Was served by a lovely lady called Bernadette at your store last week. Bernadette was very approachable and showed a wealth of knowledge for the planting that I required. The store was tidy and clean. Will definitely make this my local from now on as the whole trip was very pleasant. I appreciated such good service, it's very far and few between nowadays. Thank you to your staff and management for being "normal" and thoughtful to customers who are mask exempt!. As a avid gardener, now teaching my daughter the joys of gardening, i appreciate being able to go out and see other peoples smiling faces. Its a joy. So pleased I found this place. Easy to get to as it is not near any busy roads. Great range of plants at reasonable prices and staff that are interested in helping everyone. Beautiful displays in the shop with wonderful gift ideas and parking at the door.

Awesome variety of plants, and the staff have always been super helpful! However, I’m very concerned about the goldfish that is being kept outside. It is in horrible condition, its tail is covered in fin rot and it appears to have popeye. Extremely sad to see.

I love shopping at Oderings Philpotts Road because it is large and well laid out, almost like a walk around the gardens. The plants are always a good size and of high quality. The staff are very helpful and know what they are talking about. Altogether its a very enjoyable shopping experience ☺

Great value plants and selection, a reasonable supply considering its last day of long weekend for Christchurch. Fresh stocks arriving daily. Plenty of staff out and about assisting people with enquiries

Been here twice. First time I was told palm tree's don't grow in the south island so had to purchase them elsewhere. Was quite an awkward experience. Second time I purchased a nice selection of plants, nice condition and fair priced. The issue is on both occasions I've not felt welcome at the store. Almost like an inconvenience. Not free to take time and browse at my own leisure. "can I help you?" almost translates as "what do you want?"
