M.Lovely selection. But.... customer service was just not where it should be. When I asked for a wee basket I was given the cold shoulder and not even greeted. I know Christmas time and covid can be rough... but I felt unwanted in the store. Not a great feeling.
v.I find the Asian lady . (I don't know name.. going off visual) .. at the st martins store .. over bearing .. cant just chill around.... was pounced on .. demanding I wear a mask.. didn't ask about exemption.. so I just left tht day .
doesnt seem to be aware of people skills.. and unaware of own energy .. which is surprising for age
. not a pleasant experience.. however Scottish accent chick us super chill.. helpful a pleasant groovy experience.. def better vibe
E.Staff are fantastically friendly and can point you to exactly what you're looking for. Out of all the Hetties locations this is definitely the quietest. A must stop for any crystal lover
K.Loved it! I left 2 little items on the counter went back and the lady had remembered 1 main thing I purchased and wrote it on the bag with my items as I didn't take my receipt lol so good outcome! Great place! So pretty and smelled amazing 🙃

R.I really love this place. Lots of beautiful things for those of us that have Maggie like tendencies!!! Lots of crystals, incense, beads, jewellery and you name it in New agey goodness.😅 the staff are really nice and there is ALWAYS a deal to be had. Nice for my four year old son to be able to fill a bag full of small pieces of quartz and other stones. Overall always a good experience to be in this hidden 'gem' (pun intended), it really is hidden away in a residential setting... Recommend to all that like pretty shiny things! Incedently, I believe that Hetties is the longest running crystal shop in Christchurch, but don't quote me on that. 😉 go check this place out.
S.This is a beautiful shop with many different kinds of gems, minerals, and other spiritual items. I spent a good hour looking inside and loved it. The person working there was very helpful, lovely and kind.
L.Only shop certified NZ made. A little pricey but a decent variety of stock. The wee info cards are only free if you purchase a crystal.

Cashmere shop is like a wee secret treasure trove! And the one in riverside market is like being in a candyshop!
Prices are reasonable and I always mange to find birthday presents or any presents here easy along with leaving with more than expected - buying for me too if I'm shopping for others!
I class myself as a collector now, it started at the tumble stones and now I'm into those goreous cabinets with all their beautiful crystals and stones. Perfect for the kids - I give the nieceys $6 as they have fill a bag for $5.95 an the kids love it! Or they choose their own crystals from the rest of the store (normally fill a bag after an hour of looking -great entertainment for them during theholidays!)
I've been to the one in queenstown and akaroa and just love coming back!

I now take my daughter to the shop.There are so many interesting gems, crystals and fossils from all around the world. The shop has a really nice atmosphere.

If your looking for a gift for someone you love then I recommend stoping in here and browsing the selection of gifts on offer. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and there's plenty of parking out the front.

A.We have been loyal customers for years and love the owner and all the amazing crystals and products in this shop. However unfortunately there is a new sales woman working who is very pushy with sales and also does not allow wholesale sales any longer. After sourcing all of my stones from Hetties for my jewellery. I am dissapointed in this new change as I wasn't notified.

I own a lovely rock shop in California (Los Angeles, to be exact) and after reading your blurb on 'fake stones' I think I might love you. If there's anyone out there just new to buying stones and starting the seductive journey of collecting, your advice on what to watch out for is valuable.
As happens when we're first starting out, the love of the journey many times out weighs the knowledge of what we're buying. I was sold "chromium quartz" clusters by a reputable retailer, only to later discover ever he had been duped by the market.
My store does sell the magical "trade-marked" stones, but only with a warning and only with the knowledge of what I geologically know about the stone being requested.
I've never figured out how ANYTHING produced by Mother Earth can have a trademark placed upon it.
Keep up the good work. And should I ever have the opportunity to visit New Zealand, I will make a special trip to visit your store.

S.Crystals, crystals everywhere! And the odd fossil, this place has been here forever and always the best place to go for crystals, staff knowledgeable and the owners are great and extremely helpful, this is a must and totally iconic to Christchurch.
A.I love Hetties. Have been going there for 36 years ever since Hettie ran the original shop. I prefer the Beckenham shop as its quiet, plenty of parking, and hasn't changed. Also, bonus, The Birdwood on the opposite corner you can get your caffeine fix.
