I got great service on 3 different occasions buying from them. My first experience of the The Village Goldsmith was buying a present for a special birthday for my wife. They re-created a pendant that had sold out of on their Online catalogue for me. As I had left it a little late, they were unable to make it in time for the big day, so they printed a beautiful card with a message for my wife that I could give her on the day. The pendant was even better than I imagined, was presented in a beautiful wooden box, with a adjustable gold chain. I couldn't have been happier, and my wife just loves it as well...

Friendly service, quality work, beautiful selection. Even though I only had a small job I wanted done - a security chain on a gold bracelet that had belonged to my mother - I was treated by the staff as though I were buying a diamond ring. I also came in a while ago to ask if some leaf that I had was real gold leaf, and one of the goldsmiths was friendly and accommodating and checked this out for me. I had a great experience. Me and my partner came to wellington just for one day back in may, and I got this wonderful sunflower necklace there. You can get great jewelry on a budget! The morning before we had to leave the city, my necklace broke as soon as I put it on (which def happens sometimes, it’s life) , I rushed to the store and they repaired it in their shop straight away, and ever since, my necklace has been solid, i have been wearing it almost every day. Definitely do not be intimidated by how great the store look. There is a product for every budget and every style there and the people are lovely. When we come back I will visit again!
