Pinehaven Playcentre is located on Forrest Rd beside Pinehaven School and the Pinehaven Community Hall. It is generally open 9am-11.30am week-days during the school term. It offers a large outdoor play area with established shade trees, fort, sandpit and meadow. Children are encouraged to explore and learn new skills through free-play supported by adults. Activities can include: music, dress up, painting, messy play, baking, carpentry, crafts, collage, water, and sand. Thursday session combines all of the above with a focus on Te Reo Maori. This is explored through activities such as waiata and kanikani (song and dance). It’s a friendly and positive environment for children and families. Come and visit, no appointment necessary, just pop in and introduce yourself and your child/ren to the team-leader.
