This place is phenomenal! Owners are fantastic, great care and expertise has gone into the design and outlay of the property. 100% fully recommend and definitely returning 🙏💜 Photo shows the studio rooms, 5 which surround and have their own courtyard, bbq, shady tree and picnic tables. Perfect for groups and socializing. Love love it here

Good experience and we'll maintained spaces and facilities. We stayed in a cabin which was clean and tidy with double glazed windows and doors. With 4 adults and 2 young children it was tight, so would be hard if you had the advertised max of 8 in the one cabin. Pool and Spa were both great with the kids and kept very clean and tidy. Additional toddler pool was a great depth and really helped cater for the whole family. Close location to the beach and shops which were only a few minutes walk away. We did ask for early check-in due to a drive from wellington with young kids and found some of the communication was great and others were quite direct and not very accommodating. However we did stay in peak season which means they were very busy. Staff onsite and during our stay were very friendly and happy to help where they could.

Fabulous family friendly camping holiday. Kids love the pool. Sites are large and well maintained. Lots to do in the surrounding areas... Walks, cafes, beaches, etc. Highly recommend.

Amazing facilities and campsite, I would have given it a 5 star rating but unfortunately our campsite was right next to the kids local hang out spot and the amount of foul language and excessive noise that come from there was not ideal as we had 2 small kids. It wasn’t a very relaxing stay but that’s no fault of the resort. Maybe don’t rent that campsite out in future as it’s not fair on the camper to endure constant foul language and noise coming from that spot.

Spa pool was great. Kitchen was clean, lots of cooking stations / fridges/freezers for everyone. Bring your own pots / pans/ cooking and cleaning utensils. Hot boiling water comes out immediately from the silver boxes.

Had a great time here. We stayed over the super busy period. The wifi didn't really work but hey, it was Summer and there was 500 odd people there. The cabin was great, only complaint being the weather was so good (sun all day) that the cabin would heat up all day and leak it out into the room all night. And with no fan/aircon it was hard to sleep. But I mean overall great, good pool, easy friendly helpful staff.

Awesome spot, a heap of things to do for the kids, loved the coffee cart. This place is great, the family facilities were clean and the Manager super friendly. This was a great place to spend new years

What an amazing place to stay with it also being our first time. Our accommodation was superb with everything you would need the only thing lacking was aircon / fan but other than that nice and close to the beach, local shops, a devine pool. We will definitely be back thank you so much.

We had a very nice stay. The spa was good but the jets didn't work. They struggle to keep the toilets clean when there's lots of families

Awesome place with a spa and pool beach is like 2 minutes walk away. The actual sites are decently sized fit about 3-4 tents and a car.

So sad we couldn’t stay this year due to COVID but they were very understanding and were very nice to give us our deposit back. We have stayed with them before and really enjoyed our stay so will definitely be coming back to stay.

Fantastic! Absolutely blew our expectations out of the water. We stayed in a cabin which was tidy and modern at a great price. The shared facilities were the best of any accommodation we've stayed at in NZ, and the pool and hot pool were great! Had them all to ourselves most of the time. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the on site shop had some handy items at good prices. Location was 10/10, close to everything yet quiet and relaxing, much nicer than being in Whitianga township. We'll definitely be back!

We've had our 1st day nd nite here nd it is fantabulous.,great venue nd the facilities are immaculate.,we're here for another 3nites nd are loving it.,well worth a look pple.

Very nice camp grounds. Would definitely be going back. The only downfall I had was for a first time camper I did not know that we needed a RCD outdoor plug and they don't provide one or have one for hire so had to go out and buy one. Other than that we all had an amazing time 😊

Best campsite on our trip so far. Nice warm swimming pool, sky TV in the communal area, large pitches, refreshing drinking water and friendly staff. Great deals on NZMCA website too. Thank you guys we had a lovely relaxing stay

Best camp stay in coromandel. Well managed and close to town beach and fishing. Great facilities, pool and hot tub.

Cooks resort was a stunning place and very tidy all round. I Thought it was pretty handy to many other beautiful places near by including shops But.... . I do think the staff could be a little more helpful and not so rude. My concern was that I thought it was a little over the top charging children under 2 years old $20 per a night as most camp grounds are free for kids under 2. I then of course also thought it was a little crazy being told that 10pm was shut down and people need to go to bed. we have paid to camp and catch up with friends on holiday not be sent to bed. Other wise it was fun just need to review the children's fee..

Amazing resort! very friendly and clean facilities! Would give it a 5 star apart from one of the employees water blasting the rubbish bins and dirty mats next to our clean washing and duvet inner on the washing line. We picked up our washing and advised him it was a bit inconsiderate when the resort was pretty much empty with so many other places to spray the bins and he just disregarded it and continued his job. We advised the manager at the front desk who was kind enough to offer us a free washing load to put it back through but we were already ready to leave. Thank you for the good stay and we appreciate you having a word with said employee regards to common sense. We would recommend this place and stay again.

We booked for 8 nights and it's been a lovely place to stay with our caravan. Large flat pitches. Clean and tidy bathrooms and an excellent pool if you have kids. The hot pool is adults only which is good. The staff have all been friendly. The beach is easy walking distance, as is the shops,restaurants and most importantly, the liquor store.

A nice location with nice clean facilities, however the toilet blocks on our side of the camp site were closed so we had to walk over the the other side, and the Spa had apparently "just broken today" despite another reviewer saying it was not working a month ago. Good value for money for camping with access to a pool though, would still stay again.

We did a late night to early morning overnighter, and while our stay was short, it was great. The facilities were fantastic, the staff incredibly accommodating. We booked a "deluxe cabin". Not quite deluxe, but more than adequate, clean and comfortable. Nice and close to the amenities, and we noticed that each cabin has been built for some privacy , which was really nice. The pool and spa complex, especially adult spa, were divine...soaking under the stars.

I never write reviews but feel I need to review this place. Loved my 2-night stay here. Spotlessly clean. Very modern and well maintained facilities. Great kitchen with ovens and lots of fridge space. Friendly owner. Playground for kids. Pools and jacuzzi. Very close to Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove. Can't wait to stay there again!

Good beach, shop and pub/restaurant. The basics for a good day out are all there.

One of the best accommodation I have been to. Exceptionally clean and new facilities that were perfectly managed by staffs. Pool was one of the best among them. Adult spa was warm enough to soak in and toddler pool was safe for young children. Only 15 minutes to Hot Water beach and under 5 minutes to Ferry Landing to jump to Whitianga. Easy stroll to shops and beach.

Ok but being done up so facilities and spaces limited. Will be great when finished.

Very lovely environment. Only sad thing was that the playground was very advanced and pool was super deep not suitable for me with 2 young children by myself. A bigger kids shallow pool would be awesome

Wonderful place to stay. We stayed over the New Year period and were really impressed. Great atmosphere, well looked after facilities, cleaned regularly. The pool is amazing, and really kid friendly. Even with a full campground it never felt crowded. We will definitely be back.

One of the best camp sites I've stayed at. Reasonable sized sites, all sites look to be powered. Great pools and spas. Excellent kitchen facilities. Short walk to the beach and the few shops.

Great location and staff really nice. The camping plots are generous and just an all round good place to stay. Pool is great on a hot day.

Really nice facilities! It all feels clean and new. All taps are on a filtered water bore supply. From what I could see, all the sites have electricity available. Handy to the beach and tennis courts over the road. I'd stay again, definitely.

Nice camping grounds - very well kept and the facilities were spotless clean. It was nice to be close to the beach and the township. Our only downfall was the attitude of the staff.

Great place camped there for 6 nights with 3 families. Great facilities pool plenty to do in the area great beaches in the surrounding areas and weather was perfect 👌

We recently stayed here over the summer and had the most fantastic time. The camp ground is tidy and well spread out and well maintained by a very friend team who are always around if you need anything. The kitchen facilities were superb with many fridges and large freezers. Off the kitchen there are bar be ques and also the swimming pool which makes watching children easy ( the pool is fantastic after a long day on the beach, and many friends were made with other children.) The beach is a short walk away with lovely white sand warn water and great swimming. The tent sites were spacious and cabins new and very comfortable and private. We totally recommend this resort as it is also close to all tourist attractions Hot water beach, etc.

Awesome place to camp especially with families. Great facilities on the whole with the exception 9d the old toilet block that needs to be demolished. The pool is definitely a hit with the whole family. Close to the ferry to Whitianga

Immaculate facilities clean and extremely well set up for all services .lovely flat sites well cared for .Addition of trees will be great in the future .Management very approachable and helpful .cant wait for our next visit .

We went there 4/12/2020 stayed for 2 nights We were greeted by the beautiful owner Harry who was very kind and nice to us He was very considerate and fulfilled all our requests I tried returning on new years but they were fully booked Would definitely come back again and recommend this place Thanks Harry!

Tidy, warm, quiet (at moment). Pleasant stay at acceptable price.

Very clean and reasonably priced. Unlike other camping site, this place has a resort feel. Kitchen has a conventional oven. Love the jacuzzi n toilets. Free wifi for 24 hours. The best in my 2 weeks stay in New Zealand.

Great hosts, very tidy facilities, kids friendly, amazing pool. Only negative is that it can be very noisy during peak times.

Reasonably nice place. Spacious kitchen. The lady who checked us in was very friendly. Showers go off every 10 seconds so you have to keep your hands on the button. The adults only hot tub was always full of children which was really annoying. Take cash as most places around don't take cards. If you want to go into Whitianga town (atm's there) the ferry over is $7 return. The nice little 5 minute ride cuts out a 30/40 minute drive around.

That is an amazing campground. Facilities are very clean and look very new. It's a big campground but now are busy a couple people here so I can say anything about how busy it gets. The pool is very nice and they have a big in\outdoor sitting area. It's a bit pricy but I would recommend it anyways.

Nice, relaxing and clean place to stay with good facilities incl a huge pool, kitchen and tv room for the kids, showers close to the pool, a dedicated fish filleting area and a 5 min walk to the beach. The chalets got pretty hot despite all the windows being open so hard to sleep at night. They could do with a fan or air conditioning!

This is my go to plaace when stressed. Peace and quiet, bliss

This resort is the best. Facilities are in excellent condition. If you are thinking on visiting Cook beach, do not hesitate to saty here.

We absolutely loved staying here! Loved the pool/spa and the hosts were awesome! At night time you can hear the waves rolling in from the beach close by and on a beautiful night you can see the millions of stars. A very peaceful place to stay.

Love the resort and visit atleast twice a year. The new management is not very friendly and the atmosphere seems alot colder since. Kitchen no longer has anything in it, no paper towels, no dish wash liquid, no dishes or utensils for campers to use, also no clock. Last stay has been very disappointing as staff was very unfriendly.

Just what we needed for the night, fast WiFi and a comfy bed. The public toilet and shower are kept well clean, and so is the kitchen area. Remember to ring your own duvet, there are sheets and pillows. You can also rent a duvet for $8

Awsome management, so accomodating and friendly. Stayed in a studio unit for 1 night and it’s absolutely perfect and so clean and tidy. Great pool and amenities. Thanks so much Nicole

Excellent service and facilities. $25 per person per night powered. A little pricey but all the campings in Coromandel are expensive comparing to the rest of NZ. The facilities are clean are big. Plenty of hot free showers but powered with a button inside it that lasts 1 minute, so you have to put the button all time when you are taking the shower.. They have a laundry, a big pool and a smaller hot pool. Also the kitchen doesn’t have dishes and staff.. only fridges, freezer, microwave, instant hot water and burners. They have many tables and a TV right next to the kitchen.

Excellent place to stay and enjoy the magnificent facilities. Everything is tidy an clean, great amenities, including a big pool with a hot tub, full set kitchen and bathrooms. The showers aren't that good as you need to constantly push the button to keep the water running but it goes with spirit of being resource aware as they've got at least 7 different recicling bins. A little expensive if you are a backpacker but definitely worth it if you're planning to relax, Coromandel isn't cheap anyway.

It was ok, location is great, place seem to have a great set up with a pool etc but in the room things were a bit broken, curtains, tv kept having an input notice come up. Wifi didnt reach the room.

It's a beautiful well kept place, great for families and it's walking distance to shops and beach. I suggest to people to go and check it out. Only negative thing to us and others is the owner (who served us) or staff member came across rude.

Amazing place. Almost all the instalations are new. Very family vibe. Good to stay for a night in the area if you're a backpacker with a van.

Stayed there for one night while travelling the Coromandel with a group of friends, easily the best set-up we've come across and would go there again in a heart-beat. Super affordable, spa and heated pool, great kitchen facilities, cabin was awesome and had its own bathroom/kitchen and TV (and wifi came free!). 10/10

This place is amazing, green, clean, with some friendly chicken walking around, pools were really relaxing and the kitchen is well equipped. With a wine tasting nearby, too bad there is no walking track there.

Very modern facilities for a camping ground. Powered sites, big pools, big kitchen, bbqs, microwave, boat wash down area, bait freezer. Loved it.

I would give it a 5 but the pool was closed and there were chickens following you and the second you leave the door open they come in .

Die sanitären Einrichtungen sind alle sauber und gepflegt. Das wifi ist leider nicht überall verfügbar und die Tore schließen abends bis um 7 Uhr morgens. Daher entsprechender Abzug.

(Translated) Nice area with annoying showers. You have to press a button every few seconds to get water. Regulation also not possible. What bothered us, however, was the fact that new camping guests came very late at night and they stayed right next to our site (powered side), although there was enough space and partied forever. Nobody from the campsite staff was to be found there. (Original) Schöne Anlage mit nervigen Duschen. Man muss alle paar Sekunden einen Knopf drücken, damit Wasser kommt. Regulation ebenso nicht möglich. Gestört hat uns aber, daß nachts sehr spät neue zeltende Gäste gekommen sind und sich diese direkt neben unserem Platz (powered side) einquartiert haben, obwohl es genügend Platz gab und ewig party gemacht haben. Vom Zeltplatz Personal war da niemand mehr anzutreffen.
