Wellington Advent Calender made me stop at this amazing waffles place. My husband ordered the banana waffle which had nuts, nutella and cream. Because of the deal I got a free brownie waffle which was so rich in flavour, althought it was dipped in chocolate it was not crazy sweet, just perfect enough to enjoy the whole moment. Loved it and will be back again to try their home made beligian hot chocolate - definitely winter vibes. The server was so nice and positive too, she got too many orders at once but got them through without compromising the quality of food or service, total pro!

You should try this waffle shop, it is amazing! I love waffles! I have tried different places around Wellington, but I found the best one here at La Belle Waffle :) So tasty! High quality products. Walked by this cute little shop on vaca and couldn’t resist. Ordered the Kiwi waffle, eating that as I walk down the block and midway through seriously contemplated ordering another one because it was so god darn delish. Decided against that because I’m not an animal and should not consume TWO whole waffles with fixings in one go. Please order the kiwi waffle so I can live vicariously through you

Why have I only just discovered la Belle waffle!. Admittedly I've walked past many times just didn't think a waffle could be worth it. We ordered a selection through ubereats . Absolutely delicious so sooooo good. We will back again and again.

The best waffles in Wellington! Slightly crunchy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, this is not your average café waffle, these are proper Liège waffles. It's hard to explain just how good they are, just give them a try. I recommend the chocolate sticks waffle: the sticks melt inside the waffle, it tastes amazing and it's easy to eat on the go (and will prevent your kids from getting entirely covered in chocolate)

I was just passing by when I smelled a familiar odour. I'm from Belgium and I was please to find this waffle shop. I enjoyed my waffle very much. It tasted like home. Definitely recommend it to everyone especially people who never tried Belgian waffles.

The best waffles! Somehow soft AND crispy. The whipped cream and peach is definitely my favorite, fresh and not overly sweet. Absolutely amazing service as well - the lady is smart and knew we would appreciate the waffle to be cut into pieces with chocolate spread evenly (as opposed to half-dipped) making much easier to share.

I was born and raised in Belgium. Been abroad for years, most of which in NZ. Did not know of this place, and came in with a healthy critical mindset, as I have seen and experienced "belgian waffles" abroad... La Belle Waffle is the real treat! Nicholas, from Brussels himself, has taken what's excellent about Belgium, and added to it with some creative touches and family secrets. Went all-out, or should I say "all on", first. Delicious, unreal, magic for your mouth. Just take your time to savour every component. The truffles blew me away. Superb gaufre, les gaz! Second time around (yes, we went back the very next day - "when in Rome...") the chocolat sticks, and the speculoos one, were to die for. The choc milk was lush as well. Truely the best belgian waffles outside of Belgium. And an absolute contender within... Go have a taste of Belgium, guys. Belgapproved!

Edit: Having now (safely) tried the waffles after Nicolas' feedback below I have revised my rating to a 4 star. Unfortunately I can't rave as much as the other patrons have. The waffles are good, but they aren't fabulous. They don't travel well and they have a strong almond essence flavouring that turns me off. As I know this is a personal preference and as my partner liked them quite a lot, I've compromised on a 4 star. Thanks for the reply, Nicolas. Original review: This is a 1-star review directed at the owner who can somehow run a food establishment and fail to inform staff of the products' ingredients. For your potential customers with anaphylactic allergies this is a massive fail.
