D.There’s nothing better than a drive out to Gibbston Valley to visit some of the fantastic wineries and more importantly their cellar doors. Pride of place, for me especially, has to be Valli. Having had a long appreciation for the wine, it’s wonderful to be able to drop by and taste the wines, purchase some and enjoy a friendly chat with the charming Valli family. They’re a lovely bunch - pun intended! Always welcoming, always smiling and above all else, ready to pour! Perfecto!
N.Valli is truly a wonderful vineyard and the quality of their wines is always top class. It's been one of the earliest producers of wine in Central Otago and this depth is really evident when you taste their wines. Owner Grant and highly acclaimed wine maker Jen Parr are both truly devoted to producing some amazing wines. Personal favourites are their Pinot Noirs and Pinot Gris and we look forward to every vintage released. A tasting across the road at Kinross Cellar door is always a great experience and even better if you manage to get a tasting with Valli Sales Manager Hollis, a true wine connoisseur and a fabulous hostess. Most certainly worth a taste!
A.I always know any Valli wine I open is going to be 100% delicious and impeccable quality. Simply, the team at Valli believe in quality and expression of place. Each of their wines talks about where it comes from. The whole Valli team is so passionate and genuine, it’s easy to see this comes through in the wines. Valli tell the story of each year with their wines so well.
Every person I’ve recommended a Valli wine to has enjoyed it, for four years as Sommelier at Eichardt’s on the lakefront I’d say that’s good going!
A.It’s evident when tasting Valli’s pinot noir why it has been prized as best in the world! I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet winemakers Grant, one of the original and most brilliant winemakers in the region, and Jen, whose worldwide experience has been poured into her craft. Their passion for producing such impressive wines is such an inspiration! You don’t want to miss out on enjoying the product of their talent and expertise!
R.Living in Central Otago we have so many wineries and winemakers to choose from so it is a tough contest. I first tried Valli Pinot Noir at a local restaurant and I was blown away. I got in touch with Valli and joined the loyalty club (10% off which is sweet!) Current favourite is Bannockburn Pinot 2018. Highly recommend!!

Bookings by appointment but don’t let that put you off, the history, stories and fantastic personalities that see this wine held in high regard, and the wine, well....what a dynamic range from Waitaki, Bendigo, Bannockburn AND Gibbston! Spoiled for choice and we are left wanting more!! Taste sensations and true representations of fabulous NZ wine. Also very thankful of their export knowledge and posting some very welcomed gifts to friends in Australia, NZ and the US too! Simply world class! Thank you to the whole team.... I’ll most definitely be back!!

J.Fabulous! Valli has encapsulated the essence of Central Otago and Waitaki terroirs. You will never forget these wines. Fantastic Pinot Noirs, Rieslings and Chadonnay! And last but not least, the people behind the label are truly special! Way to go Grant, Hollis, Nicole and Jen!
T.I have been privileged to try valli wines on many different occasions as well at Kinross which is a must visit when in Gibbston. They are one I will always seek out when out to dinner or having friends over. When we talk about premium central Otago Pinot Noir this it it!
C.Fantastic wines. Bannockburn 2018 is my favourite. The Real Mcoy is also a great wine. Best orange wine I’ve tasted!!
