Amazing ice cream, brilliant choice of flavours and large serving. Don't queue around the corner, come to this place. Also Diary free option available, I had the strawberry which was lovely lovely and it had real frozen 🍓, brilliant!

Very nice flavours of gelato to suit all tastes. I got a lemon flavoured one and then a berry one. I’ve also tried the mocha and hokey pokey and they were all delicious!

I was pretty disappointed. Prices are expensive ($ 9 for 3 flavors) but they are good portions and the staff is friendly. The perfumes are very classic, nothing original. I ordered the flavors of white chocolate, coconut and snickers. The last two were good but not exceptional. By cons, my ice cream to white chocolate had a very strong mint flavor and I hate it! I wonder if the bins have not been reversed ...

There is a fair selection of both sorbet and gelato flavours which was nice - cool how they had some interesting flavours too (as you would expect). However the service was meh - the young girl who served us yesterday didn't look like she wanted to be there. Disappointing service but at least the gelato was good.

Monte Gelato is a must visit if you are at the mount, doesn’t matter if it’s a hot summers day or a cold winter morning, they have something for everyone!

Great gelato. We had Cappuccino and Chocolate velvet on one cone and then mango and lemon curd on another. Wife said the lemon curd was the best and I liked all of them. Obviously demolished them and didn’t even think of taking photos. Staff were nice despite some people taking too much time trying out different flavours.

The dairy free chocolate was good. It’s the only vegan option available. $6 one scoop, $8 two scoops. The lime gelato was tart and crisp. A notch above standard. They have coffee machine there as well.

Ice cream it is ok actually, but the old lady attending the counter would need to be taught some manners on how to talk to customers. She even drop ice cream on the till, abd did not apologize or offer a swap. Wont come again.

Staff is very friendly with a lovely smile. We tried mango, strawberry, wildberry and coffee flavors. Coffee flavor is the the best!

A frequent visitor from Rotorua however first visit since revamp or ownership change. I ordered two scoops, caramel & butterscotch for $8, thinking fairly expensive. Caramel was nice however thought the butterscotch was pretty plain, not a strong flavour at all pretty disappointed. Service is great with a friendly smile. Delicious gelato at this place, definitely recommend the gelato over the sorbet. Also worth asking to try the gelatos before you pick your flavours. The sesame seed one sounds interesting and it was actually delicious - recommend giving it a go!

For me this is one of the best ice cream parlours is NZ! Great taste and generous portions. Slightly changing menue, but don't be afraid to try a new tastw you cannot go wrong!

I love the ice cream and the flavours there. Also that they have open after 6pm at the weekend. I have been there few times... you can choose between flavours 1,2 or 3. I had few times two, but then i realised that i got sometimes more, sometimes less and also you habe to finish your ice cream faster than fast, why you dont have different sizes of cones? It drops and drops after 10 sekunds. So i took just one flavour last day. But thats more than overpriced. One flavour cost you 7.20$ and you got two scoops. If you order two flavour you got 4 scoops for 9$ (1,80$ difference for two more scoops?) I will try the ice around the corner

It is the simple the best Ice-cream of all New Zealand, l been travel for so many places around New Zealand and l never see or savor another ice-cream like theirs , Thank you so much for the services and to have a incredible place so close by of my house , l totally recommended and suggest you to try Tiramisu 😋😋😋 , for me is the one THE BEST 👍

Sunday desert... Happy After a Sunday lunch close by we desided to get some desert and i voted for some good quality ice-cream. Again I was not disappointed with the quality of ice-cream served and everyone agreed. Very good quality shop.

I forced Father to buy us icecream after climbing up Mt. (torture) Maunganui. It was $5.50 for a single scoop but the lady who served us gave us a substantial amount of icecream when she served us! It was practically TWO scoops! Plus their icecream is REALLY good
