M.Just back from Regional Wines where I received excellent service!
Wanted a special rum & Stefan went to the trouble to find a recipe on line for me to be sure I was getting the right product - thank you so much for your extra effort - very appreciated! Great selection of liquors and a real specialty shop for the hard-to-find. 5-Star all the way!

A.Best bottle store in the city. Maybe country? Maybe world! Do you like sour beer? I do. So does Regional Wines. They label the sours in the vast kaleidoscopic beer chiller. To make it easy for the fiends like me to seize upon our saliva gland-assaulting heroes.

T.Staff were very helpful and informative. This place has had a really good history of really good wines and spirits. We went there as we had one wine we wanted and thought they would have it, which they did. There critique of the different Gins was spot on, and as a result we purchased a rather nice bottle of this.

Wine might be more expensive than the supermarket offering but there is a lot more variety and you get service, recomandations and tastings sometimes so you got that going. No tasting on the tap beers do to covid but I was told they'll get back to that at lvl 1.

A.Best liquor store in Wellington. They do themselves a disservice calling it regional "wines". There's an amazing beer fridge, ever-changing taps and great selection of spirits too.
S.Regional Wines & Spirits stock by far the biggest selection of pinot noir in the region. Matt the main buyer has a brilliant palate. In general the wines available from Sav Blanc to Shiraz, Chardonnay etc are excellent. All the staff are exceptionally helpful. Some of the staff get to taste a lot of the wines for sale. Imperative in my opinion. The craft beer selection is excellent. Finns got that well under control. The wine tasting sessions on site a great and regular. Some free. Some not. I highly recommend a Regional Wines & Spirits. A tasting is onsite most days. Some exceptional wines are available to try. These people know wines.

They run excellent tastings of some fun drinks.
Make sure you have a designated driver. You're going to need one.

R.Great off-license. Lots of beers in bottle, plus a load of taps for taking out fresh beer. Staff are friendly and willing to advise. Wine selection looks very good but TBH I didn't look long at that side of the shop.
Weekly wine tastings and other regular events just top it off.
M.Probably the best wine shop in Wellington! They have a lot of great wines, you will definitely find something special. Wines are categorised by styles and regions, which is very handy, and people there could give you some good advice as well.

P.Definitely Wellington's best bottle store. And one of the few, if only place, in town that stocks Hungarian pálinka. While not a big wine drinker, it has a fantastic selection too.

P.I found this had a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Not the cheapest but not expensive. About $1 to $2 more than other liquor outlets for a bottle of spirits. Would say this is slightly more upmarket than the competition.
