I purchased a pair of greenstone earrings for my daughters birthday and she loved it, the hooks are good quality and staff very helpful. Fast dispatch.

Amazing mahi by Tama and Aka at Moutain Jade. There is a story behind these pieces and their vision on what i had hoped for not only met but exceeded my expectations.

The original of the stores here in town, laid out like a beautiful jewelery store (with Air Conditioning!) and a free studio tour / viewing of the master carvers at work .... BUT they're not here on Saturdays! Darn. Still had a look inside which was educational with the help from the woman there who also was very personable and helped me to understand a lot

What a wonderful experience!! The entire team here made our tour something special that we will remember for life. The carvers took time out of their work to answer questions and be present with us - making us really feel valued and giving us a new respect for the art. The two sisters who guided us around and told us the story were both lovely - super kind and SUPER informative. Thank you all for your mahi <3

Thankyou Ian and team for the tour today. The opportunity to see such talented artist at work and to learn a little about ponamu/jade and learn a little more about our history was truly appreciated. Amazing experience will be recommending this to all and will be back.

Was a perfect ending to our holiday And my family and I were so overwhelmed about how many types of pounamu there is in the world I couldn't believe it and the way it used to be done traditional versus modern was amazing loved the tour absolutely will recommend to all family and friends to visit and take the tour.

I had a great shopping experience with this place. I went in looking for New Zealand sourced and crafted jade products and that is exactly what I received. The lovely lady behind the counter came out walked around with me explaining the different types of jade and where they are sourced from. She also explained the meanings behind each design. I managed to find the perfect piece for myself and a gift for my sister. Also, being able to see the workshop in action out the back of the store was really very cool. The prices are worth the quality of the goods.

Friendly service, very knowledgeable. Grateful that we were advised that the pieces in the store had not yet been blessed, which is very important to know in the maori culture! Variety of ponamu. Great location. However I found alot of the pieces were over priced which is why I gave 4 stars. Have been to a few ponamu stores in my life & found this store/brand to be one of the most expensive. Would recommend to do research on line before purchasing a piece from this store.

It has been over a year since my mother and I visited Mountain Jade (myself for the second time) and I still wear my pounamu every day! We are from the U.S., and Nicolla helped us to find the perfect pounamu necklaces in such a fun and spiritual way, she is the best! The entire store is beautiful and clean and the pieces are well displayed. I have since ordered a few items from their store and shipped internationally and the parcels always arrive in a timely manner and the items are safe and sound. I absolutely cannot wait to come back and visit again!

The sales representative Ian was very helpful and patient with us. He shared with us very informative info about New Zealand jade and the artists. We had an enjoyable time there and picked some gifts for our loved ones there. The selection there is huge, compared to the store at the airport. It was worth a visit.

Great experience. Learned plenty about the history and significance of NZ jade. Chose some pieces that we will treasure for ever. Our friendly sales assistant Ian went above and beyond to help us out. Thanks!

Great service. The staff seemed very knowledgeable when it came to the jade and their artists. They also clearly highlighted the local jade from the foreign jade, which many jade shops do not. We felt very comfortable buying from Mountain Jade and would highly recommend.

Amazing above and beyond customer service.! Excellent craftsmanship !!! I sent a neckless for rebind . The communication thru out was beyond my expectations and the work was very affordable. The Mountain Jade team went out of their way to make my small commission important and special. Their selection of beautifully crafted items are amazing and their website is stunning and so informative. The MJ Team also helped me identify the jade that was used in my piece which I bought 16 years ago while on vacation in NZ. Going forward, if I need a special gift I will look no further, but to Mountain Jade for anything beautifully crafted out of NZ greenstone and jade.

Great tour of jade carving (although carvers weren't there unfortunately). Very helpful shop staff. Not at all pushy. Very good at responding to any request. Really demonstrate their passion for the carvers and the taonga (treasures being created.

Beautiful art work, and it's nice to read about the artists to see where they come from and what their angle is. Ian was very friendly and knowledgable.

I was there right before the covid outbreak and happened to meet the sales woman,the Artists and a beautiful manager it was a great experience I bought some awesome pieces and can't wait until I can travel again.

We did the tour. I enjoyed seeing how pounamu is carved into beautiful pieces of jewellery and art.

One of the Carver's explained the importance of the stone. Staff was very attentive and helpful.
