Excellent place for the entire family. This was our second visit here, our first with our two year old. Although she was a little hesitant about some of the animals she loved being able to say hello to them all. It was a fun experience had by all. Feeding the animals was well worth the extra few dollars.

Our kids absolutely love this place and all the beautiful animals, the hosts are lovely people and so welcoming. Lots of shadey spots available to enjoy a picnic and event better now they have ice cream and coffee cart on location. As locals we visit regularly and will continue do to so.

Awesome petting zoo. Super Friendly owners. lots of lovely natural shade. Lots of ride on toys, awesome handmade playhouses, swings, huts and delicious real fruit icecreams. Also an amazing range of animals. Highly recommend for families especially for children under 10years.

Super friendly animals. I thought a rather high cost looking at what was there. Could be maintained a bit better. My son wanted to play on the toys more than look at and feed the animals.. but we did spend a decent amount of time there wandering around.

Great place for young children, it takes about an hour to go through all animals. Has a petting area indoor with rabbits and genepigs. Slightly pricy $16 per adult, $8 for kids, babies are free, feeding basket $3 each. Super helpful and friendly staff.

Lilliput was a blast. A little ginger pig followed us most of the way around. All of the animals are friendly, some very friendly. And there's good info sheets on most of them. Some enclosures were empty, and a deer and llama got switched up and we couldn't find the info sheet for the deer, but we had so much fun.

Farm with friendly animals to feed and pat through the fences. There's a play area - the big (open) trampoline was fun and there's lots of trikes for toddlers. Deer and llama were my favourite (avoid the llama sneezes!) Recommend: - Buy a couple scoops of feed. - Bring a picnic for after (no food sold on premise currently). - Gum boots (for if it's a bit wet out.) - Front pack or a good stroller. It's not a very smooth path at some points and there are some small hills.

Our kids had a blast. All the animals were super friendly and the kids adored cuddling the guinea pigs at the end. Had to drag them back to the car. The staff member on was very accommodating especially since we arrived as he had just packed up to close. Thank you so much for reopening for us, much appreciated!

Great for all ages! The owner is really friendly and clearly very knowledgable on her animals - it's awesome to see. The animals are also super friendly...the highlight was most definitely Eddie the donkey ❤️We also came at the perfect time as we were able to see the 2-day-old baby piglets! Would definitely recommend to make sure you visit when in Taupo.

Our wee granddaughter had a lovely morning thinking she was a "big kid" feeding the animals. All the animals were very gentle, and lots of activities for slightly older kids as well. The park is lovely and peaceful and very welcoming. We noticed all the children and parents thoroughly enjoying themselves. Spot on Bev!

Kids loved this place, cheap to get in and after you walk around and feed the animals, take a picnic on a nice day and enjoy the picnic area / play ground for the kids... a must do if you have young kids in Taupo.

Kids had a blast very rustic. The proprietor was friendly and made the kids experience worthwhile assisting feeding the animals in their pens. A few hardcase contraptions for the kids to look at and querry. Not for the hobnobs but great for the outgoing type. Highly recommended

Very friendly staff, Great variety of animals, Our daughter loved feeding and petting the animals and then playing on the slide and trampoline amongst the well shaded trees afterwards. Awesome place to run the kids and get some fresh air, Highly recommend for a relaxed and comfortable place to spend a good couple of hours with the family.

What a hidden little gem:0) Great place for kids to stretch their legs and break up a trip. Hand feeding alpacas, donkey, pigs, horses as well as up close and personal to some other little friends. A lot of work has, and still is, being done ti make this place really magical.

Went to Lilliput farm 10 years ago suggested it to our daycare and we end up going on a day trip there, everyone enjoyed it, loved the animals and parks around the site and said they would love to go back, full on animals the career there was more welcome and even helped us out with getting to know who her. I think this would be a beautiful contribution to the community recommended to all children to go and visit this place you will love it.

So many different types of animals for young children to feed and pat and hold. May as well list them... Alpacas llamas donkeys ponies rabbits guinea pigs ducks geese chickens pigs piglets frilled dragon things cockatoo emu and more I may have missed. Buckets of food supplied. Lovely picnic areas and play areas.

Great place for kids, tons of farm animals - they definitely know to expect feeding so can be a little pushy which can be scary for littlies! It's not a super polished flash place by any means but the animals look healthy and it has an old school feel with all the hand made things for kids to climb on. Suggest gumboots if there has been a bit of rain.

It's been a little while since we last visited as things had been going downhill and the kids were even getting disappointed. But today was a pleasant surprise, new owners took over late last year and they are building the place up piece by piece again. Website has been updated and much easier to navigate for info. The animals looked happy, the pens are being tidied up, Thomas the Tank engine and his mate have had a fresh coat of paint and are looking bright and shiny. Our young boys loved it, it's one of our favourite spots to take our boys again for a fun morning out and finish off with a picnic in the big park filled with swings, ride on wheels for the littlies, Snoopys plane, the Wendy house and the lovely big tramp that's been updated and much bigger. (Plenty of tables for lots of families to enjoy the space apart or together. Looking forward to our next visit to see even more upgrades. 😁

Lots of different varieties of animals to see and feed. There is also lots of play equipment to explore and interact with. Great fun for the kids. A visit to the farm is very informative too, with interesting information boards scattered around the farm. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The venue is reasonably priced, especially given the amount of time that everyone is entertained for. It's a bit of a journey from Taupo, but it is well worth it. Highly recommended!!

Our three young kids loved this petting farm. We visited on holiday and loved it so much we made a special stop there again on the way home. The staff are lovely. There are heaps of animals to feed and things to play on. The highlight was the dancing cockatoo and petting the baby rabbits and guinea pigs. We'll definitely be back.

I’ve been here twice while driving back up from Ashburton to Hamilton and I highly recommend stopping there! Super friendly and well run. Definitely could do with some TLC on the playground but as two adults my partner and I loved it. We especially loved Brulee who was a tiny little pig! Friendly animals, could spend all day there

My kids loved the farm. A few parts of the farm were closed off, so we didnt get to feed the cows or horses in the far paddock. The animals were running wild and free except for a poor, sad looking donkey that was shackled to a tree. He looks so depressed, so we made sure to feed him lots. Over all it was a nice afternoon out. My kids loved the play area.

Cool little farm that you can walk around and feed the animals. Friendly staff. Watch out for the Cockatoo though.. he is very friendly and will climb on to your shoulder - but doesn't like getting off again. The kids were stoked that they got to pat guinea pigs.

in A drought the place never looks good without rain the grass doesn’t grow and dust is everywhere which makes everything hard to keep clean. The spiders come indoors to catch the flys. In the past few weeks we have been working hard to get the place up to scratch. I understand that people not from a rural background don’t understand the impact a drought makes on the farm. The animals are reduced to hay and feed nuts instead of juicy grass but they are feed every day with more than adequate food. Sparrows are not part of our farm animals I’m sorry people have to see life and death as it truely is
