Being a new first home buyer, she was able to advise me on certain things to look out for (ie; piles, roofing, electrics, cladding), and was always very patient and clear in explaining the details and rationales behind certain aspects of sales and purchase agreements, legalities, loan structures etc. She even coached me on pre-auction strategy and was full of helpful tips for giving me the best chance of being accepted in a multi-offer situation. I started my house hunt in May/June 2020 and went unconditional on a house in August 2020. Even though Heather is based in Auckland, she seemed to know the Hamilton market and the zoom meetings were super convenient. She is tactful, encouraging and kind, and knew all the right things to say when I missed out on houses. The journey would have felt a thousand times more difficult and I would have felt a lot less certain of my decisions without Heather’s support.
