J.Honest and very professional, great communication skills, Michael helped us with our first home buying to get the best deal in the market. Journeyed alongside even till the date of settlement, liaising with the mortgage lenders to clarify some confusions emerged out of no where because of miscommunication between the bank and our solicitor. Michael went out of the way and contacted the bank officials and resolved the issue for us.

T.Michael helped my fiance and I buy our first home. Going into this process we had no idea of the majority of the process or where to begin. Coupled with this, we are both self-employed contractors, which led to a lot of extra financial information gathering as part of our application to the bank.
Michael did not skip a beat with any of this. He told us exactly what we needed to do and how best to go about it, and was thorough and patient with explanations and all of our questions. He was also excellent with gently following up and giving us reminders if we were ever slow to get something done. While buying a house for the first time is always going to be relatively stressful, I believe it was as smooth as it could have been because of Michael's help, and I always felt confident that he would get us to the next step.

Right from the start he listened to what we wanted, asked questions to ensure his understanding. From then on he was super responsive taking phone calls in the evenings and on weekends through the pre-approval process and then throughout the multiple offers before we were successful, nothing was to much trouble. Michael was at pains to carefully walk us through the process one step at a time helping keep stress levels down. He lived and breathed the journey with us.
A.Was trying to buy my first home for a year and a half, Michael was amazing the entire time. Keeping my pre approval up to date and working hard to make sure I had finance secured as fast as possible each time I put in an offer. His advice was always helpful and his experience was invaluable in helping during stressful situations.

N.First home buyers (and probably everyone else): Michael is the man you want on your team. Working with him was the best decision we made in our journey to become first home buyers.
We entered the housing market as first home buyers at the time it has probably never been harder to be a first home buyer in New Zealand history. Michael gladly accepted the challenge and worked with us each and every step of the way. We knew nothing about the process, and he unpacked it all for us and answered many a dumb question without a hint of condescension.
Michael worked with us through (unfortunately) several failed attempts until we finally landed on a winner. He introduced us to a community of professionals (solicitors, valuators, accountants etc) we needed to make it all happen.

We first met Michael at a property viewing where he had been invited along by the agent. We never went forward with an offer on that property but decided to hold onto his details since he came across as such a friendly and genuine person.

We reached out to Michael and the first thing he did was set up a meeting to talk about who we were, where we were at in our lives, and what we were looking for. He provided really helpful advice on the buying and mortgaging processes as well as his own personal insights on building a house.
