I've been to the Rub twice - I've had two great massage experiences here - the first was a gifted whole body oil massage and the second a walk-in (texted in advance) oil shoulder, neck and head massage. The masseuse was professional and friendly and applied great pressure. Looks clean and they were taking covid precautions. The only thing is they try to get joints to do a little click while massaging but I'm used to it now. I left feeling relaxed and pampered.

Consistently good, and often very flexible with times. Everyone seems to have consistent training as well as all the massages are of the same quality. The therapists always check in to see how the pressure is. Nice quiet environment too.

Awesome shoulder and neck massage. Feels so good and they used the elbow to get out the knots. Recommended.

Great massage today 29.6.20.. Friendly staff, my masseuse had nice firm pressure when I needed it but always knowing when to back off, she checked twice the pressure was okay for me. Bed was comfortable. No appointment needed, I was lucky to be seen straight away but that's the chance you take with walk in massages. Only down side was todays music choice and hearing everyone outside the shop, while your trying to relax, be nice if they played something tranquil, calming rather that todays pop. And having a open barrier at the entrance to block some of the noise. Otherwise great would return.

Wonderful. I didn't have an appointment. A group of 3 of us all had the full massage and reflexology. It was wonderful, relaxing possibly the best massage I have had. Only thing that could have made it better would be the room temprature. But the automatic doors open when people walk past so this is probably quite difficult. Brilliant service would definitely recommend!

The massage I had was great and the masseuse was brilliant too. No chitchat apart from checking the pressure with me which was exactly what I wanted, unfortunately, there's no rooms just curtains so you can hear other chitchat, less desired. The manager prefer customers to use oil and longer massages. I understand from a business perspective but customers should be able to choose what they are after freely with the same treatment. Even though masseuses were doing nothing standing at the reception, the manager will tell you that you need to book for a quick sit down massage in advance and come back later. While the same massage with oil you can just walk in and have it right away. I felt pressured into buying at this place that was what 3 stars was for.

I had two massages here - a sit down shoulder, neck and head massage and a lie down whole body oil massage. The first was excellent and the second OK but not brilliant. However the Rub is easily accessible on Willis St so is worth a visit.

I love having a visit here when I come to Wellington from Blenheim. They give a great massage & if you get Rub card you get discounts 😄

I've been for a few massages here. Excellent service. They check how much pressure the client is happy with. Very reasonable rates and friendly. Relaxed but also efficient and many staff.

I was regularly visiting the rub for their fantastic massages, however due to their recent MASSIVE 20% increase, making a 60 minute massage cost $120, I will not longer be visiting.

Great affordable massages! These guys use decent pressure and know how to help those with tense muscles. It's a bit annoying that they are almost alwats booked and can't drop in. If you do drop in there will be no one there to great you as they will be off performing a massage.

I loved my massage so much! I'd definitely recommend this place. And the ladies are super friendly.

I have tried a range of massage places in Wellington and in terms of he quick neck and shoulders the Rub provides the best balance between the super cheap places up around Cuba and the higher end. Decent price and consistently good massage.

Was an ok massage, pleasant customer service but didn't quite tackle any of the knots in my shoulders, ended up causing more pain in the few days afterwards. I unfortunately wont be back despite it's convenient location.

Highly recommend for a high quality massage in a nice environment with little fuss. I thoroughly enjoyed my 20 min neck and shoulder massage with Trishna. She was excellent! Thank you
