I am very very happy with this insurance company. I was very uncertain because less known insurance company's tend to have a weird not earned shade. However, they where non-difficult, easy to talk to, and made it simple for me to fill out for a claim. The customer service was a 10/10 very kind, friendly and made me feel less awkward about the whole situation of filling a claim. I am insuring my new bike with them and am pleased with the performance. : )

Oh! Happy days, I have been dealing with another insurance company for years that can only be contacted by phone during business hours to arrange motorcycle insurance. This service offered by Protecta online is just brilliant. ps. and cheaper with half the excess value.

My bike got heavily damaged while someone attempted to steal it. Found it a few days later in my neighbourhood. Protecta handled the whole process just perfectly. Very smooth claiming process and good communication the whole time. On the phone, we discussed my preferred repair shop and they ordered a tow-away service. In the end, they paid me the insured value without any issues because unfortunately, the damage on the bike was fatal. I will insure my future bikes here anytime! Thanks heaps!

Online proccess was easy but the payment option mentioned a bank account option when, after that, the only option was credit card. A bank account option would have been preferred.

great company, used them for over 10 years, excellent service, reliable when it matters, and always polite and accommodating. Even got a car package once for having referred so many people, its not hard when you know they are the best service and price on the market. wouldnt look anywhere else for my motorcycles and cars. Highly recommend.

Great deals for classic vehicles, team of individuals who live and breathe bikes and cars, they not only understand they have done it all themselves, coupled with a fast and friendly service.

Great service, had to utilize this twice for the same bike, the first time under serious repairs due to an attempted theft, and another from a successful theft. No hassles, no fights, astounding service. I was a little worried on the first round, but came to find it was all due to waiting on the parts. Was unsure at the time, but once it came through, it was sorted easily enough. As with the stolen vehicle, it took about a week or two at most to sort it out. Absolutely amazed by the service, never had to try and fight for it at all. Definitely a 5/5.

I have just been dealing with Carey, and the service was fantastic, all my question were answered promptly, so I insured my classic car and 3rd party on the motorcycle. The rates are very competitive and the policy's are fantastic. Even includes roadside assist, how good is that. Grant

Brilliant except when you apply online they don't always have the options required. I haven't had time to ring up , I've tried to email and I still haven't got the correct details sorted yet . I've had no trouble at all with my other car . Just the older one. Great service from past experience. Not quite sure how but they need to have all options available when applying online. Have never had any trouble in the past with any claims .

Haven't had insurance before so not much to go off but whenever I have called for help they have made it easy and I haven't had to pay anything extra. Wonderful customer service and doesn't cost much for what I'm covered for. So far, really good experience.

I've dealt with Protecta for over 10 years, with car insurance and MBI. We have had several claims which have been dealt with efficiently. I find them a good company to deal with.

I had my ADLY GTA-50 stolen recently and Protecta was so onto it with my insurance. They were incredibly responsive and knew all the details about my claim whenever I called up, and were very knowledgeable and helpful. As a student having my main means of transport stolen was quite stressful and Protecta made the whole process very easy and put me at ease, thanks so much to the Protecta team, I will absolutely be insuring my new scooter with you!

Well I wish I could leave a better review but they said they wouldn't insure me because I had too many accidents on my record. I'm an older person and I need insurance to drive as accidents do happen.

They were right on the ball from the very beginning. I didn't have to do a thing except give them the details of my crash, and then wait! They are super-efficient in ALL aspects, and I had a courtesy car without asking. The repairers they chose also made life easier for me, and both companies were really courteous and extremely helpful, especially as it was the Christmas holidays, etc. A REAL BIG THANK YOU TO THEM!!!

Thanks for this opportunity to cover my vehicle at this time. brilliant. however the person that answered my phone call (afterhours I admit) missed a trick by not informing me of the option for getting it sorted on line! which was perfect by the way! I only discovered this option by searching insurance options online. You were recommended by the previous owner.

My experience with Protecta has been really exceptional regarding the claim with my car. I got my claim money back and special thanks to Stewart for his service. He walked me through the process to claim insurance and always offered he could some thing extra to help me. I Really appreciate the help he provided through the process. Surely recommend Protecta Insurance.

Good service but my actual insurance was not covered.

I honestly cant fault Protecta Insurance- Motorcycle dept. They are super quick and attentive and they always keep in touch during the claim process. I was travelling to pick up a newly purchased motorbike on Sunday and needed urgent cover for the ride back to Wellington- I called on the friday afternoon and Leigha O was super lovely and very helpful on the phone and got everything sorted within a couple of hours so I was fully insured for the ride home. The same motorcycle was in a car crash only a few months later (other drivers fault not mine!) and Kevin S has been AMAZING in dealing with the claim and keeping me up to date with where my claim was at. I truly felt he was working with my best interest in mind and he helped make this whole process smooth and easy. Its really awesome to know that my insurance company is there to help me when I need it! I have recommended them to all my friends and family and will continue to use them as my insurer! thanks team!

I'm just about to hand in a claim form tomorrow 13/01/2020 and I'm praying this insurance company isn't as bad as all the negative 1 star reviews I've been reading 🤦‍♂️ My vehicle is insured for 14k I was hit yesterday 11/01/2020 and was not at fault. So I assume this should be a smooth and quick process to having my car repaired and back on the road. Will change 3 star rating according to my experience throughout this process.

Great insurance company. I needed insurance immediately from overseas on a brand new bike so I did their online process and got signed up in minutes! So I knew my bike was safe in my garage whilst I was still on holiday.

Had my bikes insured with Protecta for a few years now. Very competitive premiums, easy contact, prompt service and info always provided clearly. Def worth contacting if you're in the market for motorcycle insurance.

Insured 4 vehicles so far through them over the last 5 years and have been great to deal with when needed to make a claim after a classic car break-in in Napier and also when damaged in a Hobsonville carpark by a careless driver backing into my car.

A++ recommend using protecta insurance, had mega issues not long after buying a new car and as we all do I was pulling my hair out stressing what to do, I got in contact with protecta insurance and dealt with Vinny who was an absolute legend! I have been with Protecta for 3 vehicles, a few breakdowns and over 5 years. They were old vehicles so there were times I was left on the side of the road but I always appreciated how quick and personalised the experience with Protecta was. I was surprised at all the negative reviews, I have only ever had lovely voice at the end of the line, including just last month after an incident days before my wedding, Noeleen was nothing but efficient and lovely finding me a courtesy car so i didnt have to worry, also understanding i didn't have alot of time to take phone calls etc. The settlement was in my account in no time and communication was always great with her and Lydia. People don't often go out of their way to write reviews unless they have a complaint, so i thought i would write a positive one. Thank you

Just clicked on the link in the KiwiRider online edition, got a quote and within 10 minutes I had cover the same as I had with KiwiBike at $15.00 per month less. Really nice seamless process.

Have used protecta insurance for my car and motorbike and it always gives you the best service. Had to call them twice in a day to have a roadside assistance and had no problem at all. Highly reccomended.

Maya and Louise gave excellent service. My case went to Disputes Tribunal and they explained the steps and included me on the preparation. The support before and during the hearing was excellent. Highly recommended

Maya at Protecta was super helpful sorting out a disputed claim on my motorcycle. Easy to contact, kept me in the loop and was sympathetic to having to fight through it. Great service.

My motorbike broke down on the road, Protecta Insurance operator was very professional and helped me out so I was towed away in 1.5 hour (during rush hour). Afterwards I decided to cancel insurance due to no point of fixing my motorcycle so they get it done in 1min after phone call.

A big thank you to Vinnie who helped sort out repairs on my forester transmission. Vinnie was very helpful and went the extra mile for me - I give him 5 stars - the only reason I've only given 4 is because I had hoped Protecta 'might come to the party' given the car dealership was dodgy as and ripped me off in regard to my having paid for the better, more comprehensive insurance but not recieving it, and not finding that out until I had to make a claim! I got totally ripped off by Alpha Cars, Manurewa when purchasing in multiple ways but in regard to the insurance, I requested the middle mechanical breakdown policy and paid for it, but they only provided the basic component policy hence my cover was not high enough to pay for a full repair - nor did the dealer supply the insurance document only the booklet. Vinnie offered to source a second hand transmission in order to keep the claim affordable for me - thank you Vinnie!

Can honestly say this insurer is worth every cent Steven Dufty (aka Vinnie)was so helpful went over and above to help sort out my claim my policy had ran out but because I had made a claim previous to claim expiring and the same problem reoccurring they didn't have a second thought and were happy to see the issue through to the somewhat challenging problem couldn't recommend them any higher
