Nice walk to. About 3km loop trail. Kids 6 and 9 were fine.

We really enjoyed the experience of going up the port hills on the chairlift. Price was good. If you are planning on going as a sightseer I strongly reccommend not going on the weekend. We found the lack of safe zones for walking from furtherest carparks to ticket office and returning to carpark quite dangerous as the mountain bikers just went where ever they wanted and at high speeds.

a must do adventure Chris and Rebecca were amazing guides... I have a fear of heights and they made me feel comfortable enough to do the longest zip line in NZ!!

Amazing trails... easy to rent bike and gear. Bikes of very good quality. Did the easy a couple of times and then onto intermediate ... a real buzz Did the zip lines in the morning. Group of staff were excellent... efficient... and entertaining too

Visited at the start of 2020 and will definitely back next time I'm in Christchurch. The mountainbike tracks are great fun and the shuttle lift makes a huge difference to how many runs you can get in. Equipment hire and lift passes were reasonably priced.

Love this place, has a unique atmosphere which is unrivaled in Christchurch. Large venue, wide variety of drinks and a great food menu 😋

Absolutely amazing park staff are friendly and love what they do. The place has a fantastic atmosphere and there is a good variety of trails. Somewhere I hope to frequent.

Such an amazing little oasis. My prior conception of the park was that it would be way more macho but there were people of all ages and abilities weaving through the complex. Look forward to seeing the cafe and facilities soon. Our kids loved the little kids track.

We went sightseeing today and the weather and view was lovely. We were lucky to be on two for one Tuesday. The only downside is not enough instructions and signs for those who want to go back walking down the hill especially at the end of the track.

I did the Zipline tour, really good value for money with four ziplines included in the price. When you compare it to other Ziplines, that are smaller and slower it's a bargain. Good guides who do a fantastic job and take safely first, constantly checking and double checking your harness. I like that they have tried to limit their disturbance of the forest, the only concrete is on the bases on the supports, all the landing pads are compacted rocks. Nice cafe with a decent range of food at a good price. The only downside was that the online booking wasn't working for the zipline, I was lucky it was a quite day, I wouldn't want to risk it once this place becomes more popular. A few benches at the zipline waiting areas would be welcome also.

Biased because I used to work here. Staff is great, attractions are fun, but that's not why I'm here writing this review. This pizza did it. This is the Charizard of pizzas. You will never find anything cooler, powerful, and delicious. I thought I'd get standard paper thin crust pizza that hasn't known love. Boy was I wrong. Highly recommend the pepperoni pizza to everyone regardless of interest in biking or ziplines. Come get this pizza.

Hard out riding the tracks is basically on my bucket list, since I can’t risk injury while playing professional rugby. But I have a passion for trying new things and I could see myself getting hooked on mountain biking. The park has so many amazing trails. When I look at it, I see endless fun. Such an amazing place. I had visited the cafe in the past and was impressed. I recently was bought a DH mountain bike apprentice course and a zip line tour for my birthday. The apprentice course was such good value the instructor was highly skilled and really friendly. I finally learnt what I had been lacking in technique while having heaps of fun. The zip line tour was great fun and again I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Such a fun dayi

Great walk up the hill, great views and fantastic ride back down. Was quite muddy this day. Lots of walkers and runners, couples and families.

A fantastic resource with some great tracks. If you're willing to put in the work to get up the hill, then all available for free!

We went up just to sight see and it was awesome. The biking and ziplining looked awesome, after seeing them all we wished we had more time there to do that too!

Fantastic place. Great trails. Lovely friendly staff. Yummy food at reasonable prices. Lovely coffee. Great scenery. Brilliant chairlift. At $10 a run reasonably priced too. Got a puncture on one of my first runs and was about to call it a day rather than pay over inflated prices at Park but was amazed to find same price as in city so hats off for not price gouging. Only downsides I've found are not open on Mondays (my day off) and food goes very quickly in cafe but without doubt best thing to do in Chch and a fine example of a well run business 😊

Zipline was full (pays to book in advance) so opted for the chairlift. Very smooth with great view. Great seeing many families and friends enjoying themselves on the bike trails. I am pleased we chose this instead of the gondola, I would definitely come again. Price wise very good.

I really love this place and have been going there pretty consistently for the last eight months. The only issue I have is the mountain bike track maintenance. The majority of the blue trails a.k.a. the most popular trails have got considerably worse as I have been going. Even the trails to get to the other trails are really cut up and hard work for anyone who is still learning. I understand the unfortunate issues with the exposed tracks where the fire took out the trees, however the tracks under the trees on the far side need to be looked after as compared to other mountain bike parks around Nz they are in pretty average condition. It’s a dam shame! This place would be 5 out of 5 If they had the manpower to keep the track maintenance up to date. I really hope they can find the resources to sort this issue out as I have heard the same complaint from a lot of people who are getting over it.

As a bike park, they have a great base area with a bike wash station, many bike racks, big and easy to read trail maps, free skills zone and a pump track. The lift prices are not cheap, but not a rip off. They do offer many options such as a 5,10 and all day pass. Depending on how long you are riding for (go see their website) Also they have good food There are trails for everyone. There is a small loop at the bottom for little kids. Then up the chairlift there are beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert trails. Go to the trees for more flowy blue trails as the ones in the open are quite bumpy. The trail crew are forever expanding the network and give you many options to choose from including jump trails like “name this trail” and gnarly ones like “throw the goat”

Fantastic! Family of 4 - teenagers really enjoyed the amazing zipline- full credit to the instructors as well- sight seeing up the chair lift for the adults was cool, overall it was awesome- great facilities all round- Well done to everyone involved. Will recommend it to everyone.

We've used the MTB Park a few times, really enjoy it, runs for everyone. The exposed tracks can be dusty, and the popular tracks have "brake bumps" Good bike wash, tools on the stands are a little old and the free air pump needs a new head. Customers be VERY CAREFUL and count your runs, we "lost" a run by double tapping, CAP replaced it but it can take a while.

Exhilarating! Went on this with my 11 and 13 year olds, who loved it. Scary to start until you experience, and trust, the braking system.

I thought it was fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I’m 70 and I would do it again. The health and safety aspect was excellent. We had 4 instructors and only 5 of us did it. One person Pulled out, so be sure you want to go.

I'll give it five stars for being a four star mountain bike park so close to town. If they had more money to spend on the trails, I'd easily give it a gold star (if that was a thing).

We aren't mountain bikers but went to check this out as general visitors, and had a fantastic time. Chair lift to the top with amazing views and great watching all the bikes zip down the hills going over jumps and around the dusty corners. If you aren't biking you can do an easy chair lift round trip, then have lunch at the excellent cafe. Overall a fantastic setup!

UPDATE: Tracks are running great in winter. Also, I rate the workshop staff very highly - my rear shock had become stuck on the bottom end of the stroke (just come back from the bike shop too) so the guys there had a decent look at it and after I tested it on the drop offs at the practice area, it was good to go. I was even offered a rental bike so my arvo wasn't a complete write-off, that's generosity you don't find often! Love this place. As an e-MTB rider, it's great that they now allow these bikes (factory e-MTBs) up the chairlift! Great range of blue trails, which is what I'm most familiar with - have to rate Name This Trail as my favourite! Did the zip line as well, that's a real blast, highly recommend it. Cafe is awesome and the whole place is pumping on the weekends!

Walked up to the top and got the chairlift down, the cafe was great as well.

My wife and I have ridden here on many occasions and we love it, the trails get "brake rutted" on the corners, but it's popular so you can expect a bit of that between any trail maintenance / repair work, but it's not neglected by any means, in fact Name this trail had recently been upgraded on our last visit (mid October 2020) Very good facilities, including great bike wash area, but tools on the trail stands are old, and the free air point needs a new head. We did have a issue with the scanning of our multi passes, double scanning is possible so be VERY CAREFUL as lifties and guest services can't sort that, it takes a day or two for customer service to help on that issue.

Great walk even in horrid winds today. Walked up and back. Pity about the cafe food though. Everything was fatty and full of sugar. A lot more healthy food is very much needed in a place like this. Heard many people comment on lack of better options.

Nice variation of trails, however most of the trails are poorly maintained with massive ruts and braking bumps present. Be prepared for your bike to receive a beating! Uplift prices are also quite expensive if your looking to go riding for a day

I'm an absolute beginner and I just got back from an apprentice lesson. The instructors were great. Very patient and encouraging! I thoroughly enjoyed the chair lift ride and the trail down was achievable (even though I walked a few bits :) ).

Awesome space and great attraction. The kids can ride and meet you at the decent sized cafe. Only zip lines and Mountain bike tracks for now awesome light in summer to very late and winter well the valley gets the sun in the evening. Plenty of parking unless there is an event on and recovering well after the fires. Go check it out an easy chairlift to the top and you pick how hard you want to go down be wary of the 7 year olds they are fast and still bounce!

Amazing place for biking for all abilities, it may be a little costly but you can drop off at summit road and bike down for free. The food in the cafe is delicious and it is an excellent place to relax after biking. I prefer the blue tracks as they are quite fast but the choice is yours. With so many tracks anything can happen. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes biking.

After a few years of riding in in the park I had a lesson today with John who was very quick to see where I could improve and provided me with some great advice. I have been given work-ons to practise and will be back for more coaching.

Fun day out, even when it was rainy. Looking forward to more tracks opening. Give yourself time in the cafe, quite slow!

Fantastic day out! I’ve been putting it off until I had some mates to join me on the first day (didn’t want to look like a newbie on my own) but now wish I’d made more of an effort to do the bike rides. The facilities and staff support were all superb. Will be back soon!

Was my first time at the bike park, we hired a protective gear package as we already had two bikes to share between three people. A staff member gladly gave us another bike to use for free so that we all could ride together. Excellent service!! Super friendly staff!! 5 stars!!!

Incredible, so good, the Zipline experience. A total bargain, highly recommend

What a great place! Spent the morning here with whanau and our two boys doing the youth lessons. We hired all their gear and to see their faces beaming when they finished was awesome. While they were at their lesson we hung out at the cafe and went up on the chair lift for a look. Great atmosphere we will definitely be back.

Great variety of trails but many are brutal conditions on some tracks. You want your bike running in top condition to survive the beating it will take...

All fun and games till you come off!!

I purhased a package and spent the full day here! As a first time biker and first time zip liner, I really appreciated the clear instructions and guidance along the way. The day started with a downhill mountain bike lesson. The first half hour was spent on the flat getting a handle on turning, braking and learning what not to do. We then took the chairlift up and made our way down the beginner track. We did the run down in patches - with the trainer explaining the next patch of track and possible tricky parts to prepare us. Once we got to the bottom of the track, we had a small break before meeting for our next lesson on ziplining. This was my favourite part! We rode to the top of the chairlift then ziplined our way to the ground. This was done in several parts, with some short walks in between to the next line. The view from each line was incredible - full views of the city and sea below. I would highly recommend getting a package and experiencing all that the park has to offer. So worth the money.

This bike parks is very good they do mtb rentals and have heaps of trails.

Good place to hang out with the kids, bike tracks, pump track, trampoline, fairy doors and a decent cafe

Was told it was perfect for kids of all ages to do the walking paths but it was not at all suitable for toddlers. Beautiful place for a nature bath.

They have Drop-off only but no pick up only Parking. Very disappointed because I would of liked to pick up the people I drop off.

Amazing views and lovely staff we went ziplining and I was terrified at the top but they guides were lovely and were so chill about the whole thing and are super professional. Highly recommend even if you are nervous it's great (also recommend renting the GoPro it's it first condition and they can help if you don't know what to do)

Great. I took visiting friends from overseas here. I had not been myself and thought it would be a good excuse to go. I should have gone months ago! Dont wait, do it now. Awesome place. Great simple to use chair lift. A bit expensive and limited ticket options for infrequent users but a good day out.

Great setup, easy bike and gear hire , great trails for all abilities, chair lift ride to top is fast and easy.

The $130 pricetag per head did not feel justified for spending 2.5 hours on four ziplines, but our zipline instructors, Lauren and Bilaj, were amazing! They were very well-trained and easy to chat with. Overall, it was a very calm experience occasionally punctuated by thrilling moments (ie. the zipline bit).

Truely epic place to bike and/or zip line or just sightsee. Less than 15mins drive from the CBD. Cafe has exceptionally better food than any other ski/bike resorts and they also pump out a big range of tastey craft beers. Also has a great deck to relax on with views of the bike trails. A must for any visiting tourists!!!

I took our 5 and 6 year olds up the chairlift just for the ride while rest of our group did the zipline tour. The chairlift alone was great for the littles. Then we sat on the café balcony and watched little people on the pump track and big people coming down off the hills. Totally inspired us all and we will be back. Amazing to watch every age and fitness level having something exciting to do in such beautiful surroundings. And the rest of the group thought the zipline tour was "AWESOME."

Great place to ride with friends you get to meet new people and trails are super fun one thing i will say is handal the jandal needs hella maintenance its your most popular trail and the quality of it is really sad the braking bumps on the burms are horrid but still great place

This place's lit and the bike trails are awesome. I don't have time to play other facilities but all I can say is riding mountain bike there is the best👍🏻

Loved it staff were all fantastic.

Park is well set up, however having the 10 lift pass expire in 3mths instead of the 12mths as it was previously is off putting for some out of towners as our group are unlikely to visit again over winter. We will just do shuttle runs via the road next visit. The option of a shared pass or extend the pass expiry if purchased over the winter period would be good.

Trails dusty but not as blown out as I had expected. Cafe still doesn't have a hazy IPA but it was chilly so passed up the post ride suds.

The newer blue tracks through the trees like gung ho, drain pipe and captain torpedo are great. And afterwards sitting on the deck and food selection was good

The few negative comments here make me luagh.This bike park is one the best things to happen for christchurch. Me and my mates love it! Food at the bar awesome, tracks awesome.good staff very friendly. If you've never been check it out.

Staff treated us well. The mountain tracks were a bit washed out from the rain, causing a bumpy ride, but the jumps were amazing, especially with one of their downhill bikes.

Went there for the walking tracks. The new one is advertised as ooen but is not, so a bit tricky. Enjoyed the usual walk though and cafe are coping well with Covid restrictions.

Always a blast and helpful staff!

A top play area for those that enjoy mtb thrills... loved the chair bike lift... Beats sweating it out to the top

Great place my wee girl hurt her leg on a run and was amazingly looked after by the medics. Probably if your wanting to use the chairlifts don’t bother getting there till 9:30 not much happening before then.

Just did a downhill lesson here with Mel - fantastic! She could explain concepts and demonstrate skills in a way that was easy to grasp. The views from the chairlift and the track are more than worth the money.

a great walk up, but it is a pity that it is not open earlier in the summer months..The sun in this country is too vicious to be out in the middle of the day, when it would be much more pleasant and better for ones health to be able to walk and bike it from 0700hrs in the Summer months

Two grandsons had a most amazing time on the Zip lines today. Congratulations on a very safe, good value for the money and professionally handled experience. They will be back!!

We walked up to the top and back down then relaxed at the restaurant over the best beer I have had for some time. Fantastic place that will only improve when the trees grow back.

Back up here for the first time since the Fire.For me personally,i didn't mind not having any tree cover,found it good on seeing quicker peeps who were coming down behind me.I'm no expert,but found the intermediate trails more than capable fun for me.Service was good all round.Look forward too using up the rest of my $100/10 uplifts.

Fantastic facility, a little hard to find the entrance on google maps but well-signposted once you approach the listed address. Looking forward to seeing what else they add to the park.

Friendly staff and great tracks. Could do with a bit of track TLC now that they've been in use for a while. Oh, the bacon and chicken burger is awesome.

Park is great did the zip line today and it was good but coffee was weak and cold and pizza was a bit disappointing I will give the cafe a miss next time
