Reviews of CoCA - Centre of Contemporary Art Toi Moroki
N.
Probably the best art gallery experience I've had. No entry fee, and the lovely guy on the front desk gave me a tour with some fascinating discussions re. the art. Highly recommend checking this gallery out!
C.
Awesome place there is no entrance fee it’s on donation basis. It’s very interesting art. Highly recommended place. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

CoCa has been an institution in Ōtautahi Art exhibitions for a very long time with a long history of innovative and exciting local art to enjoy for any visitors! Please do come along if you are in Christchurch. My photo here shows an example of lathe cut vinyl records and sleeve art from the most recent exhibition. Stunning! Come have a look.

Really enjoyed Mid Century Morrison at CoCA. Check it out for yourself.

No entrance fee and very close to set gallery.
J.
nice exhibit, quite small but had fantastic art !
N.
Great architectural achievement with the finished look, given the restraints with its transformation. A wonderfull asset for ChCh to have.
K.
The excellent and petite companion to the Christchurch art gallery next door. Has a great cafe called Lux and the best looking koha box found anywhere. Dont miss out if you're doing an arts tour of chch.
S.
Good gallery, there are two exhibition spaces so allow for a visit of up to an hour. Great cafe on premises
W.
Lovely to see all the personal messages and thoughts. Arohanui.
M.
Always wonderfully curated and fun to visit. The cafe below a bonus!

The current exhibition Paemanu: Nohoaka Toi is amazing, definitely worth a visit. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the coffee next door was great too.
M.
I usually just go to the cafe, but it usually has some interesting things to look at. Definitely not as conservative as the art gallery next door (or the average attraction in chch)
P.
Always interesting, and a complimentary adjunct to Christchurch Art Gallery. There used to be a collection here: it's gone, and I miss it.
M.
Great gallery. Great exhibition. Lovely space. Great cafe downstairs
P.
Great environment to view art with friendly and helpful staff. Cafe with delicious food and coffee afterwards.
S.
A great resurgence of interest in art in all forms will allow this unique gallery to shine. Well done CoCA for rising up.
G.
Greenpeace presentation showed us that our exported recycling is being burnt instead of recycled. This harms environmental and locals health severely.
M.
Small gallery and just recently open, so everything is clean and tidy. Worth the shoot if you are in arts and near by
T.
Great local showcase for modern art ! It is free but you will want to make a donation!
D.
If you like contemporary / modern conceptual art then this is the place for you. Nice coffee shop too.

I loved it. Great space, great staff, some real big triptych energy.

Interesting art gallery, takes some time to understand it and might need to visit again to fully understand.
B.
The good thing is that is free. Lots of things to see. Perfect for rainy days.
