M.This was a week of bliss. A beautiful restful place.
We had the place to ourselves mostly as it was between owners.
The open Spa was neat, with birds flying around and a glass or two.
The whole set up just made it so easy to relax, yet restaurants and wineries were just 15-30 mins away.
We did all the Gimlett Gravels vineyards and others in the week.
There was a foodie thing on in Havelock North which was a great showcase of local wine and food. It created a nice buzz and everyone was so friendly.
We mostly ate out lunch and dinner as we were on holiday, but had breakfast when we got up in the morning.
The grass courtyard with outside covered braai space was great in the mornings. We couldn’t get over the birdlife. Brilliant and restful.
There are some interesting bits with sculptures and small walks to go and sit with a book and drink.
Like little rooms created within the garden with just another view around the corner.
The manicured grounds were pleasing and it was a pity it was just the 2 of us in one way. The pond and duck were a constant joy, sitting in the large chairs with a pinot gris one afternoon was a treat.
As with a group of 10 (5 rooms), sharing the big breakfast room and the outside braai space would have been really lekker.
The new owner was planning a pool so it will be even better.
We intend to come back the both us but also with a party too.

A.Our family of 13 spent the holiday weekend (Oct 20th) at St Andrews Escape-it was amazing, a little paradise hidden away at the end of a beautiful driveway. Everything was perfect from the warm welcome from Mandy and Cedric, to the exquisiteness of the gardens and park like facilities. The communal kitchen facility was so well set out and comfortable with lovely furniture and a cosy wood burner. We didn't want to leave. Mandy and Cedric are so generous with their time and kindness. Thanks and we will be back! Alice 10/10
W.Exceptional in every way. The accommodation, grounds, location, breakfasts and facilities were amazing. We were fortunate to have such great weather as well so were able to enjoy the outdoor ambience one evening. John you are a truly superb host. Thank you.
J.Marvelous place in the middle of bird watchers paradise. Very beautiful gardens ponts etc. Quite, nice rooms. Great staf. Like to come back as soon as possible
L.Lovely place. Hosts great. Only thing to add would be to ask for a non slip mat in shower as it was quite slippy.
