U.Today We were given the privilege to be invited to the Toroa for a personal Tour by a couple of gentlemen Gordon and Robert, to see the progress and share it with the world and other new Zealanders, alot of works been done but they seriously need the help of donations to keep pushing this project forward, visit there website for better info.
I.Despite what it looks like from the outside, and immense amount of work has been done rebuilding this historic ferry from the inside out. Virtually all the steel work inside the hull has been replaced with brand new steel which will allow the work on the Hull timber to occur in due course.
S.I drive past nearly every work day. Slow progress, bit of an eyesore.
