Good selection of plants etc. Staff very helpful if you approach them, however as I am shy at times it would have been nice for someone to ask if I needed any help. I was looking for a shrub that would be frost tolerant, but I survive summer highs of at least 42 deg celcius and would grow in a shaded area. But I didn't ask in the end as I had wasted too much time looking for a plant by myself with no success. Beautiful plants and enjoyed walking around.

So much choice, no matter what you're looking for. A massive range of plants and the biggest selection of water features i have ever seen in one place. Awesome customer rewards program also!

Perfect place to buy both indoor and outdoor plants in Rotorua. The selections are pricey but are of good quality. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Will definitely come back to shop for more plants here.

Palmer's staff are always so lovely and helpful whenever I got in but I can't post 5 stars solely due to the cafe, although I love that I can take my pet there, the amount of options for vegan and gluten-free are little to none, drinks are your best option

The sales girl told us they didnt want to be doing dishes til 5 o'clock. 'We' were 2 people requesting one piece of cake each. There were no other customers.

Visited today with elderly neighbour. We were able to use their wheelchair. the cafe had a great choice of hot and cold food. Cakes as well. We purchased some plants after asking advice from an employee who was happy to chat. Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking and a shppers toilet in the cade.

Beautiful selection of plants, pots and decor. I would have given 5 stars but I've been served by the same cashier my last 2 visits; she has the most standoffish, can't be bothered attitude I've ever experienced from a cashier. Both times she had no smile, no greeting when I said hi. When I asked if I could sign up/get a reward card, she said "yeah" with a tired sigh. This made me not want to sign up with her so I said "do you think I could do it online instead?" She said "ahhh I don't know... probably." The next time I go back, I will be refusing to be served by her.

Always had pleasant experiences at Palmer's Rotorua. Majority of staff are friendly, polite and more than happy to share their plant knowledge with you. A wide range of plants on offer - some products are a little on the pricier side, but you are paying for quality - no need to bring plants back from the dead. The Palmers Rewards system seems very worthwhile. Also a nice range of gifts and knickknacks in the shop and a good cafe within.

a week or so ago i had big plans for transplanting various grasses and a flax from one side of the house to another. called in to palmers for some advise and oh dear, it wasnt what i wanted to hear so was initially a bit bummed out. The lovely Lisa came to my rescue after informing me that it was the completely wrong season to do this and took me by the hand and showed me so many options and i bought lots of lovely interim plants. i am now savvy on how and when to move these others and am so inspired. Cant wait till mid winter but am enjoying my new purchases. thankyou lisa for your honesty, warmth and caring nature.
