Incredible service which went above & beyond !! I got engaged on Christmas eve & my ring was slightly too big so I messaged Gary that same day. Despite it being the holidays, he still answered all of my questions very quickly and went above & beyond to help me. No-one wants to be without their new engagement ring for weeks on end being resized, so I was over the moon when Gary offered same day service. He made the necessary alterations perfectly and within a 1.5hr window. The results are flawless !! I cannot recommend Gary enough, he's everything you want in a jeweller (great prices, amazing customer service and incredible craftsmanship). I was referred to Gary through a trusted friend who held he and his team in high regard. I needed an engagement ring, and I needed one that was worthy of the amazing woman that I planned on asking to spend the rest of my life with. Not long after meeting Gary, I recognised just why my friend spoke so highly of him. He and I spoke openly and freely, he provided invaluable professional insight that only a true master jeweller could, and before long, we’d come up with a plan for a beautiful, hand crafted, traditional engagement ring, for a brilliant cut set in a 6-claw platinum setting, with a series of additional sparkly stones set either side of a feature stone. It had the desired effect, and the ring looks incredible on my beautiful fiancés finger. The whole experience was made effortless, enjoyable and the caliber of Gary’s craftsmanship, far exceeded my expectations. P.S. I’d have given a 6th star if there was one available for the review.

I browsed for a long time looking for an engagement ring with a sustainable, lab grown diamond. Decided to contact Gary Meaden to see if he could assist. From the first phone call, Gary was extremely accommodating to my requests. I found him extremely knowledgeable, personable and honest, providing valuable advice through the process. I'm upgrading him from Master Jeweller to Magician Jeweller. 15 years (and 15 kg) on from getting married, my wedding ring no longer fitted and was becoming painful to wear (I bought it as a size W and now I'm a Z). I thought it would be impossible to resize as it is a two band puzzle ring, featuring two different shades of gold that interlock, with engraving taking up most of the inside. Gary managed this very tricky resize while also preserving all the engraving. I'm so pleased to be able to wear my wedding ring again. I highly recommend Gary.

I was referred to Gary about 6 years ago by a diamond importer with a very long career, who described Gary as the best jeweller in Auckland. Over the past 6 years Gary has created two absolutely stunning diamond rings for me, and several other stunning pieces for family and friends. Gary is extremely experienced and has the skills and knowledge to find a way to create whatever you want. I think quite unique to Gary, is his ability to create amazingly delicate/fine pieces of jewellery, such that the setting holding the stones together can almost seem invisible, which I have not seen replicated by other jewellers. In addition to his experience and skill, he is a superb listener and just such a pleasure to deal with. The endorsement of Gary as the best jeweller in Auckland is absolutely correct in my opinion!

Gary was fantastic, Im not usually one to leave reviews but his service definitely deserves 5 stars! I contacted Gary regarding a loose centre stone in my engagement ring. He replied quickly and said I was able to drop the ring in to him, with only one hour before his closing time. I had a ring resized here and unfortunately there was an issue with the join cracking. I ended up returning to the original manufacturer for repair however when I advised Gary of what happened he was extremely apologetic in his response and refunded the cost of the original resize immediately. Unfortunate the initial work wasn't great (I have been told the jeweler responsible has since left) but the way the issue was dealt with was.
