Reviews of Te Pātikitiki Community Library
L.The library is a lovely little community library with a good children's area and nappy changing facilities.
It is a small library so if you are looking for a particular book it would be best to check online first, but it's great for a casual browse.
There is usually a sale table which is a great way to pick up an ex-rental book or DVD for a couple of dollars.
Outside is a nice little playground with a bigger one just across the playing fields towards Pioneer Highway. The playground was really let down by the Touch Rugby players and supporters from the night before that had left rubbish everywhere including dirty nappies *yuck* that I had to pick up before my kids could play safely.
K.This is a real community hub, with a welcoming atmosphere, loads of comfy places to be, and a kitchen that you are welcome to use. There are regular activities for young and old. It's coordinated with the City Libraries, so if you are ever desperate for a specific book, you can have it brought to your local and held for you if it's not on the shelves. Wonderful customer service, and a real family feel. It's right by a playground and the park.
