Marina's pregnancy yoga classes are more than just your standard yoga class. Her amazing knowledge, experience and wisdom in all things pregnancy, birth and the power of feminine energy are all intertwined into her classes where I learn something new every week. In her classes I find the specialized poses she teaches to prepare us for birth and help our changing bodies along the way beyond helpful in my pregnancy journey. She offers a very holistic yoga practice incorporating mind, body, spirit - very empowering! Did I mention she does the best pregnancy massages also! Could not recommend her enough.

Cannot recommend Marina highly enough. Her expertise and recommendations for all things pregnancy and labour are fantastic. I have attended her pregnancy yoga classes, her birth prep class and had a pregnancy massage. A must do for any North Canterbury Mum, Marina educates and leaves your empowered for the journey ahead! Thank you 🙏🏾

I met Marina towards the end of my pregnancy for some amazing pregnancy massages and also attended her birth skills session. She is very very knowledgeable and experienced in these departments. Her pregnancy massage is just bliss and was customized to my specific needs, aches, pains, injuries.
Birth skills class was fantastic also, demonstrating and practicing a wide variety of positions and massage pressure point techniques for pain management during labour which we used successfully during labour. Thanks Marina 🙂

I have attended Marina's pregnancy yoga classes and a birth skills course which I found both very valuable! She has an excellent knowledge base and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Yoga was very relaxing and we came away from birth skills course with some useful tools we look forward to putting to practice!

Marina is really great and experienced teacher and therapist.
I have just done a Pregnancy and Postnatal massage course for Massage Therapists.
I learn lots of new technics and become more comfortable with pregnancy massage and this main reason why I chose to trust Marina.
She has many, many years of experience and she just knows how to give you 100% of her knowledge and help you get better with your massage carrier.
Definitely recomended.

Recently I attended the pregnancy and post natal massage course with Marina, I came away feeling a lot more confident and learnt some great techniques. Marina is an amazing teacher with an incredible amount of knowledge that she loves to share.

I stayed at Peppers Christchurch Clearwater Resort and booked a massage through the hotel front desk. They called in Marina. What a fantastic massage! It was exactly what I needed, and I felt very comfortable with Marina. She's also very interesting, and can teach all sorts of things about the body and health. She's dedicated and passionate about these things. I highly recommend her.

My partner and I recently went to see Marina for body work. Right from the beginning of reaching out to her, Marina was very clear, communicative, and so easy to connect with. She has incredible knowledge of the body; the anatomical and intuitive sort. She also has a special gift for giving attention to detail. These small, but very special touches really elevate her “massage” to a spiritual adjustment as well. She was incredible, honestly. We both couldn’t recommend Marina more.

Although I've only had 4 massages from Marina Locke I've felt positive results from each one. Since I have numerous medical issues her willingness to travel out to our remote rural neighborhood has been a real life saver and on the days of my appointments I don't have to rush around in traffic, all tense and stressed, to run in and get all relaxed and then immediately ruin that state of being driving over an hour to get home on the busy roads.
Instead I can float home, the whole 5 minutes away from where she sets up her massage table, and remain calm and collected, which usually lasts until the next week's massage. Since one of my problems is a degenerative spine, I suffer from chronic pain every day aided and abetted from my fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and lupus--even just doing nothing. So to increase my mobility and attend to these conditions and a few more I've wanted to find a masseuse that can effectively handle these challenges and that's when Marina showed up at my nearest neighbor's estate to help the community by coming all the way out here, thus saving us from the long round trip. What has surprised me the most is that she seems to know exactly how to massage my sore body to get phenomenally therapeutic results. Even the exercises she explains to me every week have already strengthened my core substantially in such a short time and they're pretty straightforward to do, which makes it easier to actually find the self-discipline to do them every day. In the past I've been fortunate to have had scheduled massages in my adult life by real pros who came regularly to my house to help me through different physical complications and I must say that as I've gotten older my spinal problems have worsened, along with a rather stressful heart condition. This year I've needed a more health oriented professional to help me get through this endless pain cycle and come out on the other side--peaceful, stronger, more active and sane. Marina's yoga background is an added bonus to her repertoire as a massage therapist. She's so knowledgeable and switched on to the intricacies involved in healing and has real focus for each individual's needs and shows genuine concern for each client. She's also very easy to talk to and very objective. I already consider her a friend and she's already taught me how important my breathing is, both inhalations and exhalations and how that affects the efficacy of the exercises. Just before meeting her I'd been attempting to get into a pain clinic at a Christchurch hospital, where I'd spent a month out of a two month stint laid up with a severely broken leg. But now, after a few weeks of Marina's treatments, I'm really reconsidering that, since I'm already feeling so much better and it seems I'm getting my old self back with her help. I give her top recommendations as a massage therapist and a caring healer.

I've had several pregnancy massages with Marina through my second and third trimesters. She's not only a very good massage therapist, but also has a wealth of knowledge around pregnancy and birth, thanks to her experience as a yoga teacher and doula. Highly recommend!

I recently went to a yoga retreat with Marina up at Boyle River and am so very glad I went. The whole weekend was amazing! Absolutely stunning drive up and back with snow capped mountains and beautiful valleys through Lewis Pass. About 7 hours of yoga and meditation all up spread over two days. Marina is extremely experienced and ensures people at all levels are catered for. I have a back injury and she tailored all the sessions to suit me. I felt like I was in good hands. Marina also gave me a therapeutic massage after we visited the Maruia hot pools. The Boyle River outdoor education centre is a quiet, peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful hills. We were even treated with a light snowfall in the evening! It was a nice small group and everyone got along well. Plus we all brought food to share - yummy veggie curries and home made bread. I loved it!

I have been seeing Marina as a massage therapist for about 3 years. Today I learned that she knows how to do cupping. I knew about cupping, however this was my first experience and it provided relief for some issues I had. Marina is a real pleasure to see because she has a wide knowledge base and experience and is willing to use this information for the betterment of her clients. Definitely worth going to.

Totally relaxed is how I feel at the end of massages by Marina. She is personal, good communicator. She has a huge amount of knowledge about the human body. Definitely recommend her fantastic massages!

Marina does a great massage. She can provide a mix of a number of techniques and has helped me through a challanging recovery from a fairly serious injury. She is also great to just maintainance type massages. I have had quite a few massages and Marina's are the best.

I have found the pregnancy yoga classes wonderful! Marina is a fantastic instructor and a very experienced doula who assists with any questions about pregnancy and labour. Class sizes are small and you receive a very personal experience. Thanks Marina!

I came along not knowing what to expect, and it ended up being one of the best things I have ever done in my life. What an incredible experience. Marina and Kavita were amazing mentors the whole way through, helped along by breathtaking scenery, delicious food and super comfortable lodging. Very happy I found out about the Shambhala retreat centre - a truly magical place.

Had a great massage the other day. My neck was very sore and I was having the odd dizzy spell. Doctor thought it might be a virus. Once I had the massage centered around the neck with cupping the neck is much better no dizzy spells. So no virus. Have had massages regularly with Marina. Just gets the spot and sorts any aches and pains. This is the person to help you.

Marina was very helpful at showing excerises to help a range of foot problems, encourageing you to work at these a home.I recommend her to use her if you have any issue as I am sure she would be most helpful.
