Was recommended the chips here, but was a bit disappointed. They appeared to be frozen chips as they were crinkle cut. They weren’t bad, but we’re not amazing either. The house-made aioli was very good however! The value here is really great as well. Everything is priced very reasonably. The store was run by a kind woman and what I presume to be her son, so was definitely happy to support this place. There’s a cool bridge you can walk across that is close by as well. Definitely worth stopping for lunch if you’re in Whananaki!

A great place for an ice-cream if you're passing on a hot day. Whananaki is a pretty place and the winding road is a lovely drive with the roof down on your cabriolet.

I went there with my colleague who had an amazing experience with fish and chips here. I was disappointed and so does he! He said it's not what he had before. The fish was a bit raw and chips were ok. May be it's just us who didn't had an amazing experience. Still plenty of other food options to try for.

Whananaki Beach Store is VERY HANDY!!! Every year, I stay in a campground near by and it is just amazing having this awesome store near by. They have a large range of delicious meals, for breakfast, lunch and dinner and they sell nearly everything in the store. There are also lots of seats and lots of parking space. Over all, this store is my favourite store in Whananaki!

Love this place. Such a good holiday vibe about it. Well stocked shop and NZ post.ooen 7 days a week until 8pm. Cafe serves very tasty and reasonable priced food. Giant burger or sandwich $8. Staff really lovely and happy. The only thing it needs us scoop Ice cream!

The lady in there friendly it's a little store so not much space in there but enough to walk around in a single line, has quiet a lot to offer, takeaways take a little while to cook but that was only because it was busy & they had only 1 worker but we didn't mind looking around, nice private outdoor area also a deck area to eat, the locals were friendly too
