I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I managed to get a very last minute reservation here in the peak season, as I was too tired to continue driving to my intended destination. This was the cheapest place around so I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The lady at the front desk was lovely, the room was very clean and tidy. The bathroom was a decent size with a huge shower. The TV had lots of channels and the bed was very comfortable. You couldn’t ask for a better location either. Directly across the road from the lake and within walking distance of all the central Taupō eateries and shops. Incredible value for money. A wonderful place to stay. Thank you.

Excellent location and beautifully appointed rooms. We have stayed in room 11 (lake view) twice now and love it. The room is very big and comfortable, with a modern and clean bathroom, comfortable bed and multiple seating options. We love the well stocked kitchen in the room.

Excellent value for money - rooms are a good size, they were clean, well laid out and had everything you need. Bed was firm but still comfortable - we have a soft bed at home but slept okay.Helpful friendly staff. Excellent location- handy walking distance to town and lake, but no traffic noise. Secure off street parking. We would stay here again.

Stayed here sadly only one night due to time constraints. 18 Jan 2023. Fantastic lake front position, beautiful apartment. Complex was very clean and well presented. Car park was great. Customer service and Reception were helpful and approachable. Would definitely stay here again. We were a family of 6 adults and a baby of six months.

I take a lot of store by these reviews and I have to say this is a genuine 10/10. For the price point- you are getting exactly what you see on the website. You won’t be disappointed. Dave was great arranging the reservation, while the paperwork was already for me to sign off on arrival. Love the king size bed, while walk in shower is brilliant. Kitchen is good, but honestly the location is 150m from a huge range of restaurants. Right across the road from the Lake- we’ll definitely be back.

Excellent place to stay, the room was spacious and it had a bath tub with jets! The beds were perfectly soft yet firm which after staying in a few places is surprisingly important. Staff were friendly. Great value for money accommodation!

If I was to come back to Taupo I wouldn't book anywhere else. When we arrived Christine greeted us and told us everything we needed to know she was so lovely! She even let us know that she'd upgraded our room to one with a spa bath which was a delight as we'd just done the Tongariro crossing that day. Christine was more then happy to answer any questions and was more then happy to tell me where I could get a good bottle of wine and a short cut to get there to unwind that evening. The motel is located just opposite the Taupo hole in one challenge and Love Taupo sign so is within walking distance of the town. When we checked out David was super happy and helpful asking how our stay was and wishing us the best for the rest of our travels.

Great location. Clean. Rock hard bed. Thank god we only stayed 2 nights because I can still feel the bruising. Had to ask how to use the kitchen equipment and the TV and didn't appreciate the intrusion from he owner to get things working (I'm a qualified electrician). A better outcome would have been to make the room more user friendly and have instructions, not enter the room after people have moved in. Clearly I value my privacy. This may not be an issue to others, but it was to me.

Fantastic location. Very friendly welcome when we arrived. We were in room 11 which had a panoramic view of the lake. The room was large . Lovely comfy bed. Excellent shower which is important to us, and very good quality amenities. We will definitely go back for longer. High recommend

Had a really good experience at Acacia Lake View Motel. The rooms are clean and comfy. They have everything you need. Extremely close to everything you need. Literal 10 minute walk to the main street for restaurants, shopping etc. The staff were lovely. We checked in late but the staff were super accommodating. Really happy and easy to check in with. Working in accommodation myself, it is refreshing to be on the other side of good service and receiving it. Highly recommend.

What a gem! My bestie and I booked the double room with lake view, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The staff generously sorted an early check-in time for us, and we had an incredible view of the activities on the lakefront from the extensive balcony. Highly recommend!

Recommend. Value for money. We paid $320 for 2 bedroom unit with a view to the lake. Just stayed 1 night, as we were only passing through. The unit wasn't big, but it was really lovely. Just the little details made it feel cosy and welcoming. Had everything we needed and more, nice sized kitchen too. Close to the city centre. Perfect, thank you.

We had a room in the Lake Wing, upstairs #6. It was at the end by the stairs. No lake view from the room, but was one from the seating area outside. We were impressed by the modern aesthetic and the extreme cleanliness. Bed was very comfortable resulting in a great nights sleep. We stayed one night, to break up our trip from Auckland to Whanganui, and loved it so much, we’ve booked for another night on our return journey. Thoroughly recommend!!

The room was modern, clean and the bathroom big. The shower was amazing. Very accommodating owners. We had a large family group stay along with our 93 year old father/grandfather and everybody and their specific needs were met with understanding and kindness. Would highly recommend.

A great motel to stop in for a night in Taupo. Only downside was there was some construction going on which made getting in and out a bit awkward and you will definitely not want to have a lowered car! I’m sure that was only for a little while and hopefully done by peak summer!

Fantastic location right in front of Lake Taupo and ＜5 min drive from nearby eateries and supermarket. Apartment has everything you need except for pots / pans (despite the kitchenette having an electric stove top) and the room took quite awhile to warm up.

Even though it was just the two of us we booked the last available unit which was a two bedroom simply because the price was better than the other motels were offering for a single room. Lovely place, warm and clean, good shower pressure, great location just a short work in to town. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful and gave us an excellent price for an extra night when the roads were closed. The only problem we had was not enough powerpoints in the living area.

We stayed in the king suite and everything was exactly how it was described online. Overall, the suite was very clean and modern and we did not face any issues throughout our stay. Great little place. Room was spacious and clean. Had our 7mo son with us and we were treated great. Affordable and fair pricing. Shower and bath were absolutely awesome. Would happily stay again. Good location too, very short walk into town.

The only reason this is a 4 star rating is that there were a couple of hairs in the bathroom sink. Putting that aside this is a 5 star place and by far the best in its price range. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms modern, spacious and tastefully furnished, and the bathroom large and modern. It also has a great location along the lakefront and is probably the closest to town with a selection of great restaurants less than a 3 minute walk away.

As a family of 5 we sometimes struggle to fit us all in. But we have the most beautiful room with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a stunning lake view. The room had the heating on when we arrived and it was so beautifully decorated, modern and comfortable. Would reccomend this place to anyone. Also so close to town.

I would highly recommend this motel. Genuinely friendly people. Modern minimal decor. The apartment had everything you need. We really enjoyed the ground level for the orivate courtyard. We were staying in an apartment fitted for a person with physical disabilities. This made my stay a real pleasure. I plan to go there again.

Overt clean and comfy place to spend the night, right at the lakefront. Local Tv channels for entertainment and decent cutlery available to have take away. My only gripe was a bit of struggle getting the air conditioner to work properly. Lots of cafes and restaurants at walking distance as it is right at the heart of the town.
