Initially I wasn't 100% sold on using a broker after having a very average experience with one a few years ago, but from the first engagement (a very angry version of myself on the phone to Mikey after being declined by ANZ) and continued engagement with Mikey and his Associate; Ryland I have felt informed, well communicated with and taken care of. I had small loan requirement which I approached my bank directly( as I had done over 20 years) - the outcome after much discussion was they wanted to lower a lot of the limits and remove facilities I already had approved which I thought was very unreasonable given the high security value they held. I read the reviews on Mikey and LoanMarket and gave him a call. I was able to see him that day and it was all go from there. Mikey was professional, knowledgeable and really got to understand what I was trying to do. Ironically Mikey went back to my bank, got all my requirements and increased my limits! My lesson - go to Mikey first as it removed all the pain, got me more value.. and no cost! Mikey and I had some very good conversations and I learnt a lot from him and will use him from now on.. not sure why you would want to go anywhere else.

Right from the word go, Mikey was fantastic to deal with. We were first time home buyers, so naturally had a heap of questions, and Mikey was always super responsive. He put time aside to schedule a few (lockdown) ZOOM calls to talk us through the process, how it all works between the lawyers, the banks, what to ask and look for with the Vendor and the Agent - and reviewed our S&P for us and got super fast turnaround on our Pre-Approvals for us.
