the position is fantastic overlooking hawkes bay. We enjoyed a wine on the patio overlooking the sea. On top of being pleasantly surprised we arrived to a bottle of bubbly on ice with champagne glasses …
T.We were given a good description of the hotel layout. The ***ager who checked me in was very polite and wished us well for the day. We enjoyed the services of an established hotel with the added advantage of self catering facilities. I would highly reccomend The Crown if you are visiting Napier.
D. R.At this venue for a course. Difficult to find parking on site - use the public car park(free) across the road. Conference room L shaped with pillar in the middle. Will be getting there early today to get a better seat. Good food and plenty of it. Clean restrooms. It's ok
J. P.Very convenient location. Beach, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. Rooms are very spacious, well laid out most of all clean. There's also a fitness center and theater that can be used.

T.I thought the location was great. We stayed on a Sunday night in mid May and although the nearby area has a shopping precinct not much else was open. Clean and tidy as pictured. I guess the rate could of been a little lower for the area. Can recommend it any time.

T.I had a quick stay for a weekend in Hawkes Bay and found the Crown Hotel to be great. Michal, averil and the team at crown are good. Nice balcony with outlook and glimpse of the sea. Worth hiring bikes through the hotel to explore Napier, the coast and vineyards.
G. Y.Arrived at the hotel on a wet day. The carpark is located up a slope, away from the hotel entrance, with no shelter. We had to lug our bags in the rain to the lobby for check in. There are also no elevators, and we had to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs to our room. Not ideal.....
P. J.Great room, but desk staff very off hand, not particularly welcoming or caring.
T.They offer rentals for bikes (there is a nice stream/walk way next to the hostel), e-cigs and wifi hotspots. It full of home feel and it was just like my house at Seoul. The staff is very friendly and they take time to tell about Seoul and how to get to different locations.

The hotel does not have breakfast and the reception closes at 22.00. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Recommended for those who want to get down here
