My PRECIOUS has arrived and I feel as happy as Gollum( now I understand him even better why he was so obsessed with this ring)As soon as I opened the beautiful box, it was there, staring at me. I couldn’t help but put it on my finger straight away. It just fitted like magic, so smooth and heavy feel. I’m talking about utter quality and craftsmanship here and it couldn’t get more original than this, your ring comes from Middle Earth.... Even the box that the ring is presented in is carved in elvish and so beautifully presented. Service from start to finish is tops and the whole process is worth every penny. My husband had my engagement ring created with lab diamonds and engraved in Elvish through Jens Hansen. After seeing what a spectacular job they did, I decided to get his wedding band through them as well and also had it engraved in Elvish (we are huge LOTR fans - our first conversation was about it!). I've wanted the One Ring for 19 years, since I was 6 and LotR first came out. I've had tungsten, silver, and gold plated versions throughout my life, but absolutely nothing compares to this solid gold version. It weighs 17 grams and feels so unbelievably heavy I understand why Frodo felt like collapsing under its weight. I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan and when I planned my trip to New Zealand I knew this was the perfect opportunity to order my ring and pick it up in person from the “original forgers.” From my initial phone call to Tanya, to my countless emails in between, to the long anticipated acquisition of my ring, the customer service was second to none. The owner, Halfdan Hansen, set aside time specifically for me to present me with my ring, to take some photos with me and to chat about the history of the family business. He even had the goldsmiths in the back make a slight adjustment to the size of my ring so that it fit perfectly! He obviously understands the importance of exceptional customer service which extended from him down through to his team members. The craftsmanship of my ring itself is exquisite! The sheer weight of it is impressive and the feel of the ring on my finger is so smooth. I chose to create my own poem for the beautiful Elvish inscription which made my ring even more unique and personal to me. I like the fact that the inscription is quite subtle and not immediately noticeable from a distance unless the light catches it at a certain angle. I feel as though that detail just adds to the allure of my ring. I've ordered two Replica Rings from Jens now, which I wear as my wedding band. I "outgrew" my first one, which was 18ct gold, and just recently ordered the replacement - in full 22ct (see attached photo.) In both cases the rings are TRULY spectacular. Everything I could have hoped for and more. LOTR is one of those pieces of fiction that shaped my childhood and these rings live up to every hope I had. They are identical to what you see in Peter Jackson's films. The shape, luster, finish, and the WEIGHT (really the most impressive part) of these rings makes them worth every penny. Should you get 22ct or 18ct? You definitely can tell the difference - the 22ct is an even deeper and richer hue of gold and I'm very glad I bought it... that said, the 18ct is spectacular as well and it's the one they used in the film! I designed my 21st Birthday Ring and Halfdan Hansen created it for me in silver with Aquamarines (my birthstone), and my name and an inspiring word, both in Elvish, engraved on it. I had my 21st birthday date engraved on the inside. It is simply stunning and exceeded all my expectations! We originally chose Jens Hansen for their work on Lord of the Rings and this meant there was connection with something me and my fiancé enjoy than just a high street retailer. All are fantastic and top quality of each material and workmanship (Lee-Anne helped with choosing the best material for each product and use). Price: Worth every penny. The only point I would offer to those who may think their gold, platinum and other precious metal products might be more expensive than other retailers is the Movie ring and similar are 2.7mm thick through the band (7mm wide). Any other retailer offering this size ring in the same material will in fact be very similarly priced. I immediately fell in love with the design and knew that when the time came this would be the ring I wanted. Hoping there was a way they could help get the ring to me before the 28th. I received a super fast reply from Sophie that complimented me on my proposal plans and told me there would be no problem getting the ring to me before the date. I was extremely happy at how easy they were to work with. A week later the ring came. To say I was impressed would not be doing the ring justice. Its perfect! From the engraving to the feel and weight of the ring. I was amazed. I'm writing this on the 26th and in 2 days I will ask her to marry me. I ordered the gold-plated tungsten carbide One Ring and the sterling silver chain Frodo wore the ring on. First off, the ring and chain are terrific--The ring has some nice heft to it (thanks to the density of tungsten carbide) and the Black Speech on ring is beautifully done. It's a great compromise for those who want a replica of the ring that looks/feels high quality, but doesn't break the bank. The chain is light and elegant, and goes really well with the ring; my wife loves the chain, too, and is already considering purchasing one of her own! While the craftsmanship is great, the thing that really sets Jens Hansen apart is the service you get. Shipping is extremely prompt, and it's very unusual (in my experience) to get the sort of personal attention that JH gives you, especially for being halfway around the world from me. Halfdan reached out to my parents initially (they ordered the ring as a present for me), and wanted to make sure the ring arrived okay, and that I was happy with it. I experienced the same thing with the chain; Halfdan is a great guy, and having someone reach out to you about what is an admittedly small order really makes it clear that they care about ALL their customers, and are very passionate about what they do. I must be honest, the ring looks absolutely beautiful, and this is the exact authentic replica (as said in the description) of the one ring use in the movie. Last week I finally "bit the bullet" and had a custom "replica ring" made for myself. 9ct rose gold(I think you call it red gold), 5mm with an inscription on the outside. We got the Elvish Love Ring Set in Platinum that has an Elvish Love Poem engraved on the outside of the rings. On the inside we added on the extra engraving package to get our names engraved (we chose the Kereru font, it looked the coolest, but they had a variety of font options). When they came in, we were very excited to see that they looked exactly like the previews/photos on the website looked. It was exactly what we had wanted and were expecting. The packaging was well done too, they were very secure (and aesthetic). We feel like we definitely got our money’s worth from this purchase. My partner and I received our rings 2 days ago (just two weeks after placing our order!) and we are positively ecstatic about them! When I had purchased the Bilbo ring in sterling silver as well as the Frodo chain to accompany it, I went in to this experience with what I expected from ordering something online: An email confirmation, eventually a tracking notification, and then delivery whenever. What started out as what I always expected soon turned into something incredibly special and eye opening. I used the company's chat function on their website to ask a quick question about shipping as I had purchased both the ring and chain in separate orders and was wondering if they would ship separately or together. Lee-Anne immediately responded and informed me(very kindly I might add) that they would be shipped separately as I paid shipping for both orders. Of course I wasn't angry I went in expecting this answer, I was only looking for a confirmation. What followed the next day was a slew of emails that genuinely surprised me. Lee-Anne emailed me directly and informed me that BOTH of my shipping costs had been refunded since my two orders(now combined) exceeded 200 dollars then my shipping was now free and they would be shipped together as one package. I was then followed up with multiple emails after that indicating when my ring would ship, where it was in the process, as well as an email after delivery asking for my opinion on the piece. Absolutely incredible service from these fine jewelers. Lee-Anne stayed in touch with me from the very moment I placed my order until the day the ring arrived, and she did everything that she could to make sure it got to me as fast as possible. The order I placed was for the 10 K solid gold Gollum ring (with runes) and I am absolutely astonished by it. It truly is an exact replica of the ring crafted by Sauron in the films (I have compared it to other replicas of the one ring and none so far have even come close to mine). So I'm getting married this coming October, and at the beginning of 2017, I was agonizing over what my wedding band was going to be. I saw a lot of different designs made of different metals, each vendor promising some quality about their rings that made theirs the one I'd treasure forever. After over a month of looking at numerous styles and designs, I finally decided that I just wanted a simple golden band, similar to what my father wears. As I began looking with this new idea in mind, I came across Jens Hansen's Studio through a Google search. Whereas before I had looked at a lot of different rings with a kind of "meh" feeling, seeing copies of The One on their website led to an idea that took root deep in my mind and wouldn't let go: getting my vows engraved upon my wedding band. With this addition to my current idea, I began a conversation with their Customer Support Team. Regarding Customer Support, there is not a team I have worked with that has provided warmer and crystal-clear guidance through the process of designing and creating a custom piece as the Jens Hansen team. Lee-Anne was the woman I communicated the most with, who was so patient at answering every one of my questions and ensuring that this Ring, much like my wife-to-be, was going to be the one I would be happy with for the rest of my life. They responded promptly (time-zone appropriate. If you're in the U.S., you will likely have an email waiting when you awaken) to each email I sent, and made sure to address every part of the commission process. Financing is fantastically flexible with this company. Initially, I was looking at a 9 carat ring, because I don't make much money doing Social Work. However, after re-examining the price differences between the 9 and 14 carat rings, I decided to go with the higher quality gold for the ring. Jens Hansen Studios will allow you to make partial payments via Paypal on whatever schedule works for you. They do require 25% of the total price for the ring in order to start crafting your ring, but they will send you pictures of your ring when it's completed, so that you know they've made it. Once I finished paying off my ring (last Saturday), they sent me a FedEx tracking number the day after. A Sunday. I know almost zero businesses that ship something out on a Sunday, but they told me pretty immediately that they'd be shipping out my ring. FedEx notified me that they would be delivering the ring on Thursday before noon. Now, FedEx did not follow through on the time (it took until 2:30 to deliver my ring, but it still arrived the day it was promised), but that is not a fault of this company, but rather FedEx's service as a courier. Finally, the ring itself. The ring comes with a certificate of authenticity, as well as additional literature about the jeweler's company (I honestly haven't looked through it all yet; I've been more fixated on the ring itself). The piece is gorgeous, the color is stunning and the shape is simple and very reminiscent of the Ring they're famous for. The engraving extremely fitting and elegant, tastefully lasered into the length of the Ring on the outside and inside, much like the One. I chose to have a synopsis of my vows engraved into the ring,, and looking at it reminds me of how serious I am about keeping this promise, a physical reminder. The ring has an authentic weight to it, a grounded note of quality of the piece, yet after it remains on your finger for a certain amount of time, it stops feeling cumbersome, as though it were meant to be worn. And this ring - much like my wife-to-be - is the perfect fit. Thank you, Jens Hansen Studios, for the amazing experience and this stunning ring. It is really a great replica to have, especially for the prize (99$ shipping not included ‘cause that depends) It’s heavy, very round, and really holds a shine, it’s said to hold for aprox. 2yrs but as a display piece it really should hold a bit over 2yrs at least, but they’re using ion plating and should hold a while. Everything just sold it for me, ones in my hands, the weight felt great, shine and how the light reflects off of it in that unique simple design. I felt like an idiot, ones my vision got my face reflection in focus after almost 15minutes of intense visual inspection of just “awww” I really recommend this product, if you are not sure if you should buy it, buy it!
