Hot chocolate is great here, it’s thick but not as viscous as the one from Mrs Ferg and also slightly less sweet. You’ll like it - as I do - if you don’t have much of a sweet tooth. Desserts are all really good, I’ve tried many over different times - waffles, crepes, brownies, creme brûlée, Afghans. I love the orange coconut cake (vegan). Also their chocolate products are high quality and make great gifts. Cremino ice cream is pretty awesome if you like hazelnut - it gives Mrs Ferg’s hazelnut gelato a run for their money in my opinion. Customer service is prompt , and if not it’s clearly because they are busy with different groups of customers, not at all because they are inattentive 😄

Ice cream was amazing but service was pretty lousy. I'm pretty sure the talking public toilets were better at communication than the staff member that served us. There was also a major difference between ice cream sizes despite myself and my friend ordering the same thing. If a staff member is unable to do basic customer service such as talking to their customers then they should assume a separate job.

It's a good chocolate shop. However, I didn't like the service, I asked lady in the counter to tell me if the ice cream is suitable for vegetarians. Staff had no clue, they handed over me their ingredients book, and some of those ingredients was even hard to identify like emulsifier and stabisers.

A famous place for ice cream. I had a biscotti which is very good. While we ordered a banana ice cream which is not my family’s favorite, and will try different flavor next time.

I absolutely love their hot chocolate here. You can even observe how they brew it. Sweet little creamy drink (ok it’s quite a large portion). The ice cream here is so delicious too. I tried the Mascarpone cheese since I noticed the many awards it got and no regrets it’s just so tasty. Not really a fan of sour things but it still tastes awesome. The other flavour I tried with my friends was something chocolate (like duh). It’s really rich :D

Great selection of ice cream and chocolate desserts. Lovely staff. Arrowtown is so cute and filled with quaint buildings. This is in a nice, old building, restored beautifully. Good coffee too. Relaxed atmosphere.

Came on recommendation by a friend but said friend recommended the Queenstown shop. Arrowtown one coffee wasn’t made that well. Ice creams and sobet are nice but not fantastic. Have wifi on request but if you came as a group you have to ask for lots of wifi slips for passwords

Went out of our way to come here because I was told they had the best hot chocolate in New Zealand, it was amazing, there treats are good to but expensive, we didn't try the ice cream but alot of people did while we were there & seemed happy with them, defiantly stop in for a cuppa if your in the area

Patagonia ice cream no matter where you try it is EPIC! My favourite ice cream is a tie between cookies and cream and Dark chocolate with Macadamia. Not an ice cream try an Alfojor.... everything tastes amazing!

Super good desserts and chocolate always! However had a bit of issues ordering an iced mocha today, they were adamant it wasn’t possible even though they have chocolate drizzle, surely they could just stir it into a coffee on ice? I asked if they could drizzle it on top and they said no to that too. I’m just not sure why.... The only way was forcing me to have ice cream and cream. I don’t know why they couldn’t be left out. Overall just a frustrating experience and put a little damper on a tired afternoon. ☹️

One of the best and richest dark chocolate hot chocolates I've had, served with a warm shortbread cookie. The chai latte was pretty good too. We also got two scoops of creamy ice cream, which was more than enough to feed four of us.

Hazelnut Gelato with chocolate Ganache was amazing, well balanced and flavourful, the scoop was generous the cone finished with ganashe in the base. Brilliant!

Only tried the ice cream and a few chocolates. One scoop is more than enough (even though it does look like they have reduced scoop size). Even my mother who loves ice cream was defeated by two scoops! The frozen yoghurt options are good for a summer day and no matter how big the queue looks, they will be serving you quick as a flash!

I'm a chocoholic and a general sweet tooth all over. Patagonia caters for that need easily. I had their degustation platter that was on offer at my last visit....and although maybe a bit pricey it gives you a sample of all on offer....Really though....you can't go past their gelato....the choc is rich (possibly too rich for most)and super smooth....yet totally morish as well. The pace in the store can be a little frantic at times...and the staff do their best to attend to everyone...you may need to be a little patient from time to time as they clear a backlog of customers and tasters.... Oh..and that degustation....filled my chocolate crave to overload point!
