In our situation, the entire new house purchase process was an emotional rollercoaster as we had to sell our existing house to buy our dream home. We had to deal with a short settlement date, banks that seem to take their sweet time, refinancing, break fees, bridging finance, and all sorts of other legal and bank-related jargon that we had little experience with.
