GREAT staff! Every one is passionate at what they do from osteopathy, acupuncture to massage. I recommended many people to this clinic and all of them had only positive feedback. I have been going to this place for some time, and I have seen different osteopaths (for availabilities, or last minute emergencies). I was happy with every one of them, however I do try to stick to my usual osteopath Sebastian. We works wonders. His approach is very comprehensive yet so gentle.. The receptionists Cathy & Lisa are lovely and caring.

Totally recommend seeing Janine Nana, the acupuncturist at City Osteopaths. Really helped with my sciatica, enabled me to travel comfortably back to Auckland, as I had real trouble sitting. Totally professional but also empathetic, she explains everything as she goes about getting you comfortable and helping you through your issues.

I've been going to Nikki regularly for massage for a couple of years now and she helps keep me going so the tensions of large work projects don't overwhelm me with back, neck and shoulder pain. Nikki is highly skilled, flexible with bookings, very friendly, empathetic and keeps a very clean and inviting environment. I would recommend her 100% for pain and stress relief.

I HIGHLY recommend Venla , she took the time to find out what my ailments were. After only 2 sessions with her I felt like a completely different person. I had pain in my entire body for months and just assumed that it was related to ageing/menopause. By the time that I had gotten to see Venla, I had not been sleeping well for months, I was constantly tired, and the pain in my joints was unbearable. I liked how she was always keen to answer any questions that I had, while providing some really great advice and tips. Venla you are simply Amazing at what you do. The service with Melanie was professional and caring. My son was given a full assessment following a biking accident, which resulted in facial injuries and a sore upper body.. I've been going to City Osteopaths for years now and would highly reccomend. Rhianna and Andrew are two osteopaths in particular who have been assisting my recovery from a long-term weakness, pain, and discomfort in my knee that had been taking a mental toll as well. Rhianna is so warm and welcoming and always made me feel at ease with her gentle approach and her ability to share information with me about what the underlying causes could be, and explaining why she was taking the steps she did. Andrew has provided the perfect balance of seriousness and humor, and his wide knowledge has lead to me reccomending him to friends and some of their family. His experience as a personal trainer is really obvious as he has given me clear workout plans that now see me recovering at great speed and taking more control over my own recovery. What has really made Andrew stand out was his ability to address and help me cope with the mental aspects of long-term pain that were inhibiting both my life and the speed of my recovery. He provided non-physical tasks to do from home that really increased my awareness of my relationship to my body and injury in ways that helped reduce the negative impact the injury was having on me.

The diagnosis of Osteoporosis with pretty dreadful awful back pain led me on the search for an Alexander Technique teacher some ten months ago. I couldn't have been more fortunate than I have been to have found the skilled, compassionate practice of Suryagita Cox. Her healing hands, teaching methods and her patient kindness has enabled me to get movement, strength and confidence back that I felt was lost. Its great that City Osteopaths supports the Alexander Technique . It has been a game changer for me and I'm hugely grateful. I suffered a whiplash concussion and started going to Melanie to help with neck pain and eye pain. She also focused on calming my nervous system which has been amazing. She updates my OT on how I am doing and what she is working on so they can collaborate and help me recover. After having a concussion it is hard to pick someone trust worthy to treat you but melanie is very knowledgeable and has been a huge help throughout my recovery.

A huge thank you Melanie for your treatment on Saturday! I hobbled in feeling stiff, sore all over and a bit hopeless about my knee recovering the flexion and mobility I had prior to surgery. Thankfully, I walked out from your treatment feeling aligned and connected from head to foot and my body wasn’t carrying the painful tension I had when I arrived. I slept most of the afternoon and took things quietly again on Sunday, continuing to ice, elevate and rest between activities. On Monday my knee had freed up a lot more and I was able to bend it without it feeling hard jammed. I could walk a bit more naturally and my body felt relaxed as I moved. This lifted my spirits and gave me hope that I would regain the mobility I had before. Yay, thank you! VJ

I have suffered from migraines for 20+ years trying every solution under the sun. All medications recommended by a neurologist with no improvement. Removed all medications and saw the wonderful Janine for acupuncture twice a week for 6 weeks and I am currently 12+ weeks migraine free. Longest period in over 2 years. Over the past 4 years, since moving to Wellington from the UK, I have found Melanie Young at City Osteopaths in Breaker bay and the City to have an incredibly positive impact on my overall health, injuries and general sense of well-being. Most recently, after a car accident, my knee and ankle were so sore I couldn't easily do my job as a yoga instructor, my lower back had been problematic since having my children. With regular treatments and advice on exercises to do at home, I am now back to 100% good health and haven't felt this well in years! I'd like to share my experience of City Osteopaths - Melanie Young is incredible - her skill and healing hands helped me feel well again after years of chronic digestive issues including reflux and constant nausea. She taught me osteopathy is about so much more than backs! She also helped me after a fall which twisted my spine and left me winded. I had two sessions and was good as new. In trying to protect an injury to my thigh I ended up with an incredibly painful lower back. This was in the lead up to Christmas so I wasn't expecting any kind of availability for an appointment, however what I got was an incredibly helpful response and an appointment for the time between Christmas and New Year. I had a few days to wait before my appointment so I was given some phone advice about some gentle movements I could do to try and keep some mobility while being cautious of the thigh injury and as theyhadn't seen me yet. Considering my regular Osteo had suggested I try "ringing around" as they were closed (to be fair, everyone needs a break at some point), and not being an existing customer at City Osteo, I cried in relief when I got off the phone. I had thought I was going to be left stranded in pain for 2 weeks minimum and what I got was such good advice and an appointment. I'll be going back to City Osteo in future. They're conveniently located, helpful and really good at what they do. In 2 appointments I'm now fully functional and have some exercises I can do to improve strength and movement moving forward. Can't recommend highly enough!

I went to Janine for fertility acupuncture, after suffering two very upsetting miscarriages this year at the age of 32. She was so supportive, calming, sympathetic and positive throughout the whole process. She is also very knowledgeable about the appropriate vitamins to take and suggested I take a dose of Vitamin D to the level of 4000 IUs. She also looked at the vitamins I was already taking and suggested the correct doses and ensured I was not taking too much of one vitamin. They have a great supply of quality pre-natal vitamins at the clinic. I always looked forward to my sessions and would get a feeling of absolute euphoria afterwards, to the point that I had smile so large, it was frozen on my face! After my sessions, I am so excited to announce that I am at the end of my 20th week of pregnancy with a healthy and very active baby girl. The most wonderful feeling in the world. I will be returning to Janine when I am ready to conceive my second child. Thank you so much!!
