My regular visits to Bamboo Spa are part of my self care as a social worker. If I’ve had a big week, I go and visit the spa, and I can feel the stress dissolving in that hour! The girls there are all great, but my favourite is Menchie, she just gets the pressure perfect for my liking! Such amazing value for money too!

I was treated by Gayle and she was wonderful and made sure I was happy with the service throughout. I paid $10 extra for deep pressure and it was worth it - so good! We took advantage of the January special of $65 each for a couples massage and it was great (normally $110). Had banana leaves and not cupping. Wanted a hour and a half massage but they could only do an hour. Parking was fine for a Sunday but could be tricky other days as had to pay for street parking. It is through a side door next to hotel entrance.

I opted for the hard massage and it's exactly what I wanted and needed! Menchi (from the Kilmore St. branch) was my masseuse and she was exceptional! She really knew what she was doing. I had really deep muscle knots and she really focused on getting rid of them...and still managed to give a full body massage. 1 hour well spent...and to think this was a last minute booking on a public holiday. Can't say enough praises for Menchi... definitely recommend her! Very happy with this session 🙂

After having our original booking cancelled due to reasons I'm not going into, the Manager made up for it to us. We went the other day and it was THE BEST massage either me or my wife have ever had. The only bad thing was when I realized that the massage was going to be over soon and I'd have to stop relaxing lol. Definitely going back.

Best massage ever!!! Me and my husband have had massages before in Chinatown in boston, but they were pathetic compared to this! Mang-Chi and Julie used such good pressure and knew the knots and right techniques to alleviate muscle tightness and leave us super relaxed. Ended off with a hot cup of ginger tea too! We would recommend anyone coming to Christchurch to come here for a massage!

They always communicate well to ensure pressure is ok during massage and that you are comfortable. Would highly recommend to try out, will be going again and looking forward to next massage

The only thing I didn't like was what they used on their hands before touching my head it smelled like nail varnish remover and was so strong, im assuming that it was to remove the oil from their hands other than that fabulous i would absolutely recommend and I will be back first massage i have actually enjoyed.

I visited here a few weeks ago for the first time and loved it. I had a foot soak before I was taken through which was really nice. The massage area was small but no issue, the masseuse checked the pressure and responded well to me asking when I wanted more. So relaxing I almost fell asleep! I will definitely be returning soon. Once you step inside you're in another world. The massages are excellent, and they don't waste your time. Whether you're going regularly, for a special treat, or even as a couple/group they are a perfect choice. As for the cupping, I recommend that you try it unless you have a bruising disorder. Cupping always leaves marks, but it also enhances the massage. If you don't do the cupping, they still apply moderate heat to the same spots, but no suction - it's a great alternative. If you're a nervous person you can even organise a booking through Facebook message! I go here regularly, as I can't beat their service, quality, and price.

Absolutely love Bamboo Spa Christchurch! The service is amazing, they always ask if the pressure is okay and it always is on point! I crave the ginger tea that they offer afterwards and finally I got to purchase my own tea to take home - although it's not the same as having it at their place since I miss out on a good massage. I tried the cupping last round and it was amazing, wasn't sure what to expect but super happy I tried it out. I will definitely have it again. Wouldn't go anywhere else now, I love that we get to soak our feet before hand. I love that it's low lighting and cosy, very relaxing and I cannot wait to try out the newest Bamboo Spa in Christchurch. I will be booking my husband and myself this time as he misses out normally as I got during the week and love it! Thank you lovely ladies for being so friendly, welcoming, and caring! That knot in my shoulder disappeared and I didn't realise how bad it was until the lovely lady was working on that area and pinnngg gone! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Can't recommend highly enough! Done a couples massage with my self-conscious husband and they were super discreet and respectful with the whole situation. Massage was amazing, ladies were awesome! HIGHLY recommend (plus we stayed in the hotel there so super convenient for us)

Loved every minute of it. The spa was like going back to the Philippines or Bali for a holiday with a professional twist and the friendly ladies knew their massage techniques. I had a hilot massage two days in a row by two different massage therapist, but both times I could not fault anything. The smell, the curtained off massage rooms, the masseuse, the therapy itself and then finishing off with the most divine tastebuds hitting tea. Perfect. I will be back. Thank you.

I have been to bamboo spa many times and I am always satisfied. Some areas I wish more time was spent on but always walk out feeling great 😁 They have added more rooms which leaves less space and makes the atmosphere a bit cluttered. Removed the massage chairs with foot spa and replaced with buckets. But once you are lying on that table all is forgotten 😁 great therapists. Perfect pressure every time.

Queenie will work on random knots etc. She regularly checks to see if you are ok and will maintain a comfortable environment. I had been given a voucher for a 60 minute massage as a gift. I could choose between 3 options and went for the Hilot full body massage. My voucher had actually expired a week before, but they allowed me to use the cost of the voucher towards the massage, so I only paid $15! I got great customer service form Kharel, who answered all my questions and took my booking via email; quick and helpful responses. The massage itself was wonderful. Grace, the beauty therapist, was fantastic; great communication and skill, really thorough. I was late, so she must have had to hurry through to keep her next appointment, but it didn't feel rushed at all, and I was left to leave in my own time. The massage included coconut oil, banana leaves and a tasty ginger tea at the end. The spa was clean, relaxing and very well presented. I left feeling dreamy and pampered. I highly recommend it!

Friendly and efficent check in process. My therapist was great, listened to me regarding the pressure level I wanted and maintained it through out the whole massage. The ONLY downside was the partitioning of the space next to you, its via a curtain so if the person nextdoor is loud it takes away from the ambience.

I have not been for many massages but Bamboo Spa recommended by a friend. They have great discounts available at times so highly recommended liking their Facebook page! I was a little unsure of the procedure but they made me and my partner feel right at home. 5🌟

Went for pedi and massage, pedi in massage chair that didn’t work, and next to door to kitchen area which staff left open with washing machine running full noise (ironically next to sign on wall asking for quiet please!) massage good but awkward as changing area next to table wasn’t private, could see out curtain to reception desk! Also other people in room through curtains getting massages, bit odd. When I left had to go back to kitchen to find someone so I could pay and go and then the lady asking about extra payment for another massage which I didn’t understand and was not explained. The staff member I had was awesome though, happy and kind. This place needs an urgent upgrade with emphasis on privacy and peace

I enjoyed the massage so much, the pressure was just right and I felt so good afterwards. Giving it 4 stars because of the environment, the rooms are too dark (red paint) and feel like there is no privacy as you are very close to the customers next door.

A little different to my experience in Auckland considering they are a 'chain'. I missed having the foot bath that the branch in Henderson does. My massage was pretty good, although I did ask a few times for a little bit stronger. I have a further voucher so will see :)

First thoughts were 'what have I paid for' after a while I was invited into the massage room and I have to say it was an amazing massage. Front area could do with new equipment or better quality then my review would be 5 stars.

Saw an ad on Facebook for a couples massage with a special price ($88 at the time) for an hour. Booked it through Facebook which made it super easy, and when the day rolled around we went in the atmosphere was wonderful, it was super peaceful and the soundtrack that was playing really enhanced the experience. The massage therapists only spoke when asking about pressure, and the service was fantastic. As we left they showed us some more deals they had if we wanted to return which were also amazingly priced.

All is well with the setting, kindness of the workers and the mood. But there is one thing. The staff speak in their mother tongue and laugh a lot during the massage which can be very unrelaxing because you subconsciously start thinking are they laughing/talking about me or not. That's my only thing to suggest that should change please.
