My brother in law recommended to us to try their Delicious vegan ice-creams. One observation, Many times we walk by without realising there was a coffee shop/ ice cream place there. Maybe a portable banner/ flag with an ice cream and waffles design would help draw more attention. Just a thought.

So tasty!! We had the chocolate & almond shake and the pecan, caramel and choc ice cream sandwich! The waffle cones are made in store and smell amazing!!!

Everything gluten free and can't even find any difference that it's all plant based. "this is the best ice cream shop in the whole world!!" Mr 8 year old.

Gosh it was so good. I tried the matcha vanilla cooconut and the golden chai coconut. Like someone else said, it should have a flag so people don't miss it when they pass by. You don't want to miss the opportunity to discover those ice creams!

Absolutely the best! Newly opened at the heart of Mt Mounganui, Sea People is a perfect addition to the foodie centre of Tauranga. Unmatched selection of plant based gluten free ice cream, with refined sugar free options. I have never seen flavours like these before, blueberry pie, tongan vanilla, black doris plum brownie, i could go on, you don't see these choices every day, especially when it comes to vegan deserts The staff are super friendly and helpful (i had a choice paralysis when i saw the selection), and the owner Mariah is the mastermind behind the flavours I'll never stop raving about small local businesses that are this awesome, go get some ice cream, their opening hours are notable too 🎉🎉😍🥰🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

Stunning selection. All taste so amazing. Yiu really wouldn't know it wasn't dairy. Healthy option. Wonderful staff and ethics of this company is fantastic 👏

Sea People and their ice cream are amazing! The store is beautifully designed and the staff are so lovely. I love their eco-conscious ethos and incorporation of Te Ao Māori. I've found that sometimes vegan ice cream can be overly coconut-ty which can be a let down, however, Sea People's is so creamy that you wouldn't guess that it was dairy free! They offer seasonal flavours as well as staples that keep each visit exciting. The vanilla waffle cones are delicious and by far the best I've ever had – highly recommend! They also offer gift vouchers which make for a great birthday gift for a summer treat or dessert after dinner.

If you love ice cream but can't tolerate dairy, well look no further than Sea People Ice cream at Mt Maunganui, next to Harcourts. Fabulous choice of flavours including GF and Refined Sugar Free. I had Pecan Apple Crumble and it was sooo delish!! Eat your ice cream out of a cup or pay $1.50extra for a very yummy home made Waffle cone!! Definitely worth a revisit😊😋
