The selection of wine and spirits is one of the best that I have seen in a long time and all at very reasonable prices. The owner is friendly and knows his products so his recommendations are meaningful. Overall a great experience

I love this place. If you like trying different wines from all over the world then this is the place for you. Your local liquor land this ain't. Prices range from cheap to very expensive but all interesting options. A wine shop owned by wine enthusiasts.

Love this shop, such a great range of Wines and Spirits. The layout of the shop makes it easy to navigate your way around and the staff are amazing very friendly and helpful. The prices range depending on what you are looking for. Most definitely recommend this place and we keep going back even during lockdown (via online shopping).

A marvelous selection of local & exotic wines, spirits, beer, cheese.....and even chocolate/crisps to boot! Promised myself I'll be stopping by after strolling by the street on my first night in town. Started off as a casual purchase after brunch which ended up being a good half-day conversation with Connal(Mr. Finlay himself). Trust me. True vino fanatics will feel like a kid in a candy store!

What a place! The range of high end and quality spirits, whiskeys, rums and wines mashes this boutique alcohol a must visit for anyone in the city. Martin has a great depth knowledge so provides pragmatic advice on gift choices and the likes, making the experience very satisfying.

Martin is an absolute LEGEND! I highly recommend this place! I’m based in the US and Martin helped me secure a bottle of South African liquor he had in the store as Christmas present for a family member also based in the US. He was in contact every step of the way, from ordering, shipping, checking on the status of the delivery, etc. He is simply the BEST! I can’t say enough good things!

Great selection of NZ and international wines. The proprietor was very knowledgeable and after hearing wines I like, gave me suggestions of NZ wines that I would likely enjoy. I picked up some bottles of the wineries that I wouldn't be able to visit on this trip and the recommendations were spot on. I also had a list of wineries that are along my path for this trip and would be stopping at.

I am so impressed by the knowledge of wines and wine regions around the world that these guys have. I just have to name a wine I have enjoyed overseas or locally and they can either source it or match to my taste. A wonderful range of wines and spirits has finally become accessible in Auckland. Probably the best selection of wine (and a growing range of liqueur from what I understand) in the central city. Super friendly and knowledgeable as well - I walked in with a vague idea of what I was looking for and what food I wanted to have it with and ended up with a wine from a grape I had never heard about, that a) tastes amazeballs, b) went with my food incredibly well and c) cost $5 less than what I thought I would have to spend. What's not to love?

Stopped in and had a great experience on our hunt for international gin. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and charming gentleman. Clearly passionate about these spirits and a wonderful shop. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Shout out many thanks to Cahn & Finlay for helping us choose our adventures out on Waiheke Island. We stopped in their store our first afternoon in Auckland looking for a wine to take back to our hotel. They have a nice selection of NZ wines as well as other countries. Also spirits from around the world. We asked where to go for our weekend and were pointed to Waiheke Island and a couple of vineyards there. Thank you so much - we had a great time!
