Excellent option. Having lunch by the vineyard is pretty special. We were a group of 10 celebrating the end of the year. They had several groups in different areas, a very busy day. However, the crew managed very well to serve us. We all enjoyed food, beers, wine, an awesome selection of ciders and the atmosphere. Definitely worth it.

We were a group of 10 for a wine tasting. Shona was so great - answered all our questions, didn't rush us at all, and was super engaging. We could see how passionate she was about what she does. We thought the tasting for $7.50 was a steal and the cheese and bread platters were amazing! Totally recommend.

I can't speak highly enough of this place. We did the wine tasting, and had a meal. The Vinyard owner was just so passionate about presenting his wines to us - he had us captivated. We tasted six wines for $7.50 nz per person, which we thought was very reasonable and the food was exceptional.

Their attention to customer service is outstanding. We had the Lamb cutlets and the Pork belly both done perfectly. The wine tasting was a pleasure complimented by an informative spiel about the wines and the grapes.. The wines are very reasonably priced. We are definitely pleased we choose to go there.

The tasting session with David was awesome! I enjoyed most of the wines on offer, and my partner enjoyed it too as it was his first experience at a winery. We loved the vibe of the place from our first visit, so went back the next day for lunch. We really enjoyed our mains and dessert, but the cheese platter was fairly average for the price, if I'm being honest. Overall, lovely staff, ambience and wine/food. Thanks David and Shona. :)

Always the best spot to taste the local wines. Host will receive you with a warm welcome and the wines are to die for!!!! Got stuck in that beautiful Rose we brought back 2 years ago with nice bbq porky. Thanks Bushmere, mad it all better!!!

We visited Bushmere Estate for tasting and lunch and had a truly unforgettable experience. Shona, one of the owners, made us feel as if we were the only people in the world, as she delightfully shared her vast knowledge of the business, the land, the vines, and of course the wines. We appreciate a good wine, but are certainly no connoisseurs, but that did not matter - we were both entertained and educated. The Italians (a nicely balanced 'homely' 2015 red blend of Italian grapes) and the 2015 Reserve Gewurztraminer were both highlights for us (and were purchased to enjoy again at a later date). Then the lunch, which was superb. A beautiful setting, lovely staff, delivering excellent service and outstanding food. The gnocchi in particular (perfectly prepared with wild mushrooms, in a creamy white wine sauce) was unforgettable.

Lovely lunch (had the bread and dips to start, then roast beef open sammy and fish of the day) and wine tastings. Really enjoyed the Malbec/Merlot combo, the Gewurztraminer and the Amelia Sparkling Pinot Gris which we bought to take home to enjoy again later. Good, friendly service. Beautiful surroundings. Also dog friendly which was a bonus :-) Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a wine tasting with friendly and knowledgeable people. Returned the next day for lunch at the nieyard restaurant. They were extremely busy but our waitress warned us in advance that food would be delayed. It was was worth waiting for though. The meals were deliciodly tasty and the dessert divine. Highly recommend Bushmere Estate- definitely worth a visit when you're in Gisborne.

Good wines, wonderful lady telling us about them. Was a little surprised to still be charged $7.50 each for a tasting after buying 6 bottles of wine. The wines were reduced so maybe a reason.

Anything I say won't be able to do our experience justice. Everything was amazing, the staff, the food, the experience, the wine. I drank Gewurztraminer which was really good. I sate salmon, they were kind enough to make it as a main. Delicious. But my favorites were the raviolis. who knew that they could be so delicious? And the prices were reasonable. 12 for Focaccia with dips, 34 for main, 8 per glass of wine, 14 for penna cotta wıth espresso ice cream and mascarpone.

Wow!!! This was by far the best wine tasting I have ever enjoyed! Wine makers were very knowledgeable and provided the perfect accompaniments for each wine. The dessert wine and chocolate at the end was divine!! If you're in Gisborne, Bushmere is a must! Thank you so so much for your hospitality!

(Translated) The landscape of the vineyard is spectacular, showing a high level of management. The restaurant is very good, even if you don't come to try the wine, it is definitely worth it to come for a dinner. The market fish and steak are amazing, especially the steak sauce is very style, the mushrooms inside are very juicy. We ordered 12.00NZ to try 5 wines, and later bought a pinot gris with a lighter taste and rich fruit aroma.
