P. L.We had a team from Easy Movers [ contracted to Auckland Movers ] load and pack up our home from Auckland to Papamoa. The main driver PIC called me a few days before hand to run through some questions, which was good preparation. They arrived on time and their work ethic was very very good. My son and I helped where we could however all the heavy and larger items were packed by them. They certainly knew what they were doing and at now time did we feel rushed or pushed for time
We also had off site storage unit which was unloaded onto truck after our home and the team were fantastic with space on truck vs packing additional storage items and they were in & out within really good time frame
Sam from Auckland Movers was easy to deal with and overall experience was good. I did mention to Auckland Movers we had home & storage unit. The initial quoted hours was under quoted due to storage unit however we were fully aware at the time
The PIC from Easy Movers made it clear as we left the storage unit and considering distance to new city and time to unload that we would need to pay for overnight transit so he and his team could stay overnight and return following day, which is totally understandable and we were happy to pay for the service
The team were unloading the truck in same work ethic as loading and it took less time to unload vs packing and fortunately we had double garage access to new home so they were placing all the bedding & large furniture + appliances straight to where they needed to go. Plus they helped lift our BBQ over the fence as side access was not wide enough
Had we known that there would have been an additional charge we would have arranged packing one day and moving the next. This would have helped us as well with cleaning home before we left. Some advice to people planning on moving to new city ... Don't try and do the move in the same day! It's just too much
Overall experience was very good. Although this is an Auckland Movers 'review' it is more aligned to the actual moving company and the team on the day

They're quick and efficient, and check to make sure things are where I want them. They also take care of fragile and delicate items, making sure they're secure in the truck, and are careful when bringing them inside.
Having also had my belongings in storage with Auckland Movers, I was impressed that everything came out clean and in good shape after several months.
Definitely recommend, great price, great service, and have never let me down.

They organised a pick up at short notice of 42 King Single Beds and delivered them to 3 different addresses from one side of Auckland to the other, even when the number of deliveries and addresses kept changing. S.Was easy to get a quote and book, communication was great. The only downfall was that I booked for 8am and the movers were running late and arrived 45mins later. But they came and loaded the truck in no more than 20mins and it was all go! Things arrived at the location in the same condition as they left and they were a pretty nice bunch of movers too. Made the moving experience a breeze :)
S. S.The movers worked very hard to move my thing satisfactorily - despite rain and Covid borders in place. The truck that was sent, however, was not big enough and they had to do a second load, resulting in more work for them and a higher bill for me.

H. T.I had requested a 3-man team, initially 2 men showed up, I asked about the third, he arrived 1 hr later (this was reflected in their invoice/charges)
they were efficient and managed to do the all the move out/move in within the expected time frame (total of4 hrs), other than a small tear in one of the mattresses, everything else made it unharmed/undamaged. however when it came to doing the final calculation and generating the invoice, they tried to charge me 4.5hrs plus the call out fee (claiming it was company policy) when I refused to pay for the additional 0.5hrs they tried to give me different explanations which did not entice confident in their "company policy" I tried calling the company but this was already after 6 so no one picked up.
after sticking to my position and refusing to pay the extra 0.5 they agreed to invoice for the actual time only which was 4hrs.
S.These men were excellent. They were very friendly, responsive and made the whole shift process easy. The team we had were lovely guys and dud and excellent job. I’d use them again any time.

P.We booked Auckland Movers for our move yesterday, the guys were 2.5hrs late which was initially annoying as we waited around for quite some time HOWEVER we did get excellent customer service from Hamish who kept us up to date with when our movers were arriving and also offered a nice discount for the late arrival. The 2 guys (Tama and T), were excellent! Really great, friendly and funny guys who made our move incredibly easy from start to finish. They were careful with our belongings and made sure furniture was wrapped in blankets carefully. Serious kudos to these two! Overall really happy with Auckland Movers and their service, would definitely recommend :)

The storage facility is simply amazing as all the work was done for me. I did not need to find my own storage and go through that hassle. They were on time for three seperate moves with great staff who took great care of our belongings.We also stored all of our belongings with Auckland Movers for six months at very reasonable rates and it was all made easy as this was where their offices are.Adam and Nicolette are there to help make this some what stressful time a lot less so.My wife and I highly recommend Auckland Movers to anyone who needs a removal company of the highest quality.
