Lovely little winery in Riwaka you don't wanna miss out! We enjoyed the Blush and Chardonnay very much! Very friendly owners too. Would definitely recommend to everyone and we would visit again whenever we come to Riwaka.

Riwaka River Estate represents the very best of New Zealand wine and hospitality. Paul and Amber have created something truly special here — the wine is world-class, the surrounds are beautiful, and they were a joy to spend time with. I recommend anyone visiting the Nelson region to put a visit here at the top of their list!

This small winery offers great wines with real character. The wines have both intensity of fruit and depth. Limestone soils give the wines an extra dimension. Complex sauvignon blanc and Pinot noir from the vineyard just behind the house. Very friendly owners.

Lovely Chardonay and Blush I bought a bottle of each....and I did it again........

Great selection of wines from their vineyard! The chardonnay is unlike any other. Paul and Amber are lovely, and the property is gorgeous. Definitely stop by here and pick up some wine!!

Dropped in for a tasting, friendly and inviting.
The 2018 chardonnay has a distinct french style and an intensity of fruit and depth that was unexpected.
Looking forward to a few years in the cellar it should be outstanding.

Quaint little family run vineyard with delicious wine. Paul the owner was incredibly friendly and informative. The wines were a real treasure. I’m not a Chardonnay fan but their 2014 completely changed my mind. Not overly oaky, well balanced, one of new favourites!

Lovely little intimate winery. They only make 3 types of wine but each one is great. Even the Chardonnay, which is a wine I detested, was tasty. They showed us the vines and explained their growing process. Visit it and make sure you have some money as you will buy.

Beautiful small winery close to Abel Tasman. Amber was very nice and we got to taste three of their wines. It was more personal unlike the big vineyards where it's all in a big group. Lovely stop after a day at abel Tasman, strongly recommended!

My wife and I stopped in today and picked up a bottle of wine, the owner was extremely friendly and informative. You can tell this gentleman puts a lot of heart into his business. This is by far the best wine I’ve had since arriving in New Zealand!

Beautiful little winery and nice and quiet. Our hostess was so nice and also gave us a brief tour of the vines. Really loved the Chardonnay. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful visit to Riwaka River Estate - Paul and Amber were very welcoming and it was super interesting to talk to them about their vines, wines, and philosophy on what they do, as well as tasting their great wines. Strongly recommend, thanks both!!

This was my favourite winery in all of New Zealand. With production at less than 5000 bottles, this winery is a one family show. We learned so much about viticulture and the yearly growing conditions. This winery also produces olive oil and has a natural spring on the property.

Be sure to stop by and show your support for a family owned Estate. The vineyard caught our eye while coming down from the Abel Tasman. The family estate is just wonderful and the wines show that each step in the process is taken with care. We tasted the Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir. Each maintaining beautiful quality, aged like a true fine wine. The estate itself was welcoming as well as the owner. Good priced wines - a must go!

Nice welcome. Really enjoyed the 2017 chardonnay which is like a chablis with gentle oak notes. The sauvignon blanc is a fine example of the variety.

On our travels we've covered lots of Nelson and Malborough wineries however the appeal of something more boutique and considered saw us head to Riwaka River Estate on our way to The Resurgence - which River Estates wines are suitably named after. Welcomed at the small cellar door by the informative owner, and wine science entrepreneur, we were immediately captivated by his comprehensive coverage of not only the wines we were tasting, but the vines and lifecycle of the three varietals growing on the estate.
The wines themselves were clever, complex and would rival many in the region, if not NZ. Looking forward to adding to our collection and returning next year while on holiday in Kateri. Don't miss Riwaka River Estate!

Lovely place with great wines and great hosts. The Rose and Chardonnay are our favorites. Thanks Paul and Amber for having us.

Lovely wines, tasty olive oil, beautiful land and kind hosts! I highly recommend a stop at this small, family-run winery.

The 2015 Chardonnay is exquisite. Interestingly enough came across it again the same day at Hardy St Eatery in Nelson, so I'm not the only one that agrees!

A beautiful little private vinery with a great selection of vines. My son and myself purchased a bottle of vine for my cousin Julie. 😀
