Brodie Sadgrove from ConnectMe Mortgages is approachable, patient and resourceful with every house we sent to him - and we came across heaps. He answered all of our questions and pointed us to the right people if we were struggling with different aspects of house hunting e.g. insurance, builder's report, etc. We definitely felt more confident in our search and we knew he had our back. EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WHICH SAVED US $800 EVERY 4 WEEKS ON OUR MORTGAGE PAYMENTS. We cannot recommend Emma Johnston - Mortgage Broker at Connect Me Mortgages enough -or speak more highly of the exceptional service she recently provided to me and my husband which saved us over $800 every 4 weeks on our home loan for a period of 2 years. My husband and I moved to NZ 4 years ago and went to our (BNZ) bank last year for help to finance a home loan to build our new home. We were given a "special discounted rate" of 4.88% interest by our current bank as a construction loan which we did not question. When we were recommended Emma by my work colleague at the beginning of this year - she advised us that we should have been eligible for a Blue Print to Build Scheme - which would see us receive a discount of 2.88% on our monthly mortgage payments for 2 years. Emma arranged for our home loan to be transferred to a provider who provided this scheme (our current bank didn't). Emma took care of all the paperwork and negotiation with the new lender, ANZ, and kept us fully informed throughout the process of changing our loan over. Emma was always contactable and quick in her responses to any queries we had. With Emma's help our loan was transferred saving us over $800 every four weeks for the next two years. Emma's help has ensured that over the next two years we will be paying a total of $20,800 less in our interest payments. Mind-blowing and we cannot thank her enough. Needless to say we most certainly will have Emma as our mortgage broker for life.

We have had dealings with banks and they were unprofessional and unhelpful towards my first home buying situation with one of the Mobile Mortgage Managers asked if we even knew what we were doing in a condescending way. Me and my wife had such a terrible experience with the bank when we gave them 8 business days in advance to see if we could go unconditional on our offer but there were no response to my emails or correspondence and we ended up losing on the home because we had to go conditional to finance. After the awful experience with the bank we ended up going to see Mike and it was wonderful working with Mike. As a first home buyer, I felt looked after with Mike. Mike was helpful in every way from the documents needed for the application, to the home loan offer, to the settlement. He ensured that I understood every step of the way on what was happening. Mike was genuine and was always present through the whole way. I have referred him to many other friends and will continue to do so because I know that he will look after all his clients. It was a pleasure working with him and can not wait to work with him in the future once my fixed terms end to reassess the situation and work in a new deal.

Looking for finance when it comes to lending for a property is not always the easiest and can also be a huge emotional rollercoaster for some people. In some cases, it can be difficult to share lots of case-sensitive personal information with a broker who you never knew or met before. We investigated our options with our first port of call being on Google and contacted the top five listings, which included some of the larger mortgage broker brands including squirrel who placed in the top three on Google. I write this review for Emma at connectme mortgages but also highlight why I did not choose to continue the dealings after two or three phone call conversations and document submissions with others. Therefore this review is comparable to the experience of the last 4 to 5 weeks with all of the selected brokers. Emma made the experience very personal. She allowed us to feel comfortable and shared processes and insights into lenders thinking and her suggestions for us to align with. She took the responsibility to realise the result one way or the other. Constant communications daily allowed us to feel that maybe she was only working for us and no other client. Emma can see the big picture from the small window shared with her as a top-class detective would in a crime scene. Selflessly using her negotiating skills with lenders to even get them to reduce their admin fees including hers because she wanted this to work for us. In comparison to early days whilst still talking to many brokers including Emma, no one at all cut it to the level of her qualities and hence it was not a difficult choice for us to engage the best broker for the job. Thank you Emma you are a true asset to the company and have given confidence to us that we can rely on you, hence next time knowing you are a text message away. Brodie Sadgrove? Definitely worth it. Being on my own in NZ meant - I couldn't afford to make a mistake while buying a house. Apart from getting a lot of details about properties, loans, agreements etc., I really appreciated that I had his fast responses on the phone and did not have to deal with a bank. I've personally know Mike for several years now and I must say from an outcomes perspective there is no one better. I have had a experiances with a couple of other brokers who have managed to a job, haven't had the knowledge that Mike has. From the start he knows if you are going to get a loan and who is lending for your situation. Where as I have found other brokers haven't, you go through the forms process then they give you the "bad" news. Mike and the team offer practical solutions for finance. Not all the time I've liked the message, but the reality was that it simply wasn't possible in the lending enviroment at the time. There approach is the most modern I've experianced.
